The boutique 4 star hotel in the heart of Athens that redefines the meaning of the Athenian hospitality. “Niche” means comfort, rejuvenation and security in accommodation. An accommodation with background one of the biggest stations in Greek culture; Acropolis. Within 3 minutes by foot, the Acropolis Museum is a must-see cultural destination. Enjoy your luxurious stay in a room or suite, the design of which was made to harmonize the contemporary element with the Greek heritage. That’s why recycling materials were mainly used in the reconstruction of the building. Sleep on premium Coco-Mat mattresses made from natural raw materials. These high-quality bed systems will provide support to every part of your body after a day full of walking in Monastiraki and Plaka. When you wake up, Greek breakfast will surprise you with its unique tastes! Choose amongst 33 rooms & 4 suites and... have a niche stay!

Niche Hotel Athens stands out for its modern and stylish ambiance, often commended for its clean, well-appointed rooms and particularly comfortable beds. The hotel's staff earns rave reviews for their exceptional service, enhancing the dining experiences.
While its location near the Acropolis is a draw for many travelers, opinions on the hotel's value are divided, with some concerns about noise and a lack of amenities. The rooftop restaurant's views are a highlight, though noise remains a recurring issue among reviews.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2023. It is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk to the Acropolis & Acropolis Museum. A very safe area and many nice restaurants and shops nearby within 10 min walking distance. The hotel is fairly new with tasteful modern decor. As you enter the lobby you will see under a glass floor what they believe to be the remains of one of the ancient city walls. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Rooms were clean, modern and had very comfortable beds and linens. I think Coco Mat brand. The roof top Acropolis view restaurant was EXCELLENT. They serve a deliciousl buffet breakfast there in the morning but don't miss having dinner there too. It was actually one of the best dinners we had in our month long vacation in Greece. The hotel also arranged for a private tour guide (Despina) for us who took us for 4 hours to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. Despina was excellent and we learned so much from her. The only drawback I would say is that there is no parking at the hotel - NONE. There is nowhere you can even pull up to unload the luggage so after circling several times we had to pull up Greek-style onto the sidewalk to unload. There is a car park a few blocks away towards the Acropolis which had a daily rate where we left the car. This is likely how it is at most places in Athens though so beware if you are bringing a car with you! Overall, Niche was an excellent hotel in a great location.

We chose this modern sleek hotel for 4 nights prior to a cruise after searching the internet for accommodation that would tick all our boxes and it certainly did. We opted for bed & breakfast in a Lycabettus Hill hotel view on the 4th floor in room 403 and from the moment we arrived (by courtesy taxi included in our room rate from Athens airport) to when we left we could not fault a thing. Staff were polite, courteous, friendly and so helpful. Our corner room was certainly spacious enough for 2 of us with windows looking out both onto the street and the Hill in the distance. Some traffic noise could be heard at night but this didn't bother us, it was actually expected in such a bustling city. The bed was so comfy and there with plenty of storage in the wardrobe, a free safe, mini bar with complimentary juice & water (replenished daily), an open plan type rainfall shower with adjoining basin and an enclosed toilet cubicle. The room was stylish & well equipped with sockets, spotless throughout (as was the whole hotel) and towels, toiletries etc replaced daily when required. Now for the cherry on the top, the amazing rooftop bar & restaurant where we had daily breakfast and evening drinks - the view of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill was stunning, especially when lit up at night. The choice at breakfast was extensive with cereals, juice, hot drinks, fruit, hot & cold items and a variety of breads, jams etc, enough to please the fussiest of eaters. Staff were constantly on hand to offer tea, coffee, juice etc and quickly clearing & cleaning tables with a smile. The proximity to Plaka, Monastiraki, Makrygianni, Thissio, Syntagma Square and other historic neighbourhoods are all within walking distance and as we are "walkers" anyway we trekked for miles further afield too. Athens is a fantastic city with so much to see & do and the people are so friendly, the food is fantastic and the historic & ancient buildings and monuments simply breathtaking. Finally when we returned from our cruise the hotel even stored our luggage for free whilst we spent another day exploring this wonderful city, such great customer service! The Niche Hotel Athens goes above & beyond and I would not hesitate in recommending this brilliant accommodation which deserves its 5 star review :)

We had a great stay at this hotel! Lovely premises, fantastic roof-top restaurant/bar, and outstanding staff. Very close to the Acropolis - a lovely view - and if you press the right button in the elevator you can be transported to 300 B.C. (there are some underground ruins to be seen below the hotel). The staff was incredible - from the moment you walk in to the moment you depart, they take care of your every need in the friendliest, most professional manner. The restaurant staff is also exceptional, from the morning breakfast buffet staff to the evening dinner/drinks staff, they make sure you are well taken care of. The food is delicious - the buffet options are many and varied, and the dinner is fantastic (be sure to have some of their specialty drinks!), and the view can't be beat. The room accommodations (we had a "Fine Niche Room") were spacious and well appointed...we stayed in several hotels in Italy and Greece during our trip, and this one was our favorite by far.

When researching places to stay in Athens Niche hotel got countless positive reviews. We decided to stay here with family for 8 days to celebrate my recent graduation from college. A majority of our stay was great and I had no complaints everything is wonderful, from the food, the views of the acropolis and the area which the hotel is located. However on my 5th night at Niche is where things took a turn after coming back from the beach one evening i was laying down on my bed in room 304 and felt something crawling on me, after I get up from the bed I see 3 large bedbugs crawling around the bed I instantly get up and go to the front desk. Someone did eventually help get all my stuff out of that room and moved me to a different room after lifting up the bed and seeing bedbugs crawling in the crevasses of the mattress. I was very disappointed that management didn’t find time to speak to me about the situation only the workers in the hotel. The manager said he would call me and never did. It took a very long time to hear about updates concerning a refund and how our clothes and suitcases would be sanitized. It took a very long time for that process to unfold and i was left waiting in limbo. Ultimately i did get a refund and my clothes and suitcase was high temperature washed but I didn’t get my clothes until the very last night of my trip. I didn’t like how the hotel handled its communication with me and was very turned off about it. I most likely will stay at a different hotel when im in Athens next time.

I definitely do not recommend this hotel especially for those who, like a good nights sleep. The room we booked with the city view takes in all the noise from the street. It’s definitely one of the worst rooms. Also, the room is so weird the sink is inside the room right across the bed it’s not inside the bathroom I think it’s very unhygienic. The floors of the entire hotel are marble, therefore whenever someone walks on the corridor to take the lift, or if they walk inside their room, the entire noise is inside your room. Therefore, you cannot sleep because of the car is outside and the people walking inside the hotel, the hotel does not have any amenities such as cotton pads, Q-tips, etc. and the curtains of the hotel room are not dark enough. Therefore some light comes through the curtains. The breakfast is average and I think they can do better, but they choose not to obviously all the comments that the hotel is clean but I doubt it. I forgot to mention that whenever you press the elevator button, the noise is so loud, make sure that you don’t book a room right next to the elevator. Ours is in the end of the corridor, but we can still hear whenever someone touches the elevator button.

Paid for 2 nights but only stayed 1 because of the noise! We booked the suite with the Acropolis view but the noise from one of the busiest avenues in Athens kept us up all night. Impossible to sleep, we asked for another room for our second night but all the rooms have the same problem as very little has been done from the hotel in terms of noise cancelling - despite their claims. I mean, there's a constant buzzing everywhere. We were so disappointed that we paid for the second night (no refunds policy) and booked a room in another hotel far away from that location. Oh and the hotel is not near the Acropolis area, it's a good 10 min walk on a charmless street surrounded by sexshops. the room was nice, the breakfast very good, but what's the point if you can't sleep? Why built a hotel in the one place you shouldn't ? Worst experience ever!

Stayed in the Niche hotel for 6 nights during our stay in Athens, I have found the hotel to be perfect, clean rooms and excellent restaurant/ bar. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond, opening doors, holding lifts and constantly topping up your drinks, giving you the 5 start hotel feel. The food on offer at breakfast is delicious and a lot of options with a beautiful view of the acropolis. We did not opt for a city view room, thinking ahead that most city’s are busy and noisy and looking at other reviews we were right, our Non-city view room was on the 6th floor and I had a wonderful nights sleep it was quiet and peaceful, the blackout curtains were excellent at keeping the light out too, the bed was comfortable and there is even an option to pick the style of pillow you want. The hotel itself is very central walking distance from Hadrian’s arch, the acropolis and the main restaurants/ market streets, we have managed to walk everywhere, spending our days sight seeing, finishing with a drink at the hotels roof bar before heading to our room for a comfortable nights sleep.

We booked the suite for 3 nights (.long weekend). Very friendly lady checked us in, and most of the staffs at the front desk were friendly too.
Room on the 7th floor was very spacious with a sitting area, large bathroom with separate bathtub just across the bed. The room has 2 balconies with spectacular view of the Acropolis. Coffee and tea maker is provided in the room too. Also a bottle of wine, snacks and delicious tropical fruit platter was delivered to our room soon after we entered checked in. 2 tvs in the room. Bed is high and comfortable with the option of of different choices of the pillows. 2 air conditioners in the room, both worked well. Although the room is very closed to the elevator, we weren’t disturbed by it.
Breakfast was served at the restaurant at the highest floor. When the weather is nice we could sit outside. With a splendid view overlooking the Acropolis. Breakfast is very good, so many delicious pastries, cheese, warm and cold choices of food to choose from. Fresh fruits and yoghurts. And don’t forget to try the mountain tea, the speciality tea from Greece. We also had a dinner at the restaurant on one occasion, we didn’t have that long for the food to be served and they were delicious too.
But there were some points which bothered us too, firstly the sound of the traffic. The hotel is located at a busy junction. Even with the doors closed properly, we still could hear the traffic. Secondly, the restaurant is just above the room, being on the 8th floor. The dragging, pushing and pulling of the seats could be heard obviously from the room. Very annoying especially if you would like to have a proper rest after having a long day exploring the city or if you decided to sleep out a bit and being awakened by the dragging sounds from above our heads. The hotel management must find a way to make the sounds from the restaurant more subtle if they don’t want to have cranky guests ;-)

We were very happy with the Niche. Even though the hotel is located on a busy street, and our room faced the street, the room was completely quiet. (We were on the 5th floor.) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast would be very good even without the view, but add in the very pleasant seating area, and the view of the Acropolis every morning and you've got a great way to start the day. Then, once you are ready to hit the streets, the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and the Acropolis metro station are all just a couple blocks away. The rooms are no smaller than at many urban hotels where we've stayed, but not as large as the ones we found in smaller towns.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Hotel Niche, which stands out for its contemporary style and soothing atmosphere. The staff, very warm, welcomed us with care and professionalism, which greatly contributed to making our stay pleasant.
Special mention for the hammam: it is a must! The spa experience is simply magical and deeply relaxing. We opted for a couples treatment including hammam bath, relaxation and massage. As regulars of massages and body treatments, we were amazed by the quality of this experience, which far exceeded our expectations.
The place is beautiful, modern, and designed with special attention to detail. The archaeological remains dating from 300 BC are beautifully presented in a serene atmosphere and in harmony with the spirit of the place.
The hygiene is impeccable, and everything is thought for the well-being of visitors. We would like to thank Krystian and Chrisa for their professionalism and delicacy in the art of skincare, which made this moment unique.
We warmly recommend this establishment for an absolute relaxation break in the heart of Athenian history.
