This was my first visit to Athens. I wanted to be in heart of the city so I could explore the area. The Plaka district turned our to be great. I even booked a room with a view of the Acropolis. I was not dissapointed. All the staff were very helpful. The breakfast for a three star hotel was more than I expected. Definitely recommend this hotel for people who like to explore when in a city.

The Plaka hotel is situated close to many major attractions and is also in a very lively shopping and restaurant district. The subway was a 5 minute walk away. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional and helpful and the room we had was clean, comfortable and spacious with an excellent bathroom and shower. The breakfast at the hotel was great and basically tided us over until dinner on most sight seeing filled days. The picture postcard view from the rooftop bar/restaurant has to be seen to be believed and made for a fabulous ending for most of our stay there. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

We stayed here for 4 nights and had an adjoining room for our son. The hotel is situated in the Plaka area and is ideally situated to reach all the sites of Athens. The staff are welcoming and are always available for advice. The rooms and bathroom are fairly small but are cleaned daily. We visited tge rooftop bar a few times and ate there once and we would recommend a visit. The Acropolis can be seen clearly from the rooftop and I doubt you can get a much better view. Breakfast can be busy around 8,30/9.00 so ve prepared for a short wait for a table. The breakfast is fresh and plentiful. I would recommend this hotel for your visit.

Spent 2 nights here in April. Very clean and comfortable room with a small balcony. Friendly staff. Very close to Monastiraki train station where we arrived from by direct train from the airport. Also got the surburban train from here direct to Piraeus. Lovely lady greeted us at breakfast to offer each morning. Breakfast was plentiful with mostly continental style and some hot food. There was a great roof top restaurant at the top in the evenings that had amazing views of the Acropolis. The hotel was a little noisy late at night with music from musicians at the nearby church area. Would recommend this hotel as a convenient place in the centre of Plaka with all major historical sight within walking distance.

We were very pleased with everything in the hotel, especially considering it was a 3 star. We had a nice Acropolis view room, and the view was great, although you can't have a balcony and a view. Check in was great, given two keys without having to ask and there are two lifts to the room (although only one goes to the top floor roof garden/bar). One of the first rooms we've stayed in for a while that had 2 suitcase racks: amazing how many hotels think a couple will only have one suitcase! At breakfast times there can be a wait for the lifts, but normally they are fine. Big Acropolis view window opened wide, and had good blackout curtains for night time. Wide range of food at breakfast with many Greek surprises to add to the standards. Location is wonderful, and 5 mins from Monastiriki square, which is centre of Athens metro system with direct links to Airport and Piraeus port. Staff came round at breakfast to ensure all was well, and were always on hand at reception. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance, and plenty of cabs if you want to go a bit further. There are 3 supermarkets (one Organic) for 'extras' within 30 yards. Very pleased with everything about the hotel.

Great location, so close to everything. Room fine, very comfy bed and towels changed daily. Breakfast was good, but can get very busy so be prepared to wait for a table if you go down a bit later. First class service at the rooftop bar which we visited at the end of every busy day. Although this hotel is so central, we didn’t get bothered with noise, just the church bells which were actually lovely to wake up with. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights. This hotel was in a perfect location, close to Monastiraki station and square, walking distance to Acropolis and lots of historical attractions. We bought the €30 euro ticket which was great value. The rooms were comfortable but there was no mirror, only a mirror in the bathroom which was odd as made it difficult to dry hair etc. The breakfast was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. The view was amazing and I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderfully convenient, comfortable and competitively priced hotel in central Athens with really welcoming and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were fantastic with plenty of choice including hot options, traditional Greek salads, sweets and pastries as well as cereals, fruit, yoghurt, Greek honey, cold meats, cheese etc. Views to the Acropolis were stunning from the roof bar / restaurant area. Staff kindly let us return the following week to leave our luggage for a few hours at the end of our holiday, before flying home. NB Our first night was very disturbed by noise from the main street below, and light from the illuminated sign right outside (maybe the window didn't properly close as the double glazing should have reduced the noise impact). On mentioning this we were immediately offered a room overlooking the much quieter side street and our remaining nights were undisturbed (hence still giving 5 stars as the problem was quickly addressed).

The rooms at this hotel are nice for the price and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is near tourist hotspots like the Acropolis, Plaka and Monastiraki areas and despite this our room was quite quiet. The room had a large TV, a small closet, a work station, mini fridge, tea/coffee station and had good WiFi. The lighting was good and not too bright and the window let in a lot of natural daylight during the day. We wish the balcony had a couple of chairs on it because it is a nice area but the rooftop bar makes up for what the room balcony lacks. The bathroom had great water pressure and I felt this was one of the best showers I had during my time in Greece. The shampoo, shower gel and handsoap all smelled nice and had a touch of sea salt during our stay. The towels were clean and soft. We felt the shower could use improvement as it is a little small, could use better cleaning and it leaked water through the doors so we had to put a towel down to help with the water. The rooftop bar is fantastic and they had a good variety of well made cocktails and some non-alcoholic options. It is absolutely worth checking out and is open 24/7 but the bar is open from 6 pm to midnight. They had some good options too for food but we felt you would pay a premium here for the drinks and food compared to other restaurants in the area. We thought the view justified it as it gives one of the best views of the Acropolis and we enjoyed a very nice sunset here as well. The hotel has two elevators and the smaller one takes you to the rooftop bar but you can't pick which one you hail when you press the buttons because they are linked. We did appreciate having the larger elevator to take our family up to our room as we were over for the weight limit for the smaller elevator. The breakfast was decent and had enough variety. There were breakfast staples like bread, cereals, sausages, scrambled eggs and hard-boiled eggs. They also had a couple of salads, vegetables, fruit slices and some preserved fruits. They had a good selection of Greek breakfast items like yoghurt, honey, cheese and spinach pies and some desserts. The beverage station included a coffee making machine, juice and water. The staff we interacted with were welcoming and efficient. We paid the city tax on arrival and were quickly handed out room keys. At breakfast a lady came to check in on us and other guests to ask us about our stay and spoke to other guests in other languages. The hotel has a laundry service and baggage storage and had we stayed longer here we would consider trying these out. This was a good stay in Athens and we were happy with the price in March. We enjoyed being surrounded but cafes, restaurants and shops and being very close to the major sights of Athens. There are also quite a few convenience and grocerg stores nearby but many closed around 9 pm during our stay. The Monastiraki metro station is very close too and it takes about an hour to get here from the airport. You can keep using metro to get around the area too but we found it quite walkable for the activities we wanted to do.
