Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We stayed at the Lozenge for four nights before heading to Naxos by ferry. The hotel was clean, modern, and quiet. Our spacious room faced out onto an upscale pedestrianized street in a location that was easily walkable to many attractions. We were in Athens during a heat wave, but the room was comfortably air-conditioned, and a few times we returned to the hotel to cool off before venturing out again. The bed was comfortable and roomy. The breakfast was excellent, with an outdoor patio, lots of variety, and good service. We also ate dinner there one evening and enjoyed good food and service at reasonable prices. On our final morning we had to catch an early ferry, and the staff arranged a taxi for us and let us serve ourselves from the buffet 15 minutes before breakfast opened at 7:30. The driver walked over to the hotel from where he was parked and walked us the couple of short blocks to the car. The 20-minute drive to the port cost 28 euros. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

This hotel has to be one of my all time favourite European hotels!! We stayed here before and after our cruise. The staff are so courteous & lovely, nothing is any trouble. Rooms are spacious, sparkling clean & bright. Breakfast was amazing, good selection, coffee was perfect and service even better. We also used the restaurant, which was great and reasonable too. If you want to see the sights easily, location is perfect. Walking distance to main attractions and literally around the corner from Sytagmo Square, metro & bus stop. First time using public transport to and from an airport - so handy! If you are on a cruise, the metro is at the bottom of the hill and costs €1.20 per person to get to Pireus. There is a reason why it has no bad reviews!!

What a gem of a find. My wife booked this hotel for us after our lovely cruise finished in Athens. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely smile from Giota and informed that it would not be that long before our room was ready and we were directed to the restaurant next door to receive a complimentary breakfast which was absolutely sublime. The restaurant staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are a credit to their company. Our room was lovely very modern and with tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent AC which went down to 16 Celsius which we found to be a God send as the ambient temperature was 34 Celsius. The Hotel is situated very close to the metro station and the Greek Parliament House. We had lunch and dinner at Lozenge which is prepared to order with fresh ingredients. We made a promise to the hotel that when we return to Athens that we would stay there. A big hello and thank you to Tzeni, Efi, Billy, Marieta, Giota, Vasia , the Chefs and the House keeping staff. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Duncan & Odette from Inverness Scotland.

We stayed in this beautiful place for three nights, prior to our Mediterranean cruise. Firstly, the staff here are amazing, friendly and keen to assist in any way. The rooms are tidy and clean and quite. In a nice part of town, central to the metro and restaurants and shopping. The breakfast is fantastic with a great variety of food. The restaurant has beautiful food with a great range also. Would not hesitate in staying here again.

The Lozenge hotel was a great choose for my girlfriend and I. It’s a short walk from the metro station and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is in a nice part of Athens near a bunch of high end stores so the area is very safe. We’re big walkers so it was nice to be in a quiet area but still totally accessible to Plaka, Acropolis, restaurants, etc. They breakfast buffet was also very good!

Located centrally to the Metro station @ Syntagma Square which makes it super easy to access the Airport and the Acropolis. We only had a 24 hour window in Athens and this hotel was a good choice. It's on a pedestrian mall (which we didn't know before hand) so got dropped off by taxi (from the coach terminal) on a nearby street - which confused us - but luckily a friendly English speaking lady helped us out... Phew! The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable, very comfy beds, and the breakfast is good. Hotel staff speak English so we had no problems asking for help & directions to join our pre-booked walking tours. Lots of cafes & restaurants nearby so plenty of options for lunch/dinner/drinks. Unfortunately roof top bar was closed during our stay but lots of other options available. If I go back to Athens I'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights before boarding a cruise ship. The hotel was just what we needed, clean, modern and in the centre. It is located on a pedestrian street close to the main centre. It does continental style breakfast with lovely fresh orange juice. I particularly liked the croissants. It has a bistro which does dinner - ate there one night and was very reasonably priced for good food. We stayed in a junior suite with balcony which was a great size, had a sofa area and a spacious bathroom. There was a little fridge with some complementary soft drinks. Would definitely stay again if in Athens. We walked to near the parliament building and did the open top bus tour which enabled us to see the sights without walking for miles after a long plane journey. Also nearby is Attica, a department store, good for anything you have forgotten and to have some cool air con. There is a little supermarket round the corner and plenty of kiosks around for drinks and snacks.

Location is perfect if you want to be in old Athens. Walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. Quiet area . Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was on fifth floor very spacious with a nice terrace . Bed is a queen size but comfortable. Bathroom with a good shower .towels soft and fluffy. Breakfast buffet was good a collection ( eggs - bacon- few cheeses- cereals- fresh tomatoes and cucumbers-good selection of coffees) They offer a free bottle of water on daily basis What I didn’t like was the loud noise of A/C The glass partition in terrace between our room and next had big cracks running through it

The hotel is not on a main street, but on a walkway, but is walkable to the Plaka. We got dropped off on one of the side streets and had to walk to the hotel. For pickup from the hotel, arrangements can be made for the driver to walk to the hotel to pick you up, so there are no problems with pick up. The lobby was small and the staff were friendly and courteous. A decent breakfast if part of the stay package, but do not know if worth paying extra if you do not have a breakfast package. The rooms were decent and clean. Not an expensive hotel, but well worth the money.
