We chose this modern sleek hotel for 4 nights prior to a cruise after searching the internet for accommodation that would tick all our boxes and it certainly did. We opted for bed & breakfast in a Lycabettus Hill hotel view on the 4th floor in room 403 and from the moment we arrived (by courtesy taxi included in our room rate from Athens airport) to when we left we could not fault a thing. Staff were polite, courteous, friendly and so helpful. Our corner room was certainly spacious enough for 2 of us with windows looking out both onto the street and the Hill in the distance. Some traffic noise could be heard at night but this didn't bother us, it was actually expected in such a bustling city. The bed was so comfy and there with plenty of storage in the wardrobe, a free safe, mini bar with complimentary juice & water (replenished daily), an open plan type rainfall shower with adjoining basin and an enclosed toilet cubicle. The room was stylish & well equipped with sockets, spotless throughout (as was the whole hotel) and towels, toiletries etc replaced daily when required. Now for the cherry on the top, the amazing rooftop bar & restaurant where we had daily breakfast and evening drinks - the view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill was stunning, especially when lit up at night. The choice at breakfast was extensive with cereals, juice, hot drinks, fruit, hot & cold items and a variety of breads, jams etc, enough to please the fussiest of eaters. Staff were constantly on hand to offer tea, coffee, juice etc and quickly clearing & cleaning tables with a smile. The proximity to Plaka, Monastiraki, Makrygianni, Thissio, Syntagma Square and other historic neighbourhoods are all within walking distance and as we are "walkers" anyway we trekked for miles further afield too. Athens is a fantastic city with so much to see & do and the people are so friendly, the food is fantastic and the historic & ancient buildings and monuments simply breathtaking. Finally when we returned from our cruise the hotel even stored our luggage for free whilst we spent another day exploring this wonderful city, such great customer service! The Niche Hotel Athens goes above & beyond and I would not hesitate in recommending this brilliant accommodation which deserves its 5 star review :)

Just returned home from a 4 night stay at this lovely hotel.
Everything was wonderful from our arrival to the time we left. Everyone at the hotel from the guys on reception, girls at breakfast and maids was friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is new, modern and very clean in the most perfect location to see the tourist attractions of Athens.
Our room on the 6th floor was beautiful. It had a very comfortable bed and a shower that I wanted to take home- a huge walk in type with a rainfall shower and an additional handheld attachment. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were replenished as necessary. Slippers and a robe were supplied and there were 2 bottles of water and 2 bottles of soda in the fridge for us free of charge on arrival.
We had a coffee machine with 4 capsules and a kettle for making tea. The hairdryer was a good one and there were plenty of sockets around the room for charging our mobiles etc.

Because of COVID breakfast wasn’t the usual buffet. We ordered each night on a card and hung it outside our room and our breakfast was served to us. It was well organised and delicious.
WiFi within the hotel and rooms was quick and extremely reliable.
The rooftop terrace and bar had wonderful views of the Acropolis and Athens. We couldn’t have picked a nicer place to stay and would gladly return here if/when we return to this lovely city.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel.
Lesley and Barry.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Niche Hotel. I can't say enough about the team at this hotel. The front desk team was so helpful throughout our stay and even went above and beyond to help us arrange a required covid test to return to the U.S. They readily provided directions throughout the stay and always did so with a smile. The breakfast buffet everyday was nicely presented and plentiful and the team working the buffet were so nice and friendly. Of particular mention was a breakfast server named Alex. Every day he greeted us with a friendly smile and would ask us about our stay and chat with us about our plans for that day along with some of his own recommendations. We learned he is getting his Masters in Business with an emphasis in tourism and based on his treatment of us during our stay we know he will be perfect in that field. What a class act!!! He epitomizes superb customer service and really stood out in a positive way! Other employees asked us throughout our stay if we needed anything and how we were enjoying our time at Niche. They seemed to genuinely care and wanted to make sure our expectations were met. A few times we needed things brought to the room (extra towels and things like that) and the team was quick to respond. The location is superb and the view from the rooftop (where breakfast is served) offers an excellent view of the Acropolis. We also used Key Tours which is within two blocks walking distance of the hotel which was very convenient for a day trip out to Delphi. We walked to everything from the hotel location and only needed the subway (just a few blocks away) for a trip over to the Archeology Museum (which was just 2 or 3 stops away) and then we used it for transport to the airport our last day. You can't go wrong with this hotel, its location, or team - so glad we booked here!!!

We spent three nights in this hotel, and it was a very good choice in the end. The hotel was very clean, the installations seem new or recently refurbished, the COVID-secure regulations seem to be well regulated and managed. The design of the hotel and rooms are very nice, modern, and stylish. The location is very good - near Plaka, however a bit far away from the crowded areas. It is located on a busy road, though, however, this doesn't affect the views or the noises coming into the room (good soundproof windows). The view of the acropolis from the terrace is beautiful! Unfortunately, due to the reduced number of visitors and the current restrictions, the terrace/bar wasn't very lively and closed early in the night. We just found it unflexible when we approached there 20 minutes before closure and were not allowed to get one small drink. The staff in general was friendly and helpful, though. The breakfast was good but, due to coronavirus restrictions, it was served on the table on the ground floor. I would just recommend it to be on the terrace with a nicer view and an actually larger space to reinforce social distancing.

In sum, despite one or two minor issues, this is an excellent hotel for a short stay in Athens.

I booked the Niche Hotel for a 1 night work trip to Athens, and I couldn't have asked for nicer accomodation.

Room
My room was a corner room facing the Parthenon on level 3. It was a clean and modern room, beautiful open plan bathroom with waterfall shower and soft furnishings. Very comfy bed. The only thing lacking was tea facilities and fridge, insted they had a coffee machine for espressos, but thats not a bit flaw.

Restaurant
We had some lovely Greek tapas food at the Stork Restaurant on the roof top of the hotel. The balcony of the restuaurant overlooked the Parthenon aswell, so it was a beautiful spot for wining and dining.

Breakfast
The breakfast was good, however the breakfast room itself is very small and would be better located in the restaurant upstairs. There was a queue waiting, so I felt rushed and getting to the food was a bit of a faff, as it was so small, but their was a good choice of food (hot and cold).

Location
The hotel is based a short walk from the Parthenon and other attractions, and a 45 minute drive from the nearest hotel.

General
Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the Niche Hotel and wish I'd been able to stay longer. But I would recommend this hotel.

When researching places to stay in Athens Niche hotel got countless positive reviews. We decided to stay here with family for 8 days to celebrate my recent graduation from college. A majority of our stay was great and I had no complaints everything is wonderful, from the food, the views of the acropolis and the area which the hotel is located. However on my 5th night at Niche is where things took a turn after coming back from the beach one evening i was laying down on my bed in room 304 and felt something crawling on me, after I get up from the bed I see 3 large bedbugs crawling around the bed I instantly get up and go to the front desk. Someone did eventually help get all my stuff out of that room and moved me to a different room after lifting up the bed and seeing bedbugs crawling in the crevasses of the mattress. I was very disappointed that management didn’t find time to speak to me about the situation only the workers in the hotel. The manager said he would call me and never did. It took a very long time to hear about updates concerning a refund and how our clothes and suitcases would be sanitized. It took a very long time for that process to unfold and i was left waiting in limbo. Ultimately i did get a refund and my clothes and suitcase was high temperature washed but I didn’t get my clothes until the very last night of my trip. I didn’t like how the hotel handled its communication with me and was very turned off about it. I most likely will stay at a different hotel when im in Athens next time.

I chose Niche hotel for the refreshing aesthetic + rooftop bar and they did not disappoint! The roof top bar is really gorgeous. It made me so happy to wake up and eat breakfast there! The breakfast was also delicious and had many options.

The room is very cute: love how it has a wooden tone which makes everything looks warm and cozy.

The staff are so friendly! They make you feel so special, because they recognize you and remember your needs. You just know that they will try their best to make the stay a memorable experience.

I also really like how there are some historical relics under the hotel, which you can see through glasses embedded into the ground.

The location allows you to walk everywhere!

I would definitely come back to stay at Niche Hotel every time I come to Athens!

When visiting Athens as a tourist, you want to see the Acropolis. At the rooftop of the Niche Hotel you have a perfect view. Breakfast is rich but you can also have a late-night glass of wine here. Splendid!
Our room was not too big, and offered little space for suitcases (and no great view) but was a good value all in all.
The hotel is near not only to the Acropolis but also to the pitoresque Plaka-quarter.
Stuff was very nice but some of them don't know how to wear a face mask - while guests had to but gloves when going for breakfast...

I planned to stay at Niche hotel for two nights, but my flight to Athens was cancelled so I arrived a day later. The hotel refused to reimburse me for any part of the lost night. I can understand the policy to an extent given the late notice, but I was shocked that they made no effort to provide us with any form of compensation. In fact, the staff was rather unfriendly. When I asked if there was anything they could do, front desk staff said they would send wine up to the room, which never arrived. In addition, the night we were there, there was a wedding on the rooftop with incredibly loud music going until midnight which I could hear on my floor. Ultimately, the location in Athens is great and the rooms are nice, but definitely not worth the poor customer service.

I had a trip planned for August, but won’t be going because of Covid-19 and Greece’s travel advisories against tourism. The hotel has refused to refund even a portion of my reservation cost, which was significant. Based on their inflexibility, I would suggest booking anywhere else before choosing this hotel. Due to the unpredictability of travel for the foreseeable future, save yourself the expense and headache and book somewhere with a more reasonable cancellation policy.
