Overall the resort would get 5 stars it was clean friendly and easy to use even though we only speak English. My only complaint would be some of the food was not very nice and quite overpriced also some of the drinks are expensive but we found this was the whole of denmark not just lalandia. I also fell there was a little understaffed but this may have been due to social distancing, also I few of the restaurant where we wanted to eat were closed

it’s a bit like being in an airport when it comes to their prices of food and drinks, completely out of touch with the world outside.
That being said, the accommodation is reasonable, the center itself is quite alright, but when you charge 20 dkkr for a small bottle of water and 75 dkkr for a beer, you’ve lost any sense of reality.... now when you add a piece of (very average) pizza ( yes ladies and gents, a slice) for 60 dkkr, you surely believe you’re In an airport!! The kids had burgers at the aqua dome and they cost 45 dkkr, was very similar to the basic burgers you get in Burger King or McDonald’s (they actually looked exactly the same) and usually cost around 10 dkkr. I can’t remember the price of the fries, but surely they were way overpriced......
The price we paid for our stay included entrance to the aqua park and the (fairly small) play area, but there’s several other activities which is not included.
The fact that a lot of the accommodations is a mile or so away, and the train that runs between the cabins and the aqua park takes the day off between around noon and 17:30, is of no consequence provided that Lalandia can make a buck or two, But if you plan to bring your own car, to go to the aqua dome, which is in the same building as everything else, they are slightly cheaper than airport parking prices though.
Now, here’s the thing, you can drive another few hours to get to weissenhauser strand (and a few others), which is the same concept and of similar standard , but are cheaper on accommodations (albeit with slightly lower standards on some) don’t charge for parking, don’t try to charge food and drinks double the price of what you would pay in a city and don’t have any housing which is a mile or two away. Sure Weissenhauser have its flaws as well, but the Germans won’t stand for being overcharged just because they’re in a holiday Centre.
We opted to have several dinners in Vejle (25 min drive) which provided us with a lot better value and choice than we could get in Lalandia. There’s also one or two decent pizza places in Billund itself (a mile away) which provides decent value for money.
All in all, the kids had a great time, but next time we’re heading across the border, to get better overall value.

This is the place to stay when visiting Billund for Legoland and Lego House. The things on offer for the children is brilliant. Our child really enjoyed the soft play area, climbing frames and aracdes, as well as the Aquadome. The Accommation was more than adequate and the location of our place wasn't too far from the activity centre (you can get accomodation further out which is a much longer walk or get the internal road train).
A few things to note.
It's alot easier if you have transport (ie. Car) as you can goto the local supermarket. There is one onsite, but it's not that big and I wonder if it's more expensive than the supermarket in Billund.
For those arriving by plane, you can get a taxi directly to your accomodation without having to goto reception.
Electricity is not included, so you have to pay for your usage at the end of your stay. Haven't seen that in quite awhile (going back to old Holiday camps in the 70s and 80s when there coin meters).
These places are privately owned and not directly owned by Lalandia, so the owners would incur the costs.
Rubbish is not collected, so you have to take everything to the rubbish huts at the end of your section.
I thought the eateries we used there were good (Bones and Cafe Plaza).
It is nice and quiet, as usually everyone is out during the daytime and there are strict rules on noise (especially after 11pm) which people seem to adhere to.
Certainly would come back to Lalandia if coming to Billund again.

We got stopped by staff in the change room and told that we need to buy a special swimming pants for my baby daughter even though she was wearing swimming diapers. They had light pink and light blue and costed 120 danish crowns. After we bought some and went in, we found out the pools were cold and that the staff was very random about which babies need their special swimming pants.

We had a great visit.

Good points.
Accomodation is clean and functional.

Loads of free play parks around the site to use

Good location to access Billund and there is a free bus too.

Bad points.
The site is bloody massive and some of the houses, including ours, are literally miles from the centre! There is a land train but this only goes every 39min and still a bit of a walk away.

The aquadrome was busy with long ques for all the rides etc. It didn't feel truly like a relaxing tropical oasis as you kept bumping into people.

The prices of the restaurants were comical. However the takeaway pizzas were decently priced and they would serve them on plates to eat in if you asked.

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND getting the gold wristbands as not much money and made doing extras easy!

Swimming opens at 10:00, closes at 18:30 (last entry is 18:00). We never got in because we were up too early and no evening opening after long days at Lego attractions. Very poor.

The gym equally as awkward in opening times and should open early when people want to work out.

The accommodation very basic. I booked through booking.com and was not advised before arrival about ordering sheets and towels. Just as well we arrived within office hours as, yes - you guessed it! Service centre closes at 17:00 and I'm not sure what we could've done.

Also not my idea of a holiday to make and then strip beds!

Only cooking apparatus is provided - no hairdryer, toaster in house.

There are basic play parks and run down mini golf indoors and outdoors and ten pin bowling.

There are a few restaurants (tacos and family Italian buffet) neither of which were particularly good however there is good pizza to eat in or takeaway and a Bones (chain takeaway/ restaurant).

On the plus it was all maintained clean and tidy and the supermarket was well stocked with all you need (except hairdryers).

There is also Espresso House (imagine Danish Costa) for coffee and snacks and cakes, which we enjoyed in the mornings.

We travelled without a car however you really do need one with tired children, shopping bags, etc. There is a train which runs half hourly but always busy, could possibly be improved by running every 15 mins! These take you close by your lodge but we still had a walk beyond that to the house.

With a bit of effort this could be improved but as it stands it's an expensive and inconvenient self catering option at Legoland Resort. Next time I'll pay the extra for a hotel!

We just came home after a week's stay at Lalandia Billund in one of the Comfort Plus 4 lodges. The lodges were spacious, and very well equipped with its own washing machine, dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher. We were given one toilet roll and 5 dishwashing tablets. There was a mysterious bottle under the sink which I wasn't sure if it was washing up liquid. The lodge was very warm and our floor to ceiling windows in the living area faced the back. It meant we had more privacy compared to the lodges across the road with their living area facing the road.

We booked direct and pre-ordered the linen pack. They were at our lodge on our arrival. I saw a comment about having to carry their linen packs from the service desk. I saw a poor father with a little kid carrying three linen packs in the rain. I don't know why theirs weren't delivered to the lodge directly.

There were a lot of outdoor play equipment around the site. There were charging points on every lodge on our street. There was a supermarket called Coop SuperBrugsen about 2-3 minutes drive away. If you don't have a car, there is a smaller supermarket on site. There were a lot to do in the area if you have a car. There were a also a free shuttle bus going to wow park, Givskud Zoo and Velje until mid August.

There were two negatives. First, the Aquadome was very crowded. They sold a lot of tickets to day visitors (you can tell from their wrist bands). This led to very long queues for the slides. You need to queue to get the inflatable and then again to get on the slide. The queues can be 30-40min for one ride. Second, the showers were lukewarm and not hot enough. This was for both the showers in the lodges and in the Aquadome.

Overall, I will recommend staying in Lalandia if you are in Billund for the Lego experience.

Stayed for 2 nights on a 2 bed lodge, booked with Booking.com . We paid £450 which I felt was a little pricey but I did include access to the water park and other activities on site. However the bed linen was not included , nor were towels or water/electricity which had to be paid for at check out . The cost of this was an additional £40. On arrival after a delayed flight we found the reception /service centre was closed and despite sending emails and ringing the number provided on the confirmation email ahead of arriving nobody from the resort responded. Fortunately for us a taxi driver contacted someone who eventually arrived and opened the service centre to enable us to check in , by this time 3 other families had also arrived . Once checked in we were then left to wait outside on the cold with a baby and young child (11pm till 11.39pm) until the helpful taxi driver was able to return from his drop off and take us to the lodge - the total charge for this 5minute car journey was more than the cost of yhd taxi from airport to resort ! At check out I gave feedback on the check in experience but staff said it was not their problem as we had booked via booking. Com and not directly with the resort . I found this attitude disconcerting and wouif advise anyone travelling on an afternoon or evening flight to proceed with caution . The supermarket on the resort is well stocked and whilst a little pricey it wasn’t ridiculously expensive. The restaurants on site were limited and therefore we only ate from takeaway pizza which was ok in terms of food quality and price. On the last day we went to the aqua dome - amazing for kids , plenty of fun slides and water options , changing rooms overcrowded with naked people and not enough family cubicles . Our children thoroughly enjoyed the aquadome.

Just back from 4 night stay and I must say we couldn't have been happier with our accommodation. The house was cosy and warm despite cold weather, equipped with everything you need for cooking, cleaning and doing your laundry, including dishwasher and washing machine. Even the basic house for 4 people feels very spacious. Free Lalandia express runs every half an hour if you consider walking from the centre to your house approx 10 -15 mins too far. It is also very handy if you did your shopping and do not have a car. The Lalandia centre is amazing , full of activities for the whole family and the fact you get free entry to aquapark and huge indoor playground during your stay makes it really good value. We spent 2 days in aquapark and it is really well designed and clean, with warm changing rooms and free lockers. Supermarket on site is real bonus, too. If we decide to come back to Legoland we will definitely book here again.

We stayed for 3 nights in May with hot weather. The house is spacious and nice but basic. There are no bed linen (you can order them by paying extra and make the beds yourself), no salt, pepper, sugar, no detergent for washing machine. No AC, so it gets really hot. You need to buy everything, which does not make sense for a short stay.
There are about 700 houses on the property and they are about 10-30 minute walk from Lalandia center. There are no rental bikes or scooters. So if you come by car try to take bicycles or scooter at least for kids. It is much easier to move around in Lalandia and Billund with these.
The center has lots of activities for kids and adults, also a supermarket and restaurants. Aquadome is excellent, something for everyone. The fact that Aquadome and a soft play center for kids is included for Lalandia accommodation guests is a great bonus.

It depends - you book the entrance to the water park, and there you queue/book other activities (like Mini golf). I think they have a special deals for those that stay in their vacation homes.
