On the doorstep of all the sights including the acropolis and acropolis museum, rooms are clean and modern with a great shower. On a side street so no road noise. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Great breakfast selection and coffees with a view of the acropolis Recommend 100%

Simply superb value. Best location in Athens. Beautiful rooftop view with a delicious complimentary breakfast. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed (though not terribly big). The shower was a highlight with great water pressure. The owner and all the staff were delightful - kind, warm, and accommodating. We really felt like guests. We stayed in another similarly priced hotel on a previous trip to Athens and it did not compare. We’re kicking ourselves for not booking with AD on that first trip. We traveled with other couples who all raved about the hotel (we chose it). For the money, it’s hard to think you’d find a better option in Athens.

Excellent smart hotel, with 20 rooms, a 2-3 min walk from the Acropolis and all its historic charms. Rooms are clean but small - we upgraded to a larger twin and it was worth the money (an extra 15 euros per night only in February). Ask for rooms ending in 01 for the extra space and larger bathrooms (exclude room 501 which is next to the guest toilet, servicing the breakfast rooftop on the 6th). Beds comfortable, AC strong and cleaning service excellent. The bedroom doors aren't super thick so probably allow in a fair bit of noise in high occupancy season. Breakfast overlooks the Acropolis. It's a big spread of everything Greek you could wish to eat - but it is all cold food. Suited us but maybe not others. AD Athens is next to Acropolis metro and a short walk to the hop-on hop-off stops. It's located on the fringe of Plaka and a 15-min walk to Monastiraki Square. Owned by the ever-helpful Epighenia, this hotel has service standards which you can only get with such a personal touch. If you are staying in Athens for 2-3 days, this place is ideal for the value and service it provides.

I chose the AD hotel based on good reviews, central location and it being a smaller boutique hotel which is my preference. I was not disappointed. Check in was smooth, I had a late check in at 11pm. The room is small, but cozy, with plenty of storage and hanging space, which is usually an issue in smaller rooms. Plenty of lighting, although I wish they had a brighter vanity mirror light in the bathroom versus a bright overhead light. Bathroom was tiny but clean, functional and very good shower. very limited counter space. Climate control worked well, especially since it was unusually cold on my stay. I do wish the room safe was a bit larger, as it is only large enough for phone/documents, not a laptop. The location is superb, literally steps away from Metro and few more to the museum and pathway to Acropolis. Wifi speed was a little on the slow side, especially for uploads, but was consistent. Street was quiet at night, although it was the slow season, so perhaps in summer it might be louder Included breakfast was nice, Greek continental with a fair amount of options, but no cooked food. Overall the stay was excellent and I highly recommend this family run hotel.

We happened to find AD Athens Luxury Hotel on Trip Advisor. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel!! From the beginning they accommodated us by having a taxi ready to pick us up at the airport, price quoted so no surprises. The driver communicated with us & was there ready for our pickup. No waiting! The hotel is located right by the Acropolis, acropolis museum & Plaka. So we could walk everywhere, keep plenty busy & always feel safe! The staff was outstanding, helpful & friendly! Even the house keeper ran down when we were checking out because I forgot something in our room! The breakfast was a buffet of Greek foods with coffees & a full view of the acropolis!!!! The hotel is very clean with great showers & comfy beds. It’s a great price too. We highly recommend!!

The hotel is comfortable and clean, reasonable rates. Very hospitable staff, happy to provide assistance as requested. Very secured, 24 hr front desk service. Only hotel guests could get in and out. Ideal location for visitors !! Just a short walk to the Acropolis . Walking distance to other major attractions. The Acropoli Metro station is right by the hotel entrance. Very close to the Plaka district, so great shopping and plenty of restaurants close by. I highly recommend. .

An excellent hotel. Location, service, rooftop breakfast venue with great Acropolis view, reasonable rates and the lovely Princess Fiona the rescue dog. Perfect stay for 7 nights in Athens. Standard rooms are fine but the 5th floor suites with terraces are best options. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The first thing I discovered upon entering my room is that the hotel has no luggage racks or places to open a suitcase. I used a desk chair and asked for something else so they brought up a piece of furniture from the lobby for me. But plan to put your suitcase on a desk chair or the floor, which of course is not ideal. Once my suitcase was on the chair, I could no longer walk on that alley along the bed. It's a very small room. The bathroom is stylish but soooo small. The sink is only inches deep and the faucet runs across that depth so when you're running the water to wash your face you are absolutely always splashing water on the floor. The shower doesn't have a door that closes so you're always overflowing on the floor while showering, as well. And it's very strange that there is a window in the shower so people can watch you shower because there's no curtain. I've never seen that before anywhere. The woman who runs the hotel was so very helpful to me when I asked for a band aid. She generously offered me a wide selection of things to help me with my scratch. She really goes out of her way to help. George was the one to open the door in the evenings and was always helpful with anything I asked for. They manage the hotel like a family would manage a home for visitors they really care about. The location is extremely central - you will be in the very epicenter of Athens tourism, so that's a consideration. You are pretty much right on Plaka and can walk there to Hadrian's Arch in just a couple of minutes. The view from the roof is astoundingly spectacular and you can sit there in the morning with the best coffee imaginable and a wonderful breakfast and have an experience that really won't be matched by almost any other hotel in the world as you're staring at the Parthenon in full view and watching the sunrise and the clouds passing over the Acropolis. So while the rooms are very small, the experience overall is quite pleasant and a very good value for the money.

The view from the 6th floor breakfast patio is breathtaking! We even played cards up there at night. It is a short walk to the Acropolis, and the restaurant Greek Stories around the corner is fantastic!
