We stayed at hotel for 5 days with my husband and child. Our room had enough space and had everything needed. Wifi is free for the hotel guests. There was also a balcony with a clothes dryer, which is very useful as you can hang there your swimwear.
The furnishing and interior design of our room however was austere and very simple. Didn't look like a typical (as for Europe) room in a four star hotel. Although for us it didn't matter and we were pretty satisfied with our room. Overall hotel looked clean and new. Rooms were cleaned each day.
The food was really good. There were two breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Each time we had a great variety of dishes to choose from. There were also three types of vine, beer and various juices. Lounge bar near the pool offering several cocktails, alcoholic and soft drinks was open all the day.
Hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful. They really payed attention to details. E.g., since we arrived with a small child, there were electrical socket safety covers in our room plugged into all the sockets.
Location is great. Hotel has its own sand beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas. There were also two pools: one big for adults/bigger children and one small for toddlers.
Cons
There were not enough electric sockets in our room. There was only one socket near the bed, located from one side. It was very inconvenient since one of us had to place their phone on a table located opposite to the bed in order to charge it.
Air conditioning was weak. We had to set it to 16 degrees in order to get a normal temperature about 23-25 degrees.
Hotel safe is paid. It's confusing that in four star hotel and with all inclusive option you need to pay extra for such a basic thing. Also, the safe itself looked old and had just a simple key lock - no code or some other more advanced protection.

Location We chose the hotel because it was All Inclusive and a good location for Heraklion whilst at the same time being on the beach.
For us it was perfect for our 2 weeks stay, just relaxing, sitting down for our meals or drinks looking out at the blue sea and mountain ranges
It’s not a hotel if you expect lots of entertainment or things for the kids to do that you may expect from a large hotel geared up for large families but ideal for a 1 week stay.
Cleaning Staff Hotel is clean, be it cleaning your room or in the morning, evening, or various times of the day when you went in for food, they kept the hotel clean and a credit to the hotel.
Pool Bar Staff Always greeted you with a smile and looked after you throughout the day till the bar closed.
Dining Room Staff It’s not easy feeding your guests 3 times a day, the staff were hard working, very polite, nothing too much trouble, very observant and if they saw you waiting for a table made sure they cleaned a table for you to sit on straight away.
The only issue my wife had was on the first day because she did not know where everything was asked the lady who replenishes the food who was just rude, so we kept away from her for the rest of our stay.
Cooking Staff As others have said the food can seem to be repetitive so in my opinion, they need to promote their food selection by promoting different foods with a large sign every day saying what the “theme” is for that evening.
That way it would be talking point for the guests saying I had Mexican food tonight, I wonder what I am going to try tomorrow because you could not fault the quality of food and the service provided by the cooking staff.
Out and About Many a day after lunch we caught the No 1 Bus into Heraklion, stop off at a different stop and explore the area on foot.
Bus tickets are 1.1-euro one way or 2 euro on the bus obtainable from the nice corner shop opposite the bus stop. Don’t forget the No 1 does not come back it changes to a No 6. If you love walking it takes an hour to walk into Heraklion, then catch the bus back.
Entertainment The entertainment staff did their best but would recommend one day in the week the hotel brings in a professional entertainment act, magic, comedy etc.
Any Issues The impression that I got was that rooms were allocated and if you did not like the room given, tough. Don’t know if it was because the hotel seems to be geared up for TUI Europeans guests etc priority and less to the British Guests.
I had to challenge my room location; it was hard work, but once Marina agreed to move us, we did not have any other issues for the rest of our stay.
So, depending on if you want a pool/sea view or a quieter room, make sure you get it in writing at time of booking or before you arrive at the hotel.

Just returned from another 2week stay at Neptuno Beach. As always staff were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel spotless, great food and drinks cannot fault anything, staff go that extra mile to ensure your stay there is comfortable relaxed and fun. We stay in superior side sea view room and actually request room at side of kitchen and have never experienced noise early morning from staff as previously mentioned in some reviews and was asked regularly if they were disturbing us. Due to Covid restrictions the hotel environment is quieter than normal but wherever you holiday you would experience the same. The rooms are adequately sized (you don’t go on holiday to sit in your room all the time) therefore you don’t need large rooms. I have made some lovely friends with the staff there and am already looking to book again for next year. The beach boy was lovely constantly walking around ensuring the sunbed area was clean and tidy removing empty glasses and cleaning ashtrays as well as taking to clients , all the kitchen and restaurant staff were lovely and the bar staff would already have your drinks prepared if they saw you walking up to the bar. The location was excellent on a beach that you could walk both ways a great distance. And the hotel upgraded us to a very nice room overlooking the sea with a large balcony (pictured) and the overall condition of the hotel is good and the location beyond being on the sea is good as well, about a 3 mile drive from the venitian harbor. However, if you have been to an all inclusive in the Caribbean, Mexico, or etc, do not expect the all inclusive to be like that. The room prices were fairly reasonable for an all inclusive hotel, but simply stated the food was not good And we ate away from the hotel for dinner each evening because of it and the drinks were bottom shelf. Absolutely don’t choose this hotel based on the all inclusive but if you want a nice place on the beach and the prices are similar to non all inclusive it may be for you. it was hard for me to get over the all inclusive, so I rated this the lowest of the six hotels we stayed at during our 17 days in Crete

Me and my family stayed at Neptuno Hotel one week and we can only say good things about it. The location is near Heraklion, you can take a bus from across the street to go visit the city. The price for the bus is 2€ and you have one each 30 minutes. Near the hotel there are many agencies where you can rent a car to travel and discover the beauty of the Crete Island. It takes you 1 minute to arrive at the beach which is so clean and peaceful, a perfect place to relax with your family. There is also a pool at the hotel where during the day you can join a lot of fun activities , such as volleyball or aqua gym . We were also pleased with the variety of food which was extremely tasty. Even the picky eaters can always find what to eat so this won’t be a problem for anyone. Between meals you can have some snacks at the pool bar, a coffee or some delicious icecream. Besides, you can take some fresh drinks at the bar whenever you want to cool down. The staff was really nice and ready to help you at any time .The rooms were spacious. They were cleaned every day and we also got new towels every time. What we enjoyed the most was the evening schedule. We arrived at the hotel on a Friday night at 9pm and there was a white party. Andreas, the entertainer, wouldn’t let you sit down! :) Another activity was karaoke night which was really a nice experience because people were cheering so as to feel comfortable and have fun all together. There was also a night which was dedicated to the children and a traditional night with Greek live music and dancers. At the end we even joined the dancers and learned a few steps. All in all we enjoyed our holiday the most thanks to Neptuno Hotel.

Just back from 7 nights at this hotel with my friend. When booking there was no option for a twin room so we booked an inland double room and emailed the hotel to advise we would prefer twin beds, as we were not a ‘couple’. When we arrived they had acknowledged this request and showed us to our room which was a ground floor, modern, triple room with a terrace immediately overlooking the pool; we couldn’t have been more pleased! The hotel is right on the beach with plenty of loungers exclusively for those in the hotel (yes people put their towels on early in the morning but there were always enough); pay €10 for a beach towel which gets refunded after your stay. Beach was quite windy on most of the days and water a bit choppy but we welcomed the breeze as it was so hot; 33/34 most days. Drinks can be taken down to the beach from the pool bar. Hotel has a large pool, lots of outside seating, large pool bar and a good quality all inclusive buffet with lots of choice and variations, but not too much. Beer on draught and all drinks/cocktails were good. Hotel entertainment not really our thing but there was stuff for kids in the evening and different themed nights for adults. Really relaxed atmosphere, families sitting around playing cards/games, music playing and people chatting. Hotel was spotless with cleaner in every day and towel change, staff extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable speaking several languages and happy to provide information about local amenities, restaurants, places to visit and shopping etc. There is not much directly outside of the hotel, a couple of beach bars, some beach shops, a few small cafes and a supermarket. We travelled to Heraklion port to eat out a few times; lots of restaurants and shops here to choose from, is about 15 minutes away and roughly €12-17 in a taxi which reception can call for you. Great all round place, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. Thank you to all the staff there for helping us with anything we needed and genuinely making us feel so welcome.

Sorry for late review. My husband & I stayed here for 8 nights between April 27th to May 5th. The hotel isn't too big & has a fantastic beach which is lovely and sandy.
The hotel had only been open for a few days prior to our arrival. It was not busy & we found that lovely...no queues for drinks & plenty of room in the restaurant. We went for a relaxing break & that’s what we got. Our room 837 was a superior room with a sea view 1st floor, it was perfect. Lovely view of the pool & sea with easy access of everything. Bed was really comfy but the pillows were very lumpy, not nice at all. Good shower & plenty of hanging space for clothes. One English tv channel (standard) & a safe which you had to pay to use!
There were plenty of sunbeds, lots on the beach with only a few taken. Unfortunately it was very windy everyday, as the sand was blowing around we ended up by the pool. The beds here were not as comfortable as the beach one’s were.
Restaurant. The food here was limited, I understand that AI does get samey but the food was literally the same everyday lunch & dinner with only a few different options. What was there was fairly good & we never went hungry. The staff in the restaurant did not acknowledge you at all which we felt was a bit unusual, we had more interaction with the cleaning ladies who always greeted us with a good morning/hello.
The entertainment guy was very sociable, whether it was the start of the season, but evening entertainment was playing the same songs every night & that was it. To be fair it was cold in the evenings, because of the wind, we didn’t join in the fun for very long. We had a great view from our balcony, so we could see & listen from there.
There was literally nowhere to go outside the hotel with a couple of mini markets & a cafe. We took the bus to Heraklion town which was very busy & lots of shops. The bus was really cheap, 4.80 euros return for us both, with tickets purchased from the mini market opposite the hotel.
Just before our return the amount of guests had doubled & the restaurant got really full & queues for the bar were lengthy at times as there was only ever one member of staff. There was a good range of cocktails which were made freshly & the barman in the evening remembered what we usually had, he was chatty & made an effort.
In all our time there we never saw a manager, or anyone ask us if we were enjoying our stay, which has never happened to us before. We like to leave feedback & name drop staff that were really good but we couldn’t do that at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay & chilled out but would not return.

We spent a wonderful holiday as a family of four at Neptuno Beach in Crete.
Everything really fit - our expectations were more than exceeded. Top cleanliness, high and honest hospitality, culinary variety (with delicious local specialties) and pleasant entertainment program.

Due to the fact that there is a large free beach to the left of the hotel, you do not feel “squeezed” between several large hotels.

What an amazing hotel there is nothing bad to write about it. Me and my family stayed here for a wedding and holiday and this hotel made it the best it could be. All of the staff are so welcoming caring and friendly you feel at home the second you walk through the door. Service was outstanding no problems what do ever the staff work as hard as possible every day to make sure you don’t have to lift a finger during your stay. Evening entertainment is out of this world you will enjoy every evening with such a welcoming and fun community in the hotel. The rooms were lovely and comfortable always being cleaned with hard work and effort. There is a beach the second you walk out the hotel overall the hotel is so clean and beautiful you will feel so relaxed when you’re there. The food is always cooked to perfection and you will never leave unsatisfied. Special thanks to all the staff who made our stay the best it could have been we will definitely be revisiting neptuno beach hotel as soon as we can!

Were do i even start! We had the most amazing holiday at Neptuno! Location is perfect if you are after a truly relaxing beach holiday, sit by the pool all day or grab a spot on the beautiful beach! From the moment we got there we were treated like family. The staff worked so hard to make sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much for them, special shout out to Anna, you are amazing and we love you and the Raki! The food was delicious and plentiful and Dimitri always found us the perfect spot to eat! Andreas and Mini made up the animation team and worked hard all day making us laugh, keeping us fully entertained ... getting the hubby up to dance is not an easy task but they did it .. more than once! Andreas went out of his way to accomodate us and we can't thank him enough 🙏. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you both and you always have a place to come when (not if) you visit Liverpool ❤️ Our room was kept spotless by the always friendly and cheerful cleaning staff and the view from our balcony was beautiful, we watched the sun set behind the hills every evening, it was perfect. There probably alot more wonderful things I could say but I've only been back 2 days and I'm still processing! Thank you all for giving us the most amazing time! We will be back!!!
