Iceland is very safe for Solo traveller, we stayed at the Reykjavik lights hotel ask for room at front of hotel on a higher floor. Their is a bus stop right outside to take you to main town where there is a bonus supermarket. You can walk down its about 30 min walk and straight forward. Tours we used grayline who picked up and dropped of at hotel and where very reliable hope this
