The hotel is well located and offers various facilities but is not the four star it claims to be. We wee in room 628 and had virtually no wifi connectivity. Despite repeated requests over four day it did not improve,. The rooms are dated and would probably qualify as three star quality. The restaurant staff was brusque at times and had to be reminded to refill the buffet dishes. In summary, the basic touch that separates a good hotel from an average one was missing.

We had a lovely week-long stay at the capsis hotel. It is located about 15-20 mins walk from the main sights but is right beside the train station and bus station. The wifi worked! The room was clean and well maintained whit air con and a comfortable bed. The roof top pool is heaven. My only complaint is it isn't open long enough! The breakfast was outstanding. Every possible taste is catered for in food. Only downside was there wasn't a dairy free option for coffee but in Thessaloniki there are coffee shops everywhere so I just picked one up when we went out. Overall for what we paid we got more than expected and would definitely choose this hotel again.

Unfortunately I can't give 0. reservation was done on booking, for 3 adults and 2 kids with breakfast included for 4 nights 600€ To reception said wasn't booked breakfast. They even didn't check if it's mistake or not. Rooms are very small and without balcony. I booked room with double beds, and they just put 2 single beds. Very disappointed, for this money I am sure we could find something much better.

+1
We stayed in a junior suite with two double beds. The room was very clean. There is also parking for the car with extra charge 8 euro per day. Breakfast is satisfying with variety of products. The location is good since it is near the centre of the city.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, we can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

It’s a very functional, well located central large hotel, clean enough and secure.
The rooms were clean, but basic, with very little decor (bizarrely a picture on the wall from Ironbridge UK). The air con in the rooms was underpowered. Rooms were quiet.
Some basics needed to lift it to a 4 star (5 is out of reach) like attention to minor details - the air con remote control was very clearly broken in arrival - needed replacement, the rooms safes (x2) were both locked on arrival, and we had a number of trips to reception for replacement keys as the doors were temperamental. Lighting throughout the hotel corridors was very obviously of the energy saving variety, but done in an unimaginative prison-block style. Gym access was via escort from reception; the gym was small, extremely stuffy and hot and with woefully underpowered ventilation / air con.
Top floor pool was small but pleasant, but they need to reconsider the shade options.
Food and drink ok.

I am a university professor, was recently invited to an academic event in Thessaloniki, and was offered accommodation at Capsis Hotel. Great facilities, excellent location, awesome and very rich breakfast menu. Staff very professional and helpful, in particular Athina and Marsa at the front desk were amazing and went out of their way to help me with a number of questions I had about the city.

In June, we hosted a scientific workshop at Capsis hotel for over 200 participants. It was overall a very good experience. The staff at Capsis were very helpful and accommodating prior to and during the workshop, particularly Mr Fyrgadas, Events Coordinator and our main contact person, who made sure it was a very pleasant experience working with Capsis. Mr Fyrgadas was always quick to respond to emails and calls, and he was available whenever we needed him during the workshop. The workshop attendees have indicated that they overall had a good time at the workshop. They did mention that the Wifi connection and the microphones in Theodora Hall could have been better. They also mentioned that the queue to lunch and dinner was too long, and that no wine was offered at the social dinner. But overall, they seemed happy with the meeting venue and accommodation. Thank you Capsis for helping us arrange this workshop on a short notice - we will definitely recommend you to others :)
