It’s a simple, clean and tidy hotel with a great location near different shops and restaurants. The hotel room is nice with a beautiful view on the 6th floor.

The reception looks really nice and the different receptionists were all nice and friendly also good english

Only thing would be better to change is the small elevator, we were 2 people with our luggage was hard to fit in

My favorite thing about this hotel is their beds. Very comfortable and clean. Rooms are specious as opposed to the bathrooms which are ridiculously small. The staff is very accommodating. Some of them speak good English/Russian which was very helpful. The neighborhood isn't the safest, I wouldn't recommend being outside late at night.

A perfectly good 3 Star hotel within 25 mins walking distance of the vast majority of ancient sites. Staff were excellent - polite, efficient and couldn't do enough for us.
Food at Breakfast and Evening meal was plentiful and of a good standard. Coffee was superb.

Unfortunately our flight was delayed and we had to cancel our original hotel. Booking last minute the same day Achillion Hotel Apartments seemed to be the best option for our family of 5.
Wow! What can I say… even though you are just a few minutes from the main sites the actual street feels very unsafe! Full of graffiti and homeless people sleeping right in from of the gated entrance. The entrance to the apartments is off to the side, it is gated by a chain link fence besides the gated doors. There was a huge leak that was right on the entrance.
Once you go inside, you have to go up the stairs that have no light bulbs.. it was pitch black! There are electrical wires exposed everywhere, holes on the walls, the elevator chute is open and covered by wood.
The apartment itself, was dirty with marks all over the walls. No wifi as stated, no safe, we had a 2 bedroom and it was actually a 1 bedroom and sofa bed, the city view window is shuttered down, I’m assuming for safety reasons,
We spent that night in the hotel as our flight was the next morning at 6 am and we had no other options after reaching out to several hotels in the area..
This is not a picky American tourist review, my family and I are very used to traveling all over Europe and are very aware that standards are sometimes different. BEWARE!

Be prepared!
Staff are lovely but that alone doesn't make a good stay.
Do not plan to be out in the evening at all. Even at 6pm the dangers of being so close to the City centre are apparent. Do take your own water and tea/ coffee making supplies. Do stock up on snacks if yr teens need them after a day exploring - you can't get them at the hotel. Do buy food from the plentiful delis in Omonia Square during the day if don't plan to eat with the schools at the buffet in the evenings- the bar food is not available. If you do use the buffet, choose the cold option as the hot is cold anyway. Plan yr showers for really early or very late as demand outstrips capacity.
But the staff are lovely, although they can't provide any of the above.
Go prepared to enjoy the sights during the day and enjoy a bar drink in the evening. Time your drink well and you can avoid or listen to the evening students debrief of the day. Staff are knowledgeable about the area and the sights.

Overprized. Price is just like it is a 4 star hotel. Many 3 star hozels are better and more modern. Old furniture and floor. Some roođs have hprrible view. Small but clean. Without tea and coffee maker. Simple and good safe box, clean hotel. Good breakfast. Very bad wi-fi even late by night. Ok location. I wouldn't recommend this hotel though the staff is profeasional and willing to help. The door even isn't totally closed, you can see and hear through it

Very bad experience. We stayed at the hotel! We spent Three days and two night without hot water. We took shower with Very COLD WATER. Terrible. We asked for a refund for the inconvenience, they said they will let us know and then disappeared.
I wrote them too they never answered. Moreover the area is very dangerous at night full with homeless and drank people. Wi-Fi isn't working and the air conditioning is directly on your bed.
Don't stay here!

We checked into this hotel late on arrival in Greece. We organized an airport pick up which was late and disorganized. We then arrived in the hotel to find the AC was not working and the room was boiling hot. We decided to try and sleep but then turned the lights on to try and have another look at the air conditioning to find lots of beetles crawling all over the bed inside the sheets.
Manager would not refund and simple said it was bad luck! They offered to change room but that also had poorly working AC. Has to check out at 1am and find somewhere else to stay!

Bad neighborhood with drug addicts under the balcony. No mirror in the bathroom, nowhere to hang the towels, no toilet brush. Toilet paper standing on the garbage basket. Food better to skip The only good thing with the hotel is that it is close to Omonia square and very kind personel

I spent there 3 days (2 nights) in January 2022. It was my first time in Athens and I liked it. Decent room, affordable price, outgoing staff and nice view from the 5th floor. 300m from Omonia square (and metro), and also within walking distance of beautiful Monastiraki square and Acropolis. Next time I am in Athens I will return to Achillion.
