Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were very disappointed with the customer service and overall experience at this "five star" hotel. There were some good things, the hotel was nice, clean, the valets were super, and the breakfast buffet was great. Unfortunately the negatives really out weighed the positives. We had requested early check in through my husband's bonvoy. Arriving at 4am from the States is brutal. We got to the hotel around 10am. The reception asked if we wanted a "nicer room" (meaning just a slightly better view) but it would take a little longer. We said ok! And he said he'd call and text when our room was ready. We wandered the city for a few hours, then came back and waited in the lobby, exhausted. The reception saw us sitting there and said nothing. Apparently our room had long been ready but no one had called or texted. We didn't get an apology, only a lazy "my manager said he called" excuse. The second day we left, came back in the afternoon to what appeared to be no housekeeping visit. Towels on floor, trash still filled, beds not made. After looking around it appeared someone HAD come, we had fresh glasses and coffee pods, but otherwise we'd never have know anyone came. I asked the front the desk "when does housekeeping come around" and again lazy excuse of "oh turn down service starts at 6" I said but we never got the day time service...? There was no response to that. We were pretty annoyed all in all by now. I expect a tab bit more of this kind of hotel. The final disappointment was our last night. Our 2nd floor room must have not been far from the "club" because we could hear and FEEL the music into all hours of the night. Really made it feel like a cheap college dorm at that point. For $600+ a night all of this was really abhorrent. Maybe it was just a really busy week we were there, the other reviews seem mostly positive. But you'd think they'd still be a bit more on point even when at capacity. We will definitely visit Iceland again, but we will stay elsewhere.

Great stay with excellent view and service. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is very comfortable. The location is very closed to city center and the sea. The design is elegant, breakfast is with a lot of choices and good quality.

This hotel is beautiful from the minute you walk into the lobby until you arrive in your room. Love the Lelabo signature scent. We had cocktails in the prety lobby bar as well as the rooftop bar. The bathroom has heated floors which was lovely after a cold day of exploring Iceland. Walking distance to restaurants and shops. Staff was super nice. Very easy to get our car from valet to explore each day. We will defintely stay here again on our next visit to Iceland.

Great hotel. Very welcoming. Make sure to try the spa. Food is great. Rooftop bar has a great view. Everyone was very great with the kids. Great location downtown. They provided great tips on what to do and where to go in Iceland. When we go back to Iceland we will most likely stay their again.

This was the penultimate and epitome of a luxury experience. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, inhaling that magical Edition scent, we knew we were in for something special. We have stayed in hotels and resorts all over the world, and this was the absolute best of any of them out there. The room was spacious, and anything you could possibly want in order to experience an incredible time In Reykjavik was there. Location, helpful and courteous staff, heated floors, tasty food that was worthy of social media post, a luxurious spa experience - Edition had it all. We did not want to leave and will be back. If you’re looking for the best of the best, this is it.

Very comfortable beds and pillows! If you enjoy wool blankets, their curated edition is the best wool blanket you’ll use; so good, I bought one. Heated bathroom floors is the cherry-on-top!! Hotel staff is very pleasant to work with and the bar tender makes the best Negroni

What a wonderful retreat for a cold windy visit. Perfect location, nearby bus stop, walkable to major tourist sites, restaurants and shopping. Beautiful view of the marina and surrounding mountains. The hotel was way beyond our expectations. Rooms were spacious, very comfortable beds, large bath with walk-in shower. Extra decorator touches with colorful bed covers, fur like rugs and sitting area. Vast selection of bath amenities, rich thick towels. They have their own very pleasant scent shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap and lotion. The staff well trained, knowledgeable about the hotel services and local tourist destinations. Lobby and lounge area were very clean and inviting. They offer an amazing welcome cocktail with snd without alcohol. Cafe offered various coffees and breakfast bakeries which were very good. Great stay, perfect location.
