Our room on the 2nd floor was newly renovated. It was bright and clean with marble floors and a large window and balcony giving gorgeous views over the marina, canal, and mountains. Weirdly there was only one ill fitting curtain, not big enough to cover the whole window or block out the street lights, but that didn’t keep us awake. The bed was big and comfortable, and it had good reading lights and power sockets at either side. The bathroom had a corner bath with a decent shower above it.
The A/C was good - quiet, and not too dehydrating. We wouldn’t usually use A/C except in the height of summer, but it’s mosquito month in Lefkada 🦟🦟🦟 so sleeping with the window open wasn’t an option 😬
Given the difficult tourist season this year, Lefkada’s already beginning to close down for winter. The hotel was almost empty and didn’t have much atmosphere, but it seemed the best option among the few places still open. The reception staff were low key but always pleasant, and each morning at 8am they delivered a basic packed breakfast to our door - in line with covid restrictions. There were builders working in the foyer, as the renovations are ongoing, but they were quiet and considerate.
Small but important points:
There was a fridge and a kettle in the room - hurrah. We brought our own teabags, though, as only coffee was supplied.
The free wifi was a bit patchy but adequate.
The hotel doesn’t have a carpark. We had no trouble finding a space on the street nearby, but no doubt it would be much harder to park in a busier year/season.

August 20, 2023; We tried to contact reception by telephone 5 times because we were not informed in advance of the work in the parking lot, but no one ever answered to help us.
So we had to go around for more than 1 hour (without exaggerating) to find a place because the location was very crowded with people, then walk to the hotel with our luggage.
The worst is yet to come….
Once you arrive at the reception person. Nothingness. A hotel left abandoned with keys and telephones on the counter.
I ring the doorbell, I shout, but after 25 minutes of waiting, still no one. I then leave the hotel to ask for help at the fast food restaurant next door, the lady makes a phone call to the receptionist who was actually SLEEPING. Mind-blowing.
The receptionist finally gets up to give us the room key without even asking my identity… incredible
I allow myself to give him the thought that we have been waiting for over an hour and all he can say to me is: what the problem? with a smirk.
No apology from him. The receptionist was very rude to us as if we had just disturbed him during his nap.
So we go up to the room and there the nightmare begins. Or rather continue.
I leave you the photos to see for yourself the scam and the false advertising of this hotel.
Plus no towels in the bathroom.
The bed not made at the price of 200e per night.
So I immediately call the receptionist again to ask him to bring up towels and take the opportunity to show him the photos promised on booking and the reality.
The receptionist then hands me the towels with the same smirk and says to me again “what the problem?” 😊 » he clearly makes fun of us and tells us that if we are dissatisfied we will have to wait until tomorrow to speak with the manager.
The next day we went down to reception to speak to the manager but other customers were already complaining and shouting to ask for a refund.
This hotel should be ashamed of lying so much and especially of offering such a rate of 200 euros per night for this type of service.
It is unacceptable.

The front desk spoke great English, Lobby and on-site restaurant had AC, though restaurant is only open for breakfast, which is included til 9:30am. They also had an elevator.
The room had AC, though they use the power key cards to turn on room power ; the shower was strong and they had shower gel and shampoo too. Bed was clean and comfy, even the pillows. Very clean.
I had a small sweet balcony overlooking the marina a bay .
The front desk clerk went above and beyond when my taxi “no showed” on Sunday, and she recruited her husband to get me to the marina of our sailboat. Really incredible…I can’t say enough how unexpected and pleasant for a first timer.
It’s on tge edge of the old town, so you can walk to many places .
For 5 nights / 6 days, they didn't clean the room, didn't even throw out the trash,
or leave toilet paper....
Dirty room, dirty furnisher, Floor ....
There was an electric kettle but no tea or coffee in the room.
Bathroom has a window looking into the room.
Air conditioner was loud and smelled bad.
The contact for the TV was broken.
Slow internet service.
The view from the balcony was very poor looking in the dirty backyards.
Terrible service. They treated us in the most disrespectful way possible.
The breakfast was disappointing also.
This might be acceptable at a very cheap place, but is utterly inexcusable at a hotel that charges ca 200 EUR per night.
The rooms are very dirty, bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. At almost 100 euros per night, I would expect at least a decently cleaned room. Avoid this hotel!!!
Pets are not allowed in Hotel Lefkas according to booking and their policy but there was a dog right next to our room barking all day and night! This is just unacceptable! Also the curtains were very thin and light would get in our room at sunrise forcing us to wake up. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lefkada.
Location ideal.
Good value for money, not five star but we did not pay 5 star prices.
Would definately use again when in Lefkada.
