Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mistakenly booked this instead of a hotel in Lisbon but no regrets. Room was spacious for 3, included breakfast was very good (especially in free singjng), staff all round were very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and to be honest, beds were almost the best we've ever slept in. Absolutely recommended.

The hotel was great from beginning till end. We arrived very late looking for a place to sleep and they were very friendly and gave us a room with a late check out (we arrived 5 in the morning) The lady at the breakfast was very nice and funny. Even if we woke up too late for breakfast she let us inside the breakfast room and extra served us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for one night. The reception area looked quite good but I felt the hotel needed a bit of an upgrade. It was clean and the rooms were ok. There was an odd smell from the air conditioning. The beds were comfortable but we only had 1 pillow each. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast. The only place to offer decaffeinated coffee in Portugal. The lady doing breakfast was lovely and very cheery. The reception staff were very helpful. It was a cheap hotel in a bit of a rough area and ok for one night.

Pretty well situated (300 metres from old town), with spacious rooms and good bathrooms. Very clean and quiet. The staff - friendly, kind and helpfull. Breakfast - not bad, but every day the same and pretty frugal for an romanian.

We booked the Arangues in early January based on price (37 euro including breakfast) and convenient location to where we were travelling. We found a free parking space quite easily close to the hotel. The receptionist was very friendly, helpful and quickly booked us into our room which was clean and had all the essentials including a reasonably comfortable double bed. Being January it was cold at night and the aircon unit took some time to bring the room up to an adequate temperature. The breakfast was also adequate with a good spread of only cold fair but plenty of it. The waitress seemed very happy in her work as she sang joyfully for our entire stay in the dining room. Yes, a very adequate hotel and if the need arose we would return but only for a short stay.

Simple, clean and functional rooms. Furniture a bit older, but that has to be expected at this price and it was still ok. Breakfast nothing special but not bad either. The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre. One extra point for the very friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed for one night only at this hotel The room was clean but v old fashioned and there is a general gloom / darkness in this hotel It felt more like a funeral home than a hotel. Staff at Reception were efficient but not overly friendly but the lovely lady at breakfast was smiling and very helpful and friendly - the best thing about this hotel. I think the standard of food at breakfast is very poor, cheap food and you have to pay extra for eggs -€1.50 per two units Juices are watered down. Parking is free in the parking area in front of the hotel. Traffic is relatively busy in front but our room was to the back and was quiet. I did sleep well. But won't be returning as found it very depressing

That hotel is ok, seems to be quite old but its clean. Old tv in the room will tell you everything. If you don't expect fancy accomodation should be fine for you. They don't offer good breakfasts, no hot meal like scrambled eggs or hot sasuages.
