Staying at the Grand Hyatt and having lunch and dinner at The Grand by Interni, I can recommend having a meal there. The ricotta Gnocchi with carmelized figs is an outstanding dish. The Grouper with Orzo and roasted beetroot was another delicious dish. Sea Bass Ceviche was a little soupy but had such a good taste that I asked for a spoon to catch the liquid. I also tasted a lovely salad with goat cheese and an excellent Beef Tartare. Everything I tasted was good and unpretentious. The service was excellent and punctual. I highly recommend the Grand by Interni.

Very inexpensive for the level of luxury you get!

Note the location is next to a highway and your view may be that of a red light district. You’re a short taxi ride away from the Acropolis attractions, and taxis aren’t expensive.

Rooms were beautiful and there were many friendly staff. I did come on a holiday, and there was also a good amount of waiting I had to do—be prepared to exercise some patience.

Hyatt lounge was nice and had great food, even in evenings.

Indoor pool did have a chlorine smell, which is common. It wasn’t the cleanest or most luxurious spa so I skipped it. Gym was relatively small and in a basement.

Roof and breakfast views were fantastic.

Rooms were luxurious and clean and new.

But for the price, I would totally come back to this hotel. It’s a fantastic value for the money! Yes, it may not be as luxurious as a place like the Grand Hyatt Kauai, but it gets the job done for a fraction of the cost!

From the moment of arrival, every member of staff made me feel so welcome and were extremely helpful. The hotel is in a great location, the views from the 8th and 9th floors are stunning. The food was great. The room itself was beautiful.

This hotel is actually very good in many ways. The room was large, bed comfortable and breakfast was very good (but chaotic). The location is horrible. It’s by a 8 lane highway and despite the thick windows the constant noise of traffic can be heard. The view from our room was of seedy strip clubs and the main road towards the town is full of sex shops. So not a very nice area. The underground station is quite far away but uber taxis are very reasonable, costing about 8 euros to town. The most expensive on was during Friday rush hour and even that was 12 euros. Our room had tiny balcony but it was unusable due to the traffic noise and pollution.
We had use of the club lounge which was very nice , providing snacks and drinks, including wine throughout the day. We used it also for breakfast after trying the upstairs main restaurant once for breakfast and found it totally chaotic.
I dined at the 9th floor restaurant once. The service was friendly but everything took a very long time. Also my food resembled a school dinner. I have never seen a dish as bland and beige in a restaurant ever before. A huge disappointment!
The views form the restaurant are beautiful with great views of Acropolis. There is also pools with sunloungers and tables with chairs on 8th floor roof terrace. We were there at Easter when temperatures were +25c but pools were closed.

Consistent Hyatt experience. Warm and welcoming greeting. Nancy, the guest relations manager, brought us up to our rooms. All the comfort and service of a Hyatt. We choose this location at the back end of a 10-day Greece holiday- knowing we would want all the Hyatt amenities. Location was not a consideration as we knew we wouldn’t be leaving the hotel with a late arrival and early checkout. We stayed at the A77 Suites at the start of our trip, which was an amazing location for walking, shopping and touring. Not sure the Grand Hyatt would have worked from that perspective.

We booked rooftop dinner reservations a week or so ago. Service was awful— server was absent although may not have been her fault. We went to the bar for our drinks. Parts of the order never arrived. Completely understand that things get busy and places are understaffed but a simple “we are sorry” would have gone a long way.

Nice room with the view of acropolis, very clean and large. The bed was really good, hotel has been upgraded under the new management. Lobby and restaurants are great for coffee, drinks or food. There is parking area with less than 20 euro per 24 hrs which is considered normal fee.

The Grand Hyatt Athens is a lovely hotel with spectacular views from the dining rooms. The staff was attentive and responsive to all our requests. The spa was beautiful. The breakfast buffet was amazing as were the dinners. The hotel location is about 1.8 miles from Plaka, which we found quite walkable once we figured out the over and underpasses for pedestrians, and the routes that took us off the main busy street. The location - on a very busy street - is a detraction for those who like to walk everywhere.

Nice and spacious hotel with good facilities and amenities providing for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, as my visit was in low season, the rooftop pool was not accessible even to sunbathe, which was somewhat disappointing. Otherwise, the staff were generally responsive to our needs, especially when there was an issue with the wi-fi in our room. The hotel is a good base for relaxation after spending some time exploring the City, which is accesible easily by taxi.

Not a grand experience as one would expect from a Grand Hyatt. Service was mediocre and not memorable. Everyone from the luggage assistance to check-in to executive service was excellent on the 1st day. Then it slipped on the 2nd and get worse over the next 3 days to the point where the lounge attendant is accusing guests of taking food and drinks outside of the exec lounge. They watched me like a hawk even when I am refilling plain water into my own water bottle. I got really uncomfortable and only visit the lounge for 5-10 minutes max. I have been to over 6 Grand Hyatt around the world and this GH is comparable to a lower end Hyatt Regency in terms of service.

This hotel property itself is lovely with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and the view from the bars is awesomel I did not eat here except 1 room service meal which was fine, but not stellar...I'd say par for the course for room service at most hotels. I would have preferred more covers on the bed and doubled over my king-size comforter because I like a little more blanket weight on me at night. The only reason for 4 stars is location , specifically the neighborhood and proximity to an insane amount of strip clubs and clubs in general. We were walking to a different location for a meeting early in the morning and had to walk past the clubs, which made the area feel a bit seedy.

Same for us too - we didn’t use these facilities as it was end September/beginning October when we stayed at this hotel. However, the pool was not indoors, it was outdoors by the restaurant. Nice view of the Acropolis from the pool area!

There are many options. Check at the reception desk. I would suggest taking the hop on hop off or sightseeing bus also to be able to see all of the amazing sights the City has to offer, and the beach riviera is a must see also. Especially if you have limited time. If not and when at the heart of the City all highlights can be reached on foot. From the Acropolis to Agora and to all museums. If you have the bandwidth try walking up to the Holy temple of St. George. Safe travel and enjoy!

I booked this room classification for August 2023. I emailed them to ask for photos and they said that it is currently under construction and they don't have a date of completion but it should be done by August.
