Our family stayed in three rooms on the sixth floor of the Plaka hotel. A peaceful location in the middle of EVERYTHING - an easy walk to Syntagma or Monastiraki or the Acropolis. Close enough to great shopping and restaurants nearby, but the hotel feels far enough away that you can get some quiet sleep. The staff was wonderful - from the front desk personnel, to the woman supervising the breakfast buffet, to housekeeping, to the bar staff upstairs on the rooftop. They were all very friendly and warm, and helped us out in perfect English. The front desk helped arrange a terrific driver for us to the airport at the end of our stay. The rooms were very comfortable. They're not huge rooms, but they were plenty good for us. A few of the walls are a little thin, so you can hear your neighbors if they're loud. And one of the two elevators is small. But the best part of the hotel is the rooftop bar. DO NOT MISS IT. The views from it are incredible. You owe it to yourself to take a little time to relax up there with a drink and admire the view.

We stayed at the Plaka Hotel for seven nights. We like to be centrally located, so we can walk to restaurants, bars and historic sites and this was perfectly located! The linens were clean and soft. The bathroom and bedroom were clean and comfortable. Our stay was Dec 29- into Jan, so we used the heating overnight. It had clear instructions and worked well. We were not on the Acropolis side of the building, but we had a beautiful view of the town from our 3rd floor window. The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast. I expected a small offering of pastries and coffee, but it was actually a buffet with seasonal fruits, pastries, breads, fresh juice, olives, tomatoes, sliced meats, cheese and more! The hot items changed daily to include beans, scrambled eggs, bacon, and two coffee machines for espresso or filtered coffee. All guests were required to wear masks and gloves at the buffet. Staff were friendly and helpful! Staff greeted us from the desk, in the hallways, at breakfast.

Great location, very close to Monastiraki underground station. Right in the centre of Plaka with lots of nearby bars, restaurants and shops. Hotel very clean and staff extremely friendly and professional. Covid measures were strictly adhered to and monitored by staff which was reassuring. Amazing views from the rooftop bar over the Acropolis.

We stayed here for our first trip in Athens, Greece. Excellent location! Walkable distance EVERYWHERE. The staff was amazing as well. Amazing rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis and great drinks. They arranged a 4:30am airport transfer for us per our request and our taxi was on time. They also made sure we had breakfast so they prepared a meal for us before our departure. Laundry was cheap too!
