Very hospitable staff, with a Hotel location "hard to beat"! , nearly all the city sites are within "walking distance".
The rooms are comfortable, clean, lovely bedding, with old fashion "high ceilings" that you would love at home.
The Staff manning the front desk were helpful, knowledgeable about Athens , and the service was 24 Hours.
The Breakfast given had a variety of hot and cold foods which was a delight to attend.

"Thank you for a great stay"!
Alan & Betty (Australia)
NOTE;
You do have to remember that the Hotel is situated near the centre of a busy, bustling city, approximately 10/15 minute walk from the Acropolis and 15/20 minutes from the Greek Parliament House..
There are a lot of coffee shops, restaurants in the local area and "2 Doors up" from the Hotel is a "24 Hour" restaurant that served "good value food", whether it is a sit down meal, or a takeaway pizza.
The Greek people were hospitable with good English language skills.
GREAT LOCATION !

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay, so we returned knowing there would be steps to navigate to the lobby but from there would be an elevator. Turns out, we had the room on the landing to the lobby, so we didn't have to haul our bags up too many flights. Knowing the street noise of Athens, we were worried that the traffic would interrupt our sleep. The thick windows do help, but you can still hear traffic. After awhile, it became white noise, but if you are a really light sleeper, this could be a problem. The drapes are long and thick but do not block out all of the light from outside, so wear a sleep mask if you need to. The room was large and comfortable with excellent sheets, pillows and towels. There is a wardrobe to hang clothes, and if you look at the bottom of the wardrobe, you'll find the fridge. The furniture is well appointed and not cookie-cutter, which lends a nice atmosphere to the hotel. Engineered wood floors that look hand carved are used throughout the hotel. The bathroom is large with double sinks but the lighting is terrible. Two lights on the mirror are purely decorative as there are no bulbs and the overhead light barely emits a glow, so that was disappointing. However, a large mirror is in the main bedroom. What we really liked was the fact that a heavy door closed off the main room from a short hall where the bathroom and outer door were located so we never heard noise from people entering or leaving the hotel. Breakfast is an interesting experience. While there is a lot offered, on most days the chafing dishes are not set up properly, as in the burners under the dishes are not on. It looks like they didn't have a pan of water underneath the food dishes, which is what makes a chafing dish work. So, if you get to breakfast and the hot food is just arriving, you get warm food, but otherwise, nope. The breakfast area has two rooms to dine in, and the food is tucked into a third room that is difficult to find if you glance quickly around. We saw one guest ask for help because she couldn't find the food. The breakfast room staff is efficient but not friendly. They should be trained to greet guests with a cheerful "kalimera" when they enter. As others have mentioned, the hotel is a quick walk to the metro, both Acropoli and Syngrou-Fix stations. You also have great restaurants in the neighborhood, and it's a short walk to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Plaka is also very close. Don't be put off by the graffiti on store fronts or grittier look to the area. It's safe and this hotel is a good choice.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in late May-early June. We booked a deluxe double but ended up in a family room, which could have comfortably slept at least four people. Everything was clean, there was an abundance of outlets, and the air conditioning worked efficiently.
The breakfast was abundant and tasty—my husband especially enjoyed the eggs, which aren’t as frequently seen in European hotels. We had excellent service from both the front desk and the breakfast staff.
The location could not be better. It is walking distance to the Acropolis and most other major sites, as well as many shops and restaurants.
The only downside to this hotel is that it would not be suitable for someone with mobility difficulties. While they do have an elevator, you have to climb stairs to enter the building, and then another small flight to access the elevator.

The reception staff were great and the hotel is in a great location and nice rooms. The major disappointment of the trip was breakfast the food was adequate when available. Most of the time there were hot items not available and hit and miss on both pastries and the only fruit they provided which was tinned peach. The worst part of the breakfast experience was the morgue atmosphere, the staff were miserable did not make you welcome or engage. My advice would be to remove the breakfast option; reduce the room rate and make the staff redundant they don't deserve a job. They have the ability to set the atmosphere and unfortunately they let the rest of you down.
On a general note we found the people of Athens working in hospitality friendly and helpful. Athens is a fantastic city and easy to negotiate.

The location was good and only about a 5 minute walk to the Acropolis. But, this is literally on the MAIN road, so if you get a front facing room, it's very noisy. Although the hotel were super accomodating in changing our room.
The hotel clearly is in need of modernising as it felt really dated, but the rooms were beautifully clean!
Breakfast was just about ok, but the room it was served in felt devoid of any joy and felt like we were eating in the basement.
Overall a good stay at a reasonable price.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this quaint property! The room and bed we had was perfect and was upgraded with no trouble! The location was perfect as you are only a few blocks from the Acropolis, great restaurants, shopping, and the easy to navigate Metro in case you wanted to go further for anything! Additionally, I must commend the staff at the hotel. Donara and the team really were so helpful with local recommendations, the breakfast bar, to setting up PCR tests. Everyone we met seemed to be doing their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Knowing what we know now - we would have stayed here more nights on the front end of our trip! When we are back in Athens - we will be staying here!

Acropolis museum boutique hotel that has a feel like classic hotel from old movies, but smaller rooms.
It is located on a busy road so would recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. When the window is open, the sound is very loud. It is tolerable with the windows closed. The room was clean. The wardrobe can hold one suitcase. The bathroom was small but all necessary amenities were provided. They even provided small face cloths (washcloths) which was lovely. The beds were comfortable.
Breakfast was a breakfast bar. Every day there was toast, cereal, yogurt and hot items: croissants, spanakopita, sausage and eggs. Then the other items varied from day to day. I especially enjoyed being able to make fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast every morning. The staff in the breakfast area were very kind and cheerful. The person at the front desk at night was also friendly. The hotel location was convenient to Hadrian gate, the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. We walked around at night and felt safe

We pre booked to stay here in central Athens for the location alone as it's our first time in Greece, but were pleasantly surprised by how luxurious and spacious the rooms are. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly. We have been given lots of wonderful tips for travelling the metro, ferries to the islands and sight seeing. There are also great options for the breakfast buffet with a hot breakfast made to order and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything is impeccably clean and comfortable. We will definitely be staying again!

I think they are living on past glory here. For the price we paid, we were expecting a luxury boutique hotel. The pictures on the website are not representative of what you get. I think the cover picture of the hotel must be at least 10-15 years old. We also way over paid. We booked the hotel directly through their website in May. When we arrived in July, I saw the rates were now less than 1/2 of what I paid (still probably overpriced). We booked a Deluxe Double room and when we checked in, the room did not look at all like the pictures. We asked the registration person about it and they offered an upgraded room (presumably because he saw how much we overpaid). The upgraded room was nicer in some respects (it was bigger), but again, for the price you would expect more attention to details. The A/C units were underpowered for the room. One remote was missing a back cover. The other A/C remote was missing a battery (we took one from the TV remote so that we could operate the A/C). The door to the bathroom was much shorter than a standard door and as a tall person, I kept hitting my head on the frame. The showerhead holder was almost ready to crack off and you had to always hold it in your hand because it wouldn't stay in an appropriate position. We got up early to go on a tour, so we were at breakfast first thing in the morning. Even first thing in the morning, the eggs were too cold to be edible and the selection of the breakfast items was minimal. We also noticed that they stores some foods (like cereals), just in a big open bowl with only a paper napkin covering them for the night. It did not look like they paid attention to proper food handling practices. The red stair carpet that greeted you when you entered the hotel was very dirty. This place really needs an update.

It was not all bad. The staff was very friendly and if you are looking for a convenient location to the Acropolis, this certainly was.

I don't think the hotel was in the best of neighborhoods though. There was a sex shop on either side of it less than a block away. The area was certainly not that nice (lots of graffiti, closed stores, etc).

In summary, just way below expectations and quite overpriced.

The only positive about this hotel is the location. The rooms I stayed in were tired and not everything worked. This included a toilet that wasn't flushing properly and took 2 days to rectify. In the meantime we had to use the hotel lobby toilet for number 2's. A radiator that never came on in the room on our second stay. It was on the night a sever weather warning had been sent out by the Authorities for snow. Invariable the sink plugs didn't work, so while my husband shaved he had to leave the tap running and the showers in both our rooms where less than adequate. My husband is a tall, broad man and had difficulty being able to move in the showers. It says in the information the hotel was refurbished in 2007, its time to do it again! The breakfast is alright if you get there at the right time, if you arrive after a busy period nothing gets replenished so you miss out. The toaster is also a low quality domestic 2 slice toaster, not what is needed in a hotel of this size. Very disappointed.
