The staff is very friendly, both at the reception as well as breakfast and cleaning. It is rather noisey/the walls are rather thin but it didn’t bother us. The room we were in was rather small (‘Parisian small’ we would call it) with a ‘French bed’ and a view on a blind wall. If you want a room with a view, there are dozens of other hotels in a higher price range :-) Upside: you don’t have to bother the room getting too warm by the sun or having no privacy at all. The mattress is fine and the pillows are firm enough. There was only one closet with only hangers though. An advice would be to provide more closet space with shelves. The bathroom is remodeled and clean, but really tiny, the tiniest shower I’ve ever seen. You can’t hang the shower head on a higher place in order to stand underneath it, which isn’t that handy. But the shower itself is warm and has a firm water jet - for me the most important feature. Breakfast is sober (hey, what do you expect for this price?!) but fulfilling. There is yoghurt, feta, vegetables, fruit, bread, butter and jelly as well as cereals and milk.

I have read comments about the unsafe area. There are homeless persons across the hotel, which might give you an uncomfortable feeling, but we actually didn’t feel unsafe. Omonia itself seemed pretty up going itself, with regard to the many restaurants, bars, organic shops and coffee shops in the area. And there are two bakeries close by, ‘Bakery and Coffee’ (yummy and not that expensive) located in front of you when you leave the hotel towards Omonoia Square and one other when you turn left (‘Apollonion’ - didn’t try them).

Cute hotel within walking distance to the city's highlights. Near Omonia Square, easily access the metro or tour buses within seconds from the front door.

Clean rooms and good breakfast. If you're looking for a business trip or sightseeing, it's a great hotel.

Scary neighborhood, the hotel is ok to sleep and expect zero comfort. That is all I expected to be honest. Low cost and somewhere safe to sleep. This is what you get. Select room 302 is the largest on this hotel. Receptionist extremely polite, friendly and professionals. The sale with waiters , bfast is close to trash levels same as coffee sucks.

Firstly, the location is very useful and is literally a 1 minute walk from Omonia Square which is full of transport links and authentic places to eat.

However, the area directly outside the hotel is extremely run-down and full of shifty-looking characters, particularly at night; perhaps this is why keys must be handed in each time you leave. Linked to this, if you have a room facing the front of the hotel then you are likely to hear all sorts of strange noises through the night.

The reception staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, but the room itself was cramped and basic - no fridge and little in the way of extras. Using the bathroom was the major low point as the shower had no door and so flooded with each use. The WiFi was very good and free.

Otherwise, the room was tidied each day and was clean. If you are putting price above anything else then Hotel Cosmopolit could be a good fit; in hindsight I would have paid more for a better place.

Don’t stay here we came here for cheap few nights away to see the sights boy did we see sights just not of the ruins as expected. Says good for solo travellers but wouldn’t feel safe staying here alone where was people taking drugs outside homeless everywhere and made both me and my teenage daughter uncomfortable. The room was tiny and shower had to be held till use like hosing down more than showering. Bedding wasn’t the cleanest but under sheet was ok so didn’t bother to report if housekeeping was just a change of towels no bed made or anywhere to rubbish in room. Cable tv was a waste of time as no channels to watch and fridge in room was waste as when you went out the electricity was off. Only good thing I liked was the cheap ticket for the tour bus won’t be staying again

The whole hotel smelled awful, kinda like people had smokes cigarettes there for years. Room was tiny and felt nasty. The door frame was broken, toilets flushing button was broken, and the shower rack looked really musty. Also the area was really sketchy and felt unsafe. Stayed there for one night and had to change hotel after that.

I stayed for one week in a double room. The room was quiet, bed and pillows were comfortable. Wardrobe with a few hangers. Shower room was a bit small but clean and the shower was warm and powerful. The hotel is a minute walk to the centre square and subway station. Great location for the traveller and tourist. All hotel staff were chatty and very helpful.

This is a budget hotel so don’t expect anything fancy or massive rooms! It’s clean, comfortable, very helpful staff (particularly the smily guy with the glasses). Fantastic location only a minute’s walk from Omonoia Square. I was a little wary after reading the reviews about it being an unsafe environment but I didn’t encounter any issues. Great central location for exploring Athens and good value. Ideal for solo travel.

The hotel is clean, cheap and breakfast is including. The feta cheese on breckfast was really good. I like it. We are slept in really small room with small bathroom, AC and wifi. Our view from window is bad to the another office building (look the photo). Is really good choise for people with low budged.

We weren't planning on staying in this hotel, but the hotel we wanted to stay at was horrible, so we decided to go and ask if Cosmopolit has a free triple room. They didn't have it at that moment, but they gave us 2 rooms instead of one with the same price.

Rooms are super modern and stylish, they clean rooms everyday and bring clean towels, and they are so soft! The same goes for bed sheets, they are very soft and nice. Staff was really helpful, helped with all the questions and wanted us to be happy.

It is located at the Omonia square, metro is like 2 mins away. People say it isn't safe place, but if you are careful it is okay. All the tourist attractions are near, food market and flea market are very close, you only need to walk 5-10 mins. Grocery store and Hondos Centre (mall) are next to the hotel.

Yes, the wifi was a bit bad, but they fixed that problem now and it always works next to the reception and in the hallways anyway.

Breakfast was simple, but good. If you want a place that is non-smoking then you should probably try to find something else, because people are allowed to smoke pretty much everywhere. It is the same way in the whole city, people smoke in cafes and restaurants as well.

If I ever go back to Athens, I'll most probably stay there again, staff and the whole hotel is super nice and gave us a positive feeling! :)
