We stayed here as a surprise trip for my boyfriend. The hotel was a good price, which is why I chose it. You got your value for money. They were very helpful when we got there, we were able to check in over an hour early which was great. The room was fairly small but perfect for if you’re just using it for sleeping. It was clean and tidy and the bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was €8 but it wasn’t the best, some of it was cold, the orange juice machine wasn’t working and there wasn’t anyone there to help out. It also states that there is a rooftop bar, there isn’t. There are some chairs and tables on the roof but no bar. The gym was nice, clean, spaced out. The hotel itself was in walking distance to loads of stuff. About a 5 mins walk to a bus stop for a hop on hop off bus, loads of shops round the corner and restaurant/cafes on the square. Checkout was quick and easy and they stored our bags for us until we were ready to leave.

Overall we had a lovely experience and would recommend staying here, I would stay again.

Worth paying a bit extra for larger room with City view, which was across the adjacent square with a large marble church, well worth an internal viewing.
Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Lots of fresh fruit options as well as pastries.
Room was fine with comfortable beds and lovely rain effect shower. Only slightly bad point was we never received sufficient towels for two people after room service had visited. Two used hand and shower towels were removed and replace by one. Toilet paper appeared to be in short supply and we had to ask at reception for replacement roll!
There is a fridge in the room, very useful, and also a kettle. The cardboard cups were never renewed so useful to take your own plastic cups if you want a hot drink in the room.
Yes there are quite a few homeless and druggies on the streets nearby but they don't bother passers by, although we were never out really late at night.
Best facility was the roof top terrace with City and Acropolis views. You can take your own snacks and drinks up there and enjoy this iconic view.

This is a really good budget hotel - the hotel was clean throughout, the rooms were spacious, and staff were really friendly and happy to help. We only really used the hotel to sleep and spent our days in and around Athens, bit it was nice coming back to a clean and safe environment.

The location of the hotel however is run down and a bit sketchy, as three women travelling we didn't feel particularly careful walking around after dark here and stuck to main roads to get between the more touristy areas or Athens and our hotel. It's a shame too as the hotel is in 15 - 30 minutes walk distance of all the major sites in Athens, we didn't end up needing to use public transport at all and could walk everywhere, so it's very handy in that regard. I would be cautious about staying in this area if I was a solo traveller or a family with children.

On a short jaunt to Athens to celebrate the arrival of Spring we spent three nights at the Brown Kubic, adjacent to Omonia Square. The hotel is conveniently located to the Metro, shopping and places to eat. Updated in 2020, everything is new or nearly new, including a nicely furnished gym. The staff could not be more accommodating. We arrived at around 12:00 pm, with room check-in at 15:00. No sooner had one of the desk clerks taken our bags to hold until our room was ready, than another clerk came and gave us the key to our room. This was the level of service we received for our entire stay. There is complementary prosecco and fruit on offer in the lobby, and ouzo bloody marys or fresh squeezed orange juice screwdrivers for the making at breakfast. Breakfast is served between 7:00 am and 12:00 pm. The selection is more than adequate and the food is fresh. You can easily fuel-up before heading out for a day exploring the sights. The hotel is located within a 2-2.5 kilometer radius of most of the major attractions in Athens. We walked our entire stay save for catching the metro to and from the airport. The Brown Kubic is one of the best budget hotels I have stayed at anywhere. There is a rooftop patio for relaxing and sun bathing when weather appropriate. One caveat, we had a "City View" room; it was small. Somewhat larger rooms are also on offer, so choose what suits you best. We found the rooftop adequate compensation for the small room. We would stay again. Highly recommended. Five out of Five!

I would call this more of a Bed & Breakfast than a hotel. No bar & the only meal I could see they served was breakfast (I should have researched the hotel better before booking - I just assumed there would be a bar & food but in my defense, there’s no individual website for this hotel, just the Brown Hotels group website). The rooms were spotless clean & beds very comfortable. Road outside the hotel is very busy so a lot of noise creeps in. There is no information in the hotel rooms about hotel facilities, local restaurants or bars so I had to ask at the reception desk (staff were brisk but polite and helpful)

The location is not great; it’s about a 20 minute walk to the centre but it’s a sometimes scary walk as the area the hotel is situated in does not feel safe, there was some drug use in the open along some of the streets and it’s quite rundown - this is why the lack of bar & food options in the hotel bother me. I went for a walk on the first evening to find somewhere for food, around the hotel, and couldn’t find anywhere that looked welcoming or that looked like they might serve tourists (I was completely ignored in one particular Asian restaurant near the hotel), so I ended up spending more on taxis than I thought I would, just to try feed myself because I didn’t want to be walking after dark near my hotel.

Athens itself was wonderful & I felt safe everywhere else in the city, just not near my hotel.

All the hotel staff were lovely and always helpful when we needed it, thank you for making our stay feel special!

Also the hotel room was better than we thought it would be, everything we ideally needed, shower room was a bit small and closed off but we made do with it.

The area outside the hotel is a little rough but luckily we had no problems with any of the locals.

Thank you again to the staff for making our stay great!

Omg, This is the First Smart Hotel in Athens and I was privileged enough to experience this.. I’m not a Spring Chicken and this hotel allowed me to participate in
what’s happening in our Futuristic World.
This hotel introduced and taught me how to control my room
lights, bathroom lights, shower lights and opening and closing my window curtains with a touch of a button on a IPad that was provided Free of charge by the hotel!!
What fun I had living in The New Modern Age!!!
The hotel Staff was very friendly and attentive to my questions about the areas.
The Complimentary Breakfast had a wide assortment of dishes to make you feel like a Greek God and Greek Princess, along with Beverages like Greek Coffees , Tea’s, Mimosas and Healthy Blood Mary’s..😂
I truly enjoyed the hotels location. Close to The Famous Acropolis, Shops, Souvenir Shops Restaurants and the Subway Train that takes you anywhere you need to go.
If you are visiting Greece for the first time or if you are returning on a Greece visit, Experience The Brown Cubic Hotel!!

I’m Vikki The Realtor in Queens NY.

Stayed at the Kubic Smart Hotel for 3 nights. Had an awesome stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations for places to eat and how to get places. Had a nice little rooftop terrace. Had nice time drinking wine and having some snacks up there with a nice view of the Acropolis in the distance. It’s a smaller hotel. So if you are looking for something a little more cozy than those chain hotels I would recommend this place. Breakfast was great. Selection of pastries, breads, eggs ( scrambled, omelette and boiled eggs), water juices and coffees. Bacon and select deli meats fruits and cheeses. Small selection of wines and beers too. I would definitely stay at the kubic when in Athens again. Hope this review helps you out. Just a nice little hotel with a great friendly staff.

Stayed for the first time in Kubic and enjoyed it. The service was very good for any country, especially so for Greece (Greek service is often quite blunt to be honest). The staff was ready and willing to help with everything and anything.

The rooftop terrace was OK, great view if a bit small. The gym was good for morning cardio and some lighter training.

The greatest feature was definitely the breakfast. Small, but such great quaity! From great yoghurt to salmon and acai berries, the stuff was certainly not cheap. The rarest feature of the breakfast was the vodka buffet! Didn't enjoy it as couldn't get drunk in the morning, but still. vodka buffet!

Only minus was the really shoddy workmanship all around the hotel. The building work is really really poor.

Very nice hotel, lovely staff, who spoke very well English. Fully stocked bar but only serve breakfast.

Area of the hotel is in a very poor location and was told it’s not the safest area to be in. This aside Uber into the city was around 5 euro each way so was no issue getting a taxi into the centre.

The room I was in had a full wall of windows they also have rooms with balconys. The entrance is flat and no steps to get to reception desk and they have lifts to take you to the rooms and dining room. There was a couple of steps into the bar area but there was a ramp right next to it for people with mobility issues. The only area you may struggle with is the roof top the lift takes you to the top floor and then there’s one flight of stairs to the roof but otherwise it was all walker and wheelchair friendly.
