This is a truly lovely hotel! When we arrived at reception - tired after our journey we were instantly impressed. Gabriel checked us in very efficiently - we had the room we had requested and he offered us a cool refreshing lemon drink. The foyer smells gorgeous and the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. The porter took our bags and escorted us to our sea view terrace room which was lovely. These rooms have a private terrace with 2 sunbeds plus chairs and a little table. A good place to sit with a late afternoon drink every day and watch the beautiful sunset over the sea. The clever design of the grounds of this hotel means that even if there are a lot of guests staying - you never feel crowded. There is even a little garden and agility equipment tucked away in an area of the grounds especially for those who have dogs with them! We used the sunbeds outside our room every day but we noticed that there were also plenty of sunbeds available around the 3 swimming pools - so no need to get up at dawn to reserve your place! We booked room and breakfast - and the breakfast was top quality. There was so much variety and choice of hot and cold food that I'm sure even the fussiest person would find something delicious to suit them. The omlettes were cooked to order and tasted amazing. We sat outside every morning and we were looked after brilliantly by a lovely kind lady called Eleni who made sure breakfast ran smoothly every day and made everyone feel so welcome. Together with the other ladies she made sure that all the guests had everything they needed. It is very easy to walk along the flat promenade from the hotel along the sea front to the pretty port where there are shops and lots of beautiful restaurants. We also ate at the pretty open air taverna attached to the hotel and by the sea. The food there is very good. There is live music there too which is great. There are also some traditional little tavernas across the road from the hotel which are very inexpensive too. The one I would recommend is Viva Cyprus. Very tasty food. There is a lovely spa and a gym at the Almyra which we used every day. They also have yoga and pilates classes every day. It is cool and calm and smells gorgeous! The manager of the hotel Mr Panagiotis Tsourdiou and the Guest Relations lady Karim Pontes are always around at breakfast and throughout the day and very friendly and approachable - so if you have any requests or queries it is very easy to speak to someone. I really like this hotel. I needed a stress-free, relaxing break in a beautiful place - and that's what I (and my friends) got. Absolutely lovely. We will be back.

This was our third visit to the Almyra. We absolutely loved our stay, I could not fault the service, the location, the food, the kids club, the whole place was immaculate and everywhere you look it has beautiful views of the sea. We visited with our 2 children ages 4 and 7, the staff were so friendly making the kids feel special at every meal. In particular Nicoletta in Mosaics was wonderful when arrived at the hotel at dinner time she made us feel instantly welcome. We were also lucky to have the help of Izabela from the guest services who assisted with all our restaurant reservations and even helped my husband to arrange a gorgeous, surprise, bouquet of flowers for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were on the full board rate and honestly we struggled to eat our meal allowance as all the food was so well priced we felt like it was an all inclusive. The food, by the way, is of an incredible standard. We were spoilt for choice with an option of 7 restaurants to use our meal allowance in, including the Antasia beach club set on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed a selection of Asian dishes, sushi, Greek, Italian and delicious salads. Every meal we left feeling satisfied and honestly spoilt with such wonderful food in beautiful settings. Our favourite this year was Ouzerie. The pools were also incredible and the shallow pool felt so safe for our kids and they had a very sensible but beautiful shade over the pool. The other benefit of staying here is you can take advantage of the pools and restaurants at their sister hotel, Annabelle, which we did. The pools are fun for the kids as they have a cave pool. Another big tick in the box was that we never had sunbed wars. You could head to any pool at anytime and there was always sunbeds available. We also took advantage of the kids club and our kids loved it. Rose who managed the kids club was so helpful and made the children feel instantly welcome. All staff are fully qualified and they had a wonderful schedule of activities planned each day. For our eldest he was lucky to be taken to a pottery workshop and bowling. And both were taken swimming and to the beach whilst we enjoyed the adults only infinity pool. The hotel is located right by the harbour so if you fancy a change of scenery it’s a short walk to reach other restaurants, little shops and just outside the hotel is the water sport centre so we booked parasailing. A dreamy holiday and we will be returning without a doubt.

We have just returned from our second stay at the Almyra.
Much like our first stay, our second stay was wonderful.
The staff are very kind, helpful, and professional, they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had great experiences speaking with the staff all across different departments of the hotel: reception, breakfast, pool, and housekeeping. It is also great to visit a hotel where you recognise staff from previous years. There are particular staff members that stood out to us as exceptional: Dragos (reception bar), Theodora (pool bar), Dionsis (breakfast staff), the female chef at breakfast who cooks the omelettes, and Marco the porter.
The grounds of Almyra are clean and well kept. The rooms are stylish, clean, and simple. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, high quality toiletries are provided, and a bottle of water daily. The sea view rooms have extraordinary views which are worth the cost. There are some cats that roam the grounds of the hotel and we really enjoy seeing the staff being very kind towards them. We even recognised some of the cats from a previous year, which tells us that they're well looked after.
The breakfast is great. There is a selection of dishes available, from continental breakfasts to traditional Cypriot dishes. I particularly enjoy seeing the Cypriot breakfast dishes available, as it preserves the history and character of Cyprus in an area of Paphos that is has had high tourist influence over the past decade. The beverage menu is extensive and we enjoyed numerous cocktails, prepared professionally and were very high quality.
We also used the spa and gym facilities in the hotel. The spa treatments and experience is very high quality and fairly priced. The spa environment is extremely relaxing and the grounds are very modern. There are also beautiful views from the spa rooms which you can enjoy after your treatment.
The spa also are able to have beauty and hair treatments. I enjoyed having my hair cut which I found very reasonably priced with a very professional staff member (I don't remember her name but she mentioned having worked at the Almyra for almost 17 years!)
The only area for improvement I can suggest is that last year we were offered a free 1 hour slot in a convenience room when checking out as our flight in the evening, this year it wasn’t available to us an instead we were told that we would have to pay to stay longer in our room.
The Almyra is now our go-to hotel when visiting Paphos.

The hotel was ok, but in my opinion it’s not a 5 star hotel. Our original room that we booked only had a juliet balcony which to be fair we should have noticed in the description, however photos on the Jet2 website were not clear enough. With rooms starting at over £200 per night (bed and breakfast) all rooms should have proper balconies. I have stayed all over Europe and have never seen a 5 star hotel with these balconies unless in the city.
The hotel has almost no atmosphere, you could hear a pin drop at the side of the pool. This is also the first hotel I’ve been to which doesn’t offer any form of entertainment, even in the evenings.
The breakfast buffet was very average (more like a 3 star hotel). All the eggs besides omelettes were pre cooked, and the fried eggs were not even remotely cooked on top.
The hotel do an evening housekeeping check, but it’s at around 6pm when everyone’s getting ready to go out for the night. The cleaners knock and if you don’t answer straight away, they just let themselves in. There were a few times the cleaner had let themselves into the room as I’d just got out of the shower and was stood in my towel.
Despite all of this, the pools were nice and the hotel has lovely sea views. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Overall we had a good holiday but wouldn’t rate this hotel 5 star and wouldn’t stay again, as I have been in many other hotels with better value for money.

We are frequent visitors to Almyra, primarily because the staff are outstanding and take immense pride in their work. It's clear that many of them view their roles as a vocation, and I love that several have been with Almyra throughout their entire careers.
Traveling with children who have celiac disease has always been challenging, as finding a truly celiac-friendly holiday destination is nearly impossible. However, Almyra has consistently catered to our needs, ensuring that we enjoy delicious food without any contamination concerns. We opted for the full board option to guarantee our kids could eat safely and well.
Several staff members have made our stays exceptional:
Marcus, who greets us warmly each year during check-in, making the end of our long journey feel like a reunion with old friends.
Epida Kyriaaiov, the Executive Sous Chef, who crafted a creative and celiac-friendly menu for each meal that delighted our children's taste buds with three wonderful courses.
Milen, the restaurant manager, who was always on hand to ensure we had everything we needed promptly.
Eleni, who quickly addressed every request and even went out of her way to ensure we left Cyprus with homemade Cypriot feta cheese.
Christof at reception, who resolved a missing taxi pickup for my 16-year-old and even offered to drive himself if necessary.
Despite the exceptionally humid July, the shaded pool and numerous canopy-covered areas allowed us to enjoy our time without worrying about sunburn. The hotel's proximity to the sea provides a refreshing breeze, which is always welcomed.
I love that Almyra offers a peaceful atmosphere, yet is conveniently located near entertainment options for all ages. My children, aged 11 and 16, found plenty to enjoy during their holiday. We also met wonderful people, many of whom we have stayed in touch with beyond our vacation. Almyra truly provides a unique and welcoming experience every year

The hotel was very relaxing. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always had a smile. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to the central and port area which took only 5 minutes along the coastal path. The rooms were very quiet and no sounds from other rooms could be heard. There was plenty of choice of food at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and left feeling very relaxed. I recommend this hotel.

To get away from the Berliner Geböller and relax and work for a few days over New Year's Eve, the Almyra on Paphos was the perfect choice! The entire complex - no small hotel - is purist in design without looking cold or uncomfortable. The rooms (with me a Kyma suite, highly recommended!) are spacious, the private terrace with sea views was wonderful. In general, the entire facility is very well maintained and everything works - in the off-season no given. The food (including the incredibly fast room service) was just as you would like: Nothing exaggerated or artificial, but everything tasted very good! All employees are highly professional, very friendly but never intrusive. Two employees would like to mention in particular, Eleni and Anna. The wonderfully warm and life-smart Eleni had the huge breakfast area under control every morning without having a controlling effect - a fine art! In the spa area - a special feel-good place - Anna was a very competent, knowledgeable and devoted therapist. Conclusion: a 100% recommendation and thanks to the entire Almyra team!

Writing this review whilst still on holiday. The hotel, team and experience are all exceptional, dealing with 40 degree plus heat they continue to deliver a 5 star holiday. Situated next door to the sister hotel, The Annabelle as a half board guest (which I would recommend) you have access to 6 very good restaurants plus two buffets. After 10 days we have not had a bad meal, lunch at Notios by the pool at The Almyra is always excellent and the staff are working flat out in extreme heat. A special mention to Izabel in guest services for making everything work smoothly and the housekeeping team who make the Kyma rooms we are staying in feel like day one everyday. There are many options within this budget and having been to Sani and Ikos this is the standout experience. Well done team Almyra - thanks for a great holiday!

We have just returned from what I can only describe as the most perfect family holiday at the Almyra hotel in Paphos. I chose this hotel with great care as it had interconnecting rooms which was a definite must for us due to having 4 year old twin boys. The hotel is the perfect balance of being family friendly and luxe and everyone was so helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. We went bed & breakfast and the room service and restaurants offered great quality at very good prices so we never felt the need to go anywhere else during the heat of the day or if we fancied a late night snack. Top tip, if you want a late check out, see if this is possible on check in!!
Although we rented a car, we didn't feel much need to leave apart from a day at the waterpark and a few late afternoon trips to Coral Bay beach.
I just have to mention a few people who made our stay extra special.
Chris on reception was very welcoming when we arrived after a long journey and ensured the check-in process was smooth and fast.
Eleni at breakfast was so helpful and attentive and always got our coffee orders right.
Domenika at the Notios restaurant was wonderful with the boys and was very helpful with recommendations with food and wine which were so great that we went everyday!
Nikolaos by the pool was incredibly helpful too and couldn't do enough for us when we needed anything.
Last but not least, Markos on the front door was brilliant at welcoming us and being so helpful, he honestly could not do enough for us and was brilliant with my twins, we were very grateful for his help!
We met some lovely families there too and although it was busy over half term, it never felt too busy. I am already looking at coming back next year!!

We booked almyra for our honeymoon after having high expectations from visiting as a day pass previously. As this hotel is 5* we agree the facilities such as the restaurants, lobby and pools are this. However the rooms and hallways are definitely not 5*, they are very tired and worn and do not live up to this standard. We paid extra for a balcony as advertised with a sea view, however this was a partial sea view and most of the view was of the Annabelle hotel next to us, the cheaper rooms without a balcony have a perfect view, which does not make sense if you pay extra. The air con systems are non existent in the hallways to the rooms and the room air con systems are very dated so are not effective so you are still sweating even if at full power. For the amount you are paying for this hotel the rooms are very basic. We booked the Aphrodite package, which was petals, strawberries dipped in chocolate and sparkling wine. On arrival only the petals were in the room so we had to go down to reception to ask about the remaining, it was disappointing as it would have been nice to not have to ask. They also didn’t even have the right information down for this package despite confirming via email with the Front office manager. The staff here at the pool and restaurants are amazing and go at their way to make your experience great, we cannot fault the food and drinks but you do pay for this 5* level of quality. We raised all our issues on the second day, was offered a different room which was worse than our current and had no sea view at all and nothing else was done even though we were told we would be updated daily on a better room. Baring in mind this was our honeymoon, we were extremely disappointed and would not come to stay again. If they had tried to rectify our issues or offered a goodwill gesture we would have been satisfied but nothing was done and from a 5* hotel you do not expect this poor level of customer service. And for them to be aware this is our honeymoon, it was not the honeymoon we would have wanted. And to end the trip there was a dead cockroach in the hallway on checking out!
