From the moment we booked this hotel the correspondence was excellent. They emailed us before our arrival with the update of Corona virus restrictions. Check in was quick and very informative. The Receptionist also booked us for breakfast at 9am both mornings. Our suite was room 209 on the second floor. From the sitting room, the bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean and tidy. The coffee making machine was an added bonus as was the Glass of ruby port on the first night. Really enjoyed our stay and celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in Stockholm was special.
Just come back from a 2 night stay at the collectors victory , and we had had a great time staying there. The hotel was easy to get to on foot from the central station, after arriving on the Arlanda express ( not cheap but very good ) about 15 minutes walk. Check in smooth; the location on gamla stan is brilliant, the island is very small,so getting around is easy, very short walk to ferry to go to abba museum and to vasa museum (both excellent, and at the moment very ,very quiet). Must comment on the beds in our room ,super comfy, one of the best hotel beds we have ever slept in. Breakfast very good selection, did not eat other meals at the hotel but the restaurant and the bars were very full all the time ,very popular with locals. Staff very friendly, there when you want then, but not in your face. All in all we had a very nice stay at the hotel, and in Stockholm (even though Sweden is so far the most expensive place we have visited)…
So nice to return to our lovely home from home in the beautiful Gamla Stan. The service & rooms are as good as ever & we felt like welcomed family. Great location near to the excellent metro system. Nice
In the heart of Gamla Stan, you cannot go wrong. Top highlights and recomendations: 1. Get the Captain Johnannson suite if you can - This historic room set the tone for my first experience in Stockholm. 2. Book a session in the private Sauna!! IT's a MUST! 3.Grab a drink at Tweed bar if you can get in. 4. Don't miss the breakfast. My only two qualms: 1. They do not have full size pillows or comforters bigger than twin size, even for king size beds. So our king size bed had two twin comforters and we asked for a couple more pillows. 2. The suite did not have a blue tooth hookup and all of the other rooms did. However, the room had a CD player and cassette player (Does anyone own cassette tapes anymore?lol). They need to add an AUX cord to plug in a cell phone or external media device. Jennifer and the rest of the staff were fantastic and their attention to detail was impressive. Overall, I would give a rating of 9.5 out of 10 and I will be back.…
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Victory Hotel. Jennifer at the front desk was very welcoming and incredibly helpful, anticipating what we would want to know before we thought to ask. Our room was elegant and immaculate, as was the whole hotel and it is set in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Breakfast offered many delicious choices and you can choose to sit with other guests or by yourself. Take the opportunity to meet fellow guests at breakfast -- they come from all over the world and we met a wonderful couple who we had dinner with later that day. There are several Gelato shops nearby and they are really, really good. Also, lots of takeout restaurants on the next block if you're jet-lagged and just want to bring something back to the room.
