One day trip to Symi is all it takes to fall in love with this island. The architecture is simply amazing. So far I have never visited such a place. The first thing i felt as we approached the dock was love, joy and fullfilment. The joyful colored houses made me feel so good. The crystal clear waters of Greece were surrounding the area. The small paved streets are clean, silent and people were greeting us as we were passing by. The city center is very crowded and noisy, we chose to walk along the secondary streets. You must see this place.

This is as picturesque as all the internet photos say. We spent a lovely few hours here and the shops, scenery and views and really breathtaking. The 500 stairs up to the top were closed which was a little disappointing but it was very hot so it was probably a good thing.

We went on a cruise to Symi today and it is the most beautiful idyllic location! Beautiful colours, styles, houses and restaurants with wonderful backstreet boutiques! I’d recommend a day here! The restaurants specialise in fish and we are already looking at potential places to stay in here for a couple of days rather than just a 3 hour visit
