Nestled along a pristine beachfront, the Ammon Zeus Luxury Beach Hotel is a favorite for its stunning sea views and diverse dining options that contribute to its perceived good value. While guests are enamored with the free sun loungers and attentive service, some have noted room for improvement in maintenance and amenity replenishment.
The atmosphere is enlivened by cultural touches and live music, and despite occasional inconsistencies, the hotel's cleanliness and friendly staff receive high marks. However, the hilltop location may pose access challenges for some visitors.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed here for 7 nights and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is well run and the staff are very helpful. And most of all friendly. A big thanks to everyone for making our stay a great holiday. The beach location is fantastic and the beach is kept clean with enough sun beds for everyone, although there are still people who place towels on sun beds early in the morning but don’t show up for 2-3 hours later depriving families with young children on sun bed with shade. Access to the shops is easy via some steep steps or a walk up the access road which has a steep incline but with a beach front location this is to be expected. There is a good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. During the day we used Blue Sea View beach bar and also Sunway beach bar for end of day chill out beers both short walks along the beach from the hotel. So if you are looking for a chilled relaxing place to stay try Ammon Zeus you won’t be disappointed.

We decided, despite the COVID issue to spent our holidays on the last week of July and 1st week of August at Ammon Zeus having first viewed the accreditation of the EODY Anti covid shield procedures and practices. Indeed on our arrival a controlled environment was evident. Starting with temperature screening, followed by social distancing, existence of antiseptic in corridors, restaurants, tables and beach chair distances and cleaning, antiseptic spraying on every chair, table, windows, doors etc. All personnel was well protected with face masks keeping a social distancing when serving. Many thanks to Igor, Marianthi, the excellent chef, the Bar, Reception and cleaning personnel that were always willing to assist in every way and taking all precautions. A great team under the guidance of their operations manager Mr. K. Karavanidis.
See you next year,

We stayed here for 1 week bed and breakfast - varied age group in our party (from a couple who want nice food and a chill to late teenage kids who want good night life and a buzzy resort )
This hotel is immaculate and a high standard of cleanliness and service is provided by the hard working staff. Everyone takes pride in their jobs and this really shows. We were very impressed.
The bedrooms are lovely, Very comfy beds and pillows, bright and spotlessly clean. We had a sea view (view of the bay is breathtaking) and garden view (very pretty gardens) and both rooms great. The maids do an outstanding job everyday (Thankyou)
The location of the hotel is fabulous - the beach is soft sand and the sea very very clear (it’s amazing) We loved spending the morning on the free loungers on the beach. We then spent the afternoon around the pool which is fab too. Never an issue getting loungers there are plenty for everyone. We spent €20 on a cabana and that was worth the extra too.
We always went out for lunch and evening meals. Greek food is the best and I wouldn’t want to stay in and have a buffet (breakfast buffet nice though in the hotel) the beach tavernas to the left are fab (we highly recommend Aphrodite and Delphini Taverna) Also DK gyros in the town serve the best gyros we have ever had!
The only down side to the hotel is the food and drink in the beach bar which is way too expensive! €6.50 just for a bottle of water?? Are they kidding, complete rip off and it really annoyed us so we just didn’t spend our money there !!! The hotel management are silly really to do this as it forces people to look elsewhere for other options for food and drink. Shame as we would have spent more money in the hotel If it was reasonable priced like the local places next door.
My teenage kids highly recommend Pearl nightclub and said it was the best experience of nightlife ever! We also all really enjoyed all the restaurants and bars in Kallithea and Aftos (loved Aftos the best and it has a real mama Mia Greek village vibe) it is a safe environment and my kids said they all had a wonderful experience and returned home in the early hours buzzing about the friendly people they had met.
To round up it’s a great resort to suit lots of things for different age groups. We had a brilliant holiday and loved this part of Greece.
Would definitely return but may look at different accommodation that charges less for drinks and snacks. But then again the hotel is an amazing place so we may return (please reduce your water prices though lol!)

Been here for a week with my family, the staff were amazing! We came with a celiac girl which could not eat gluten, they were very helpful with food and cooking for the girl, making sure nothing will be missing. The girl got her lip hurt at the pool and also got stung by a bee (a bit of bad luck) and the staff were very professional and equipped with SOS kit to take care of her, coming later on to see if everything ok and if we need anything.
The hotel was very clean, food at the restaurant was good and with lots of options every evening. The hotel is very aware of the COVID -19 and was equipped with alcogel all around the hotel, and supplied gloves at breakfast and dinner. Room was cleaned everyday and supply of towels and shampoo and soap was never missing. The hotel area is heaven, the beach there very beautiful.

We booked 28 hours before and was worried about flying and the Plf form, but it all went smoothly and our flight was mostly empty, Hotel is an hour from the Airport, arrived late and the hotel had sandwiches waiting for us which was a lovely touch.
all staff warm and Friendly, the reception staff went out of their way for us as i wanted to upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite - Thank You again as it made our holiday
Spotlessly clean, everytime someone moved, they disinfected the area
Plenty of sun loungers
200 metre walk to town up a hill or steps
The beach was truly beautiful, warm seas, crystal clear and very clean
rooms are clean and spacious, we had a standard room with sea view but my daughter couldn't sleep because we breathed ( yes I think she wanted us to stop at one point ) so we upgraded to a 2 bedroom one and we all sept really well from then... the 2 bedroom rooms are amazing and the sun rises over the sea are just breathtaking, very clean and spacious with plenty storage space and 2 bathrooms.
the food was good but not much choice for fussy eaters as my children are. one morning i asked for beans and they brought them out which was lovely
We had such a lovely relaxing break and are looking to come back again soon
Thank you to all the staff i really could not fault any part of this holiday

We have just returned home after a 10 night stay at this fantastic hotel.
From the moment we arrived until we the moment we left we were so impressed by all the staff, Nothing was ever too much trouble! Customer service and friendliness off all staff is a real strength of this hotel. Hotel facilities, food and location were also very impressive too!
Maria on reception was very helpful, recommending and booking a boat trip (blue lagoon). This was a fantastic full day out which included visiting secluded beaches, swimming off the boat and lunch.
The location of this hotel is very special, our room had the most spectacular views of the turquoise seas and beyond! Evening views were equally as impressive, particularly watching the sun set!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom modern suite, 2 bathrooms (ideal for sharing with our 2 teenage daughters), comfortable beds, balcony with sea views. Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. With our room included a front row beach gazebo, we loved spending time relaxing on the beach, one day we hired a pedlo (15 euros for an hour) which was lots of fun! We also loved spending time at the pool and the pool bar. A great atmosphere, stunning views and great cocktails! I would highly recommend the berry mojito!
Food was of a high standard, lots of variety and always very fresh.
My husband enjoyed sampling red wine from the menu, recommended by the knowledgeable Stefanos, thank you!
We had the most amazing holiday, thank you from the ‘Hignetts’ (514) 😊

Avoid this hotel of the 70 ties which is badly situated and very hot in summer. We paid 500 euros for two nights breakfast and dinner included, when asked to switch dinner for lunch it was impossible. Breakfast is of very poor quality. The room was adequate but AC was badly explained with the result that we had a very hot night. Avoid this hotel. For 250 euro per night you have a wide selection in the area.

The hotel is situated on the beach, sun loungers are free and they also provide beach towels everyday which is a real bonus. There are lockers although the beach is safe enough and also waiters to bring food and drinks when you press the call button. The food and drinks are slightly more expensive than the town but not overly priced for a hotel. The hotel bedroom floors could do with a good hoover and steam mop as although they sweep them and mop them everyday, they still feel slightly dirty. The rooms was clean, water provided on the first couple of days which was a bonus. The food in the restaurant was generally always good, there were a couple of nights when we struggled a little with the selection available but there was always pasta and they did say they could cook you something if you asked. Our waiter Paisos was friendly and helpful and Katerina the lady who greeted us on arrival was so helpful when it was my daughters birthday and she organised a cake for her when I asked. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone although beware as there is a steep hill to climb to get to the town although we did prefer Afytos which was a €10 euro taxi ride. Would come back again.

Very kind staff! My highest points goes to Stefano!
Making every one of the guests feel special!
Overall very satisfied! Loved to swim in the sea and great that the sunbeds was of no charge for the guests. The buffe was awsome! Great food!
Working in the airlineindustry and very used in staying in hotels all over couldn’t find much to complain about.
Yes… the beds could be a bit more comfy and yes, the cleening could be a bit better but it is hard to find a hotel that is that perfect.
What I missed in the room was an iron… Or at least one to borrow. And I did not like the glassdoor in to the bathroom. Nice look but if someone wanted to use the bathroom in the night and turned on the light it lit up the whole room.
At the breakfast there was only one coffemashine so there was always a line.
Our deprture flight was late in the evening and the checkout at noon. There was a room to leave your luggage but if you wanted to spend the day at the beach they could only offer you to shower outside.
A room to lend for guests to shower would be very appretiated.

Just returned from a family holiday at Ammon Zeus, few things to say, firstly the hotel location right on the beach was amazing! There are plenty on Sun loungers, with umbrellas and lockers to store your valuables so you can enjoy the beautiful crystal blue sea with no worries. There is waiter service for your drinks or food to be brought out to you! Also there are huge doughnuts filled with chocolate sold for €2 by beach vendors delicious.
We often used the pool again never and issue with Sun loungers and the service from the pool bar was amazing.
We booked bed and breakfast and we had breakfast almost everyday in the hotel, food was good plenty to choose from, but mainly the same but that didn’t bother us, we did eat in the restaurant a couple of times for dinner and enjoyed the meals available.
The rooms were I little smaller than we’re used too, however this did not impact the holiday as we were hardly in the room, cleaned daily and water provided every evening, the water lady was my favourite she was so friendly with a warm smile!
The staff were probably the friendliest we have encountered, every single one!
My only issue was the hill… the hotel is on the beach and the bottom of a big steep hill, so if you have mobility issues not the place for you.
Great holiday, we are not returns, as we are explorers, but would recommend this hotel.

Lancaster District, United Kingdom11 contributions4 helpful votesHi I’d like to ask if possible you can use the sun beds on the beach if you are not staying at the hotel , and if so what us the cost please ? Thankyou 😀
Yes you can but I think the cost is £20 or £30 for sun beds and £50 for luxury ones, but it’s all dependant on availability and guests numbers :)
Hope it helps
