One of only two motels in the township. Cleanliness is not generally something I notice. It's when something isn't clean, that gets my attention. However, the standard of cleanliness and the effort required to keep it so, definitely grabbed my attention. Glenda & Robbie are the friendly and obliging hosts- typical Kiwis really.

Really it’s quite good. The only downside is quite expensive for very basic facilities. Having said that it is very very clean. Everything works and it’s not too noisy. I would not hesitate to stay here again

Basic rooms, but very clean and tidy, it was appreciated when the Manager let us borrow their wheely bin for the day, helpful and friendly. Easy when travelling through, lots of parking, quiet considering just off from main road.

Filthy room, mould in the bathroom, stains on the bed, filthy windows and an owner who couldn't be more unhelpful. Said that was their standard and couldn't see a problem. Really disappointing. The reviews on this and other sites were very misleading. We weren't expecting a lot but expected it to be clean and hygienic which it wasn't.

Recommend. Has everything you need. Booked for one night. Because of illness stayed two. Hosts very helpful. Would definitely use again if in the area. Recommend as a stop over, dinner and breakfast available if required. Would stay again. Above basic. Very clean and equipped

Highly recommend Junction Motel. Stopped here twice in a week for my rest periods when doing a return trip from Auckland to Wellington.
The management & staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are very good and beds are comfortable and warm. The meal provided on both times was fantastic.

Stayed at the Junction Motel while travelling back from the South Island. Don’t recommend at all other than a good car park if you have trailer The room was dirty, filthy curtain in the kitchenette, the sugar jar was in dire need of a wash. Ants everywhere in the kitchen after we had a meal, resident spider and slug in the bathroom and no extractor fan leaving entire room wet Hot water wasn’t regulated burning my hand No fire alarms at all and unfriendly staff, what else can I say No stars……… and no my names not Karen………

Excellent host's highly recommend. Convenient parking. Great location don't need to drive away from SH1 to have a good sleep. Got everything I need. Very clean toilet. Dinner also served to my room. Comfortable bed and nice wall posts.

Me and my son left Wellington late and needed a room for the night.
My wife rang and a lovely lady took our booking and was not worried about the arrival time.
When we go there, check in was quick and cheerful.
The spotless room was basic but had everything we needed.

Found owners attitude un friendly. Would not recommend to people travelling with animals. Unit clean but door to bathroom unable to close. Useless Tv channels. If you like plastic flowers you will like the gardens
