Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came for lunch today & left very disappointed.
Staff were very slow, food was lukewarm but it was a carvery & took time to get from serving to table - partially our fault perhaps?
Atmosphere & setting was like a cheap school canteen or motorway service station not nice unless you want cheap & cheerful.
There are loads of other eateries around this area & the vast majority are way better sorry won't be back but what can you expect from anywhere catering solely to mature expats just wanting a cheap 'taste' of home.

Went to this hotel for Captains table golf club.
Check in quick
Rooms are clean and ok.
They have two parrots by the pool who squak loudly.
Do not expect to sleep past 6.30 as you will be woken up.
Food was ok but no organization staff walking round tables asking beef pork etc.
Hotel has a parking area where we parked. Next morning went to get the car and it had been hit by another car. Told reception who were not intrested and was told no cameras and parking is at your own risk nit intrested at all.

Stumbled back on the hotel having read an article in local English language newspaper saying it had re-opened. Simply put, it was great, went three times for breakfast (onsite bakery does the best fresh baps) and one Sunday Lunch (under 10 Euro's). Saw a couple of tribute acts. So all in all so pleased the guys are making a go of it and we will be back when next in La Finca. What's not to like.

Went for lunch at the hotel but when we arrived were told we could only have sandwiches and pastry’s. Asked if we could have chips but were told fryers were off but would put them on if we were prepared to wait which we did. Asked about sandwich fillings and were told they were made in the shop and it was like subway where you choose your filling 🙈 went to shop where a very poor and sad selection of fillings stared back at me. Bread here used to be amazing but tiger roll was pale and insipid. Salad was extra to the cost of the sandwich which was €4.95 and served on a paper plate which I carried through the restaurant to my table. My hubby ordered a slice of bread to go with his chips which was so thin it was see through and he had to collect himself along with the drinks we’d ordered.
Have been here lots of times before but with a heavy heart will not be returning for food as this was the worst food I’ve had. Will also reconsider drinking there too as it seems to have gone down hill again. I know it’s winter but surely customers should still get good food and good service. Saw 2 couples walk away presumably because they couldn’t get any food.

We have just checked out from a great weekend stay at this hotel, the rooms, staff and service was impeccable. Value for money is amazing and the entertainment is great. The staff even prepared an area to celebrate my sisters birthday while we were out for a walk to the village.

This hotel is ideal if visiting friends who have a small property in Algorfa. I was visiting a Danish friend who owns a small nearby appartment. We played golf for 6 days, and it was ideal for me with only a 5 minute walk to his house. Also, it is ideal if you need somewhere as a base when looking to purchase a property in the area.

The family who own the hotel are helpful and friendly and looked after me very well. The room and bathroom were large and the beds comfortable. Excellent temperature control in the room, which was also spotless and always with a fresh smell.

There was quite a choice for breakfast and in my case I had the freshly cooked English Breakfast' each morning which came with 2 slices of toast and each day we either had in addition a cake, croissant or a banana. The freshly made coffee was excellent.

We were four friends who one night had a good meal at the hotel and spent a couple of enjoyable hours playing pool at the free, quite large pool table. The hotel has a large restaurant/ lounge area with a well stocked bar. We also took advantage of watching different football matches on a large screen.

The rate for room and breakfast was extremely reasonable at 65 euros per night and the drinks are also very reasonable with a good measure.

I have really enjoyed stay there and will be back in the future.

Thomas, Denmark

We arrived@ 11 , 4 adults and 10 year old , waited 30 minutes to get an order placed for breakfast, when the food arrived it was all stone cold , the hash browns were black and cold, we started eating it . And then all quickly got put off. We planned a day out and this wasn’t a great start , it’s now evening and the 10 year old has been sick constantly through the day.
You cannot serve cold food that’s been sat around for hours to your customers otherwise you could make them very sick.
You need to get a chef that knows what they are doing and making sure the food is safe to eat.
We did complain, were told they would take something off the bill , but never did .

7 of us went for breakfast. I personally was happy - sausages in a roll - can’t really mess that up! The rest of it was tepid at best. The hash browns were really greasy, the bacon like boot leather, eggs cold and hard, the bubble was cold greasy and not proper bubble and the toast was so hard I couldn’t cut it. I had to ask for my breakfast and then ask for the mushrooms - an extra I’d asked for - then I had to get tomatoes as they gave me beans which they should’ve given to my friend - it worked out but it was awful. We also had to wait over half an hour for this rubbish. We’d heard the food had gone downhill and that sadly wasn’t a lie. Never again.

Went today for the Sunday lunch carvery. It was the best carvery I have ever had, with the good well cooked and warm, replenished regularly so fresh and plentiful. Friendly welcoming staff a great experience will definitely return. I
The evening entertainment the hotel hosts was extensive and offered something for everyone, coupled with the fact their, bread pastries, pies, cakes etc are baked on site in their own bakery, so how fresh can it get. Will try them out given evening meal and enjoy the entertainment soon.

We go to this Hotel atleast once a week with friends, the last few visits have been really bad. We Ordered 5 breakfasts this morning 1st July, and waited 45 mins before I went to the bar asking were our breakfasts were, the reply was the ordering machine went down and we have a new cook, she said the breakfast was being dished up, 10 mins later the food came out, every item on the plates were cold. So 55 mins to get cold food. Absolutely disgusting. Last time we eat there.

There was no pool last year. The owners were discussing reinstating the original pool but I don’t know if this has now been done
