We stayed at Sofianna for 10 nights all inclusive. We arrived late in the evening and were shown to the lobby bar and were given drinks of our choice and a sandwich to eat which was basic but fine & then taken to our room with bags by member of staff.

Our room was a pool view superior room which overlooked one of the two pools. The room was spacious, very clean and the air con was good which was needed. Towels and bedding were changed frequently and maids were very friendly when bumping into them in the hotel. You can hire towels from the spa for 10€ each deposit which we used for the pool and these too can be changed every couple of days or so.

The hotel itself is modern and clean with two pools and a childrens play pool if you have kids. There were plenty of loungers and the lifeguard who was friendly fetched more if needed for people. The hotel is a five min walk to the main front/harbour. Theres a little shop on site which is a little pricey but has a variety of stuff and there is a supermarket very close by.

The food was exceptional. Probably the best we have had for an all inclusive stay. Each night the theme changed and we particularly loved the mexican and oriental evening. The food is flavoursome and hot with various options for chicken, beef, pork, vegetarian and fish dishes each night. A large salad bar which was tremendous and lovely tasting desserts. The breakfasts were fantastic also, we opted for fresh omelettes most mornings which were made by the chef infront of you and were great. I dont know how anyone could criticise the food. The alcohol was good for me as a beer drinker. Choice of two local beer Keo and Leon along with Carlsberg. Decent but basic cockatil list, soft drinks, iced coffees, milkshakes & slushes etc all available.

I must make mention to Alina who worked in the pool bar. She is an absolute credit to the hotel and she made our stay and visit to the bar very easy with her friendly demenaour and knowing our drinks after the first couple of orders. She is fantastic and i hope she gets to read all the reviews about her (seen a few).

We were also very lucky to meet some lovely people during our stay who again had nothing but good things to say about the hotel / staff.

We used the gym a couple of times during our stay which had plenty of machines / equipment within.

Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and famly. Looking to return at somepoint in the future.

I just couldn't decide where to stay in Paphos so I thought I would look at where the Paphos marathon recommend and this was one of the hotels.

I stayed in room 3014, a swim up room with my 18 year old son. Hotel was very clean both inside and out. Food was really nice and my son liked the option of the snack bar between meals. Beds were really comfortable too

The towels cost 10 euros to hire and you get the money back on check out

WiFi was very good, didn't really watch the TV but there was one move channel in English to watch

Hotel was close to the harbour and main bus stop

I stayed 4 nights, I booked direct with hotel and this saved me £600 rather than booking with a travel website, I had good communication from the hotel prior to arrival. They also recommended a taxi service and they were good too, jack and sons

We stayed at the Sofianna as we were attending a family wedding, it’s a fantastic base point to easily explore the area and the harbour front is just a couple minutes walk!

The hotel itself is spotlessly clean our room was more than spacious for a standard double and we had a very pleasant corner balcony overlooking the swim up pool area, which was lovely because it was a quiet spot in the evening if you wanted to just chill out. all staff very friendly and do their utmost to accommodate requests our flight there and back was very late - sandwiches provided on arrival and the offer to keep our room for an extended check out was very much appreciated!

Tea/coffee facilities are available in your room and a fridge which offers two complimentary bottles of water which is always a nice touch

There were plenty of sun loungers available - even when busy there’s always availability which is great!

The hotel is divided up into main hotel and then attached blocks don’t worry it’s not massive - I’d seen some previous reviews noting about the distance from their room to the entrance etc but rest assured it will not take you any more than a couple of minutes and there are multiple access points if you are in one of the adjoined blocks to access the pool areas etc. if you have mobility issues or younger family members, then yes a room within the main hotel may be better suited.

We were all inclusive as it was cheaper than the other boards, due to the nature of our holiday we didn’t always eat at the hotel but when we did the drinks selection was great and a vast range of food choices available that can most certainly cater to fussy eaters. There is also small nibbles provided throughout the day (ice creams, chicken tenders mini burgers etc) after breakfast and after lunch, with an onsite shop, so definitely options aplenty.

If you are looking for a place to stay that is walkable to local amenities but also has a bit more privacy this hotel is definitely a fantastic choice!

We visited in late May as whilst this is still considered low season the temperature was beautiful 25+ degrees and plenty to do in the surrounding area (we opted for the ocean vision cruise, Aphrodite waterfall buggy tour and water sports day) I would love to come back it was an amazing holiday with great people!

Arrived on 1 March, opening day after some renovations and start of the season. You’d never of known it was day 1 of opening as everything was running smoothly.

Restaurant was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault the quality or quantity of the food and drinks served to the table which some other all inclusives don’t , so this is a positive.

Rooms are a decent size, very clean, lots of plugs sockets and lights over the vanity mirror which is always a bonus. Hair dryer on wall in bedroom not great, as you have to hold your finger on the button constantly. One night it burnt out and wouldn’t work, so the hotel bought a ‘normal’ hair dryer as I couldn’t dry my hair and wanted to go for dinner.

We were in room 3312 overlooking the swim up rooms and pool. Nice view. We had a shower over the bath which is a bit outdated now as would have preferred a walk in shower as other rooms have but that’s not a deal breaker. Beds a bit hard but got used to it after a few nights.

Location is fab, for walking to the harbour and the mall etc. We’ve stayed in a few hotels along the sea front which yes a sea view is nice but Sofianna’s location makes up for lack of sea view.

Evening entertainment was ok and lots enjoyed the quizzes and bingo but this is week one of the season and the hotel wasn’t busy so was good they had some entrainment. The girls worked hard and were lovely snd chatted to everyone.

Couple of things let the Sofianna down for us, the Spa, we paid over €150 for a massage and facial and whilst hubby was having his massage I went for a swim in indoor pool, had to share the pool with young kids, playing and having fun which is what kids do, BUT the rules are no children under 16 in the pool. My husband’s relaxing massage wasn’t very relaxing as all he could hear was the kids!

Other niggle we had, you could have Keo beer in the restaurant and pool bar but had to pay extra for Keo at the inside bar in the evening ? Doesn’t make sense. The wine is out of a carton and for me wasn’t drinkable sadly, so the gin & tonics were my tipple which were ok.

All in all we had a lovely week.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your recent stay at Sofianna Resort & Spa. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed our fantastic location, friendly staff, and the quality of our food and drinks service. It’s great to know that you’ve noticed that despite being the first day of the season, everything ran smoothly for you. We appreciate your comments regarding the rooms, and we’re glad you found them clean and well-equipped. If you prefer walk-in shower, you can put your request on your booking and we do our best to satisfy the client’s requests. It’s wonderful to hear you made the most of our location and that our entertainment team helped create a welcoming atmosphere. As the season progresses, we continuously enhance our entertainment offerings, so we hope to impress you even more on a future visit. Regarding the spa and indoor pool, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. In March and November, our heated indoor pool is open to guests of all ages. The sign stating otherwise was incorrect, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your visit. We also appreciate your feedback on the drink’s selection. We offer three brands of draft beer in the restaurant and the outside pool bar, while the Lobby Bar serves two. Only draft beer is included in the all-inclusive package, so bottled beer is available at an extra charge. We apologize for any confusion regarding this and appreciate your understanding. We’re so pleased you had a lovely week overall, and we truly hope to welcome you back in the future for an even better experience. Warm regards, The Management

The resort is clean and staff are pleasant, the location of the resort is close to a fun night club Flares, poker club, sports bar, karaoke club and a short walk to the Harbour. There is a shopping centre.

The rooms are clean and spacious the bed is very comfy and has a chair that can be turned into a 3rd bed for a child. approx 10-15 coat hangers in the wardrobe and plenty of room for clothes. There is a Safe in the room thats free to use. Bath with a typical shower head at the end of bath. The bathroom has shampoo and shower gel and a hair dryer, Towels are changed every two days, The balcony is spacious for two people and has a hanger to dry clothes and towels. 2 chairs and table.
Each guest receives a Beach towel so no need to bring your own. There is a laundry room on site with two washers at 4 euros to use but the Iron and ironing board is in the laundry room and free, laundry room is open 7am-7pm
The food in the resort is fine, breakfast is fry up , cereals, Yogurts and dried fruits and lunch is always plenty of options. each night is themed, Asian night, International, Italian, Mexican., Sunday Carvery.
The drinks are OK typical cheap Liquor, all low alcohol so you won't get drunk. 3 options for draught lager, Keo Pilsner, Leon Lager and Carlsberg. For soft drinks Pepsi and Tango and slush Puppies are good. Ask for a vodka Slushy and Baileys Ice Coffee are good. Only real Criticism is they serve all alcoholic drinks in soft plastic cups even at night time and you can't ask the bar staff to use the ingredients to make something as they will refuse so if not on drink menu u can't have it. There are always going to be people enjoying themselves and yes there are wedding groups but nothing over rowdy or spoiling anyone's else's holiday. Plenty of sunbeds and if you can't find any staff will bring additional out for you.

A lovely holiday and certainly would book the same resort again.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review of your stay with us. We’re delighted to hear that you had a lovely holiday and that you would consider booking with us again! It’s great to know you found the resort clean, the staff pleasant, and the location convenient with all the nearby entertainment options. We’re also pleased that you enjoyed the comfort and amenities of your room, as well as the variety of food choices throughout your stay. Regarding your comment about the use of plastic cups- around the pools it is obligatory by law for health and safety reasons. There is also an alternative option of polycarbonate glasses. Thank you for highlighting the availability of sunbeds and the helpfulness of our staff in ensuring you had what you needed to enjoy your time by the pool. It’s wonderful to hear that despite the lively atmosphere, you felt the environment remained pleasant for everyone. Clients’ satisfaction is our main concern, and we are happy to read that we met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable stay in the future. I’ll start by saying I’m quite fussy I was expecting a lot from the reviews and I was quite worried as a lot of the reviews were for the spa

We are still here and half way through our weeks stay and I can say how lovely it’s been

Our room is very spacious we have 2 children with us which over looks the pool with the kids pool at the end we can even see the sea after reading the reviews before i made sure I asked for a quiet room which I feel like we’ve got we can hear the entertainment but only if on the balcony and I wouldn’t say it’s loud

Drink and food
Are both really good breakfast and evening meal is lovely we had a carvery yesterday and it was delicious desserts are also amazing
The self serve ice cream in the snack bar is great but comes out quick the snack bar it’s self is good but it’s been the same every day so we are going to the main. Restaurant today for a change
Me and my husband are going through the cocktail list they also gave us a whole carton of milk so I can make my baby a bottle
They have slushies and Milkshakes

Kids club and entertainment
My daughter loves it to be honest there are hardly any children here at the moment we got up late yesterday but still got our seat by the kids pool there’s not rush for beds as far as I can see
My daughter has learned the dance and has loved the team they are all so friendly

Most nights we’ve walked to the harbour it’s such a quick walk down a little hill shops are all full of the same ol tat which I love a look around

The hotel is so clean the little shop I don’t think is that pricey it has the bits you need even the blow up toys are reasonably priced it’s non smoking hotel they have an area where you can smoke which isn’t far and it gets rid of the husband for a few mins we did over hear someone got fined for smoking on their balcony so if you’re a smoker it might be something you need to know the kids pool can slippy but our kids have swim shoes and we haven’t had an issue

There are a couple niggles but as I said I’m fussy

We weren’t sure what the food was but noticed after 2 days they have the signs above the food the first 2 days we guessed which was fun for the husband as he likes to try everything any way

No kids channels on the tv that I can find even in a different language would’ve distracted my kids for half hour but we had an iPad so again not end of the world

I don’t like Pepsi

We have a bath in our room and the shower isn’t amazing and that is slippy for baby so would need a bath mat I haven’t asked for one but I suppose I could if I was really bothered

I mean not exactly a long list of issues we have really enjoyed so far

Today is our 10 year anniversary and we are so happy to be celebrating here

Only thing missing for me is the beach on site but I suppose I can’t mark them down for the haha

We're delighted that your stay has been so enjoyable, especially on such a special occasion as your 10-year anniversary—congratulations! It’s wonderful to hear that your room is spacious enough for your family and that you’re enjoying the lovely pool and sea views. We're glad to know the room's location is to your liking, providing the peace you were hoping for. We’re thrilled that you’re enjoying the food and drink options. It’s great that the self-serve ice cream and snack bar have been a hit, though we appreciate your feedback on the variety. We’re also pleased you’ve found the cocktail list enjoyable, and we're happy to provide milk for your baby—little details like that make all the difference. It’s fantastic to hear your daughter is loving the kids' club and entertainment team, and we’re glad there’s plenty of space at the kids’ pool for everyone to relax without a rush for sunbeds. We’re grateful for your honest feedback on the minor niggles as well. While we’re glad they haven’t affected your overall experience, we’ll certainly keep them in mind. Stayed here for 10 days in a swim up pool room, didn’t expect to be sharing a pool with the whole hotel usually you pay extra to have a pool exclusive to certain rooms. The pool did get very busy and was disappointed that people were drinking in the middle of the pool and cups were in there as well as men/women using half the pool to launch footballs and not caring what guests they hit. Lifeguards did nothing about this. Would suggest making one pool adults only, and ensuring rules are followed. Room was very clean and spacious, we were lucky to have sun beds with our room but all of the other sun beds were taken at 7am even if they weren’t used until later, which needs to be looked at.
Food in the snack bar was the same every day, needs more variety for people who don’t want to use the main area. The pool bar was amazing served a variety of drinks. The food was great at dinner but staff let the food trays run completely empty so often you had to wait for them to be refilled, when it’s busy you do have to queue because there is only one main row of hot food. Location of the hotel is great, can walk to the shops and harbour. George and Alena are great staff members who are always friendly. Good family hotel, not for adults/couples the only entertainment is the onsite team who cater for kids.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your 10-day stay with us. We value all guest insights as they help us improve our services. We are sorry that your expectations regarding the swim-up pool room weren’t met but it is clear on our website that these rooms have access to the common pool. You have stayed with us during school holidays when in the resort we have the biggest number of children (July & August) so it is understandable to be more noisy. It’s great to hear that you found your room clean, spacious, and enjoyed the private sun beds. We acknowledge your concerns about the early reservation of sun beds. Unfortunately, some clients don’t follow the rules and policies. We’re glad you enjoyed the variety of drinks at the pool bar. Our location is indeed a great advantage, and we’re pleased you found it convenient. We're also delighted to hear that George and Alyna made a positive impression on you with their friendliness. We are a family resort, so we strive to cater to families especially these two months. If you are a couple and you choose to go to a family resort it is good to choose different period. I just had an incredible holiday in Paphos. Admittedly, it didn’t start off great when the driver dropped us at the end of the road and just pointed toward the hotel. But once we checked in, things improved—despite a small but annoying hiccup with the pool towels. You have to use euros to reserve them, with no option for card or pounds, meaning a trip to the ATM just to get towels. The hotel management wasn’t very accommodating about this and insisted we couldn't use hotel towels at the pool.

However, I can’t speak highly enough about the general staff. The chef was outstanding, especially with my child's nut allergy, ensuring we were well-informed and taking extra precautions. The restaurant manager even went out of their way to find some ice cream when dessert options were limited for him in the evening.

A final shout-out goes to the entertainment team—parents, you will not be disappointed. These entertainers were some of the best I've ever seen, rivaling those at five-star resorts. Greta, Dylan, Mary, James, and Skye were phenomenal. My kids couldn’t get enough of the activities and wanted to go to the kids club every single day. I think they were by far the best entertainment/kids entertainers out there.

Also the lifeguard was fantastic!! From Naples can’t remember his name.

It was so nice to speak to all the hotel staff on a daily basis and for them to check how our holiday was going.

Dear valued guest, Thank you so much for your enthusiastic review! We're thrilled to hear that your holiday in Paphos turned out to be incredible and that our staff could make your stay special. We apologize for the initial issues with the drop-off experience -unfortunately some drivers do not follow the instructions to approach the entrance of the resort, but it has nothing to do with the resort. Regarding your feedback for the pool towel process - we understand that needing a 10 Euro cash deposit for towels may have been inconvenient for you, and we appreciate your patience. This refundable deposit is in place to help guarantee the return of towels, as unfortunately, we’ve experienced cases where towels are not returned. The deposit helps us ensure towels remain available for all our guests to enjoy. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused during your stay, and we’re always working to improve our processes. We’re grateful for your understanding and thrilled that the rest of your stay was so enjoyable! We’re delighted that our chef and restaurant manager took care to accommodate your child's needs, and we’re so glad you felt at ease with the options provided. Our entertainment team, including Greta, Dylan, Mary, James, and Skye, will be over the moon to know they made such a positive impact! They put their heart into creating a fun and memorable experience for kids and families alike, so it’s wonderful to hear how much your children enjoyed the activities and kids club. We’ll also pass on your compliments to our fantastic lifeguard. It’s wonderful that our team’s daily check-ins added to the personal feel of your stay. Your satisfaction is our main concern. Thank you again for your feedback and for the highest rate, and we’d love to welcome you back for more wonderful memories in the future! Kind regards, The Management

This is our 7th time staying at the Sofianna and again what a fantastic time we have had after just arriving back home a few days ago.
From the moment we stepped foot in our room, the hospitality started after finding a bottle of champagne in the fridge and 2 champagne flutes as a kind gesture arranged by the manager the lovely Gretta for us again returning to the hotel.
We have stayed in all different rooms at this hotel, from the swim up rooms to standard pool view rooms and all of them are well decorated and very clean and Lora who cleaned our block of rooms is so hard working and friendly and goes the extra mile should you need anything.
I would like to say there are free safes in the rooms and also touch pad air conditioning that is brilliant and a TV on the wall and coffee and tea making facilities in the room. There is also shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms on the wall and also shower gel in case you forget to take it. The rooms are cleaned each day.
This hotel is spotless and well located with just a short walk to the harbour and shops along the sea front.
The food is delicious and never disappoints and we never eat out as the choice is so good and always hot and the restaurant is spotless and well organised.
Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the amazing George who always goes out of his way to be friendly and will sort out anything you may need, we would also like to make a special mention to Solene and Kelly who work in the restaurant who constantly have smiles on their faces and are so friendly and pleasant each time you see them.
Alena at the well stocked bar is also full of smiles and never stops working hard to serve the guests and also make your stay that much nicer.
There are plenty of sun beds around both pools and the entertainment staff try hard to make your stay a special one.
This hotel like many others now is a no smoking hotel however there are designated smoking areas with tables and chairs to use and most of the day these are in the sun so for the smokers it’s a nice place to sit and chat.
All in all this hotel is run very very well, everyone we spoke to loved the place and many, like us were returning guests who have been several times before.
We have booked again for later this year :)
Enjoy your stay and again thank you to Gretta and all the team for a brilliant holiday and see you in a few months :) G&R Cooper

Just returned from a week stay at this hotel and it is one of the best all inclusive hotels we have stayed in outside of the Caribbean.
Check in was late at night, we were checked in very quickly and within minutes were provided with sandwiches .
Room: We had a family room which was larger than expected and very clean and modern. There was bottled water in the fridge, kettle with tea and coffee supplies and a safe which was free to use. The air conditioning in the room was fantastic and much needed as it was really hot.
Pools: The pools were not over crowded and were very clean. Plenty of inflatables and people tended to leave them when they checked out, the hotel then keeps these at both pools for guests to use which was great for the kids. There are plenty of sun loungers, they're not the comfiest but we never had a problem getting enough for our group. Sun loungers are not supposed to be reserved before 8:00 but they are, but if you go to the pool and there are none left there is a big supply of them at the back of the covered lounge area next to the pool which you can help yourself to or the lifeguard will bring them over for you if asked.
Pool bars:one at each pool and plenty of drink options plus ice cream available in pots.
Snack bar: typical food was chicken, pork kebabs, pitta bread, burgers, chicken nuggets, chips, salad and deserts. The best thing in here had to be the ice cream machine where you can make your own mr whippy type ice cream in a cone.
Restaurant: we only used the main buffet restaurant which had a different theme every night.
The food in here is probably the best we've had at an all inclusive hotel. Lots of variety but would have liked to have seen more variety for kids and ice cream as a desert option.
Entertainment: the entertainment team worked hard throughout the day and into the evening. Cash prize bingo at the end of the night was a favourite for our kids.
The free WiFi was very good however we were disappointed that on the day of our departure when we checked out by 12:00 we were unable to access this for the rest of the day which would have been good to keep the kids entertained later in the day as we didn't get picked up for the airport until 8pm that night.
Location: Brilliant location, 5 minute walk to the beachfront and harbour area which is spotlessly clean with plenty of shops and restaurants. Walking in the opposite direction away from the harbour for around 10 minutes will take you to a lovely sandy beach.
There are plenty of car/scooter hires available along the way.

There were several wedding parties staying at the same time as us and on some days when the weddings were taking place the pools and restaurant were very quiet. On these days there were more free sun loungers than occupied ones for most of the day.

Overall this is a fantastic hotel which we would definitely return to.
I chose this hotel mainly based on the trip advisor reviews so hopefully this helps others in deciding when considering this hotel.
