Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Corinthia Lisbon offers an ambiance that has been widely acclaimed for its elegance, complete with fresh flowers and soothing piano music that enhances the breakfast experience. Many guests have commended the hotel for its amenities, highlighting the comfortable rooms and diverse dining options, though the spa fees and maintenance have occasionally drawn criticism. While travelers have found the rooms to be luxurious, some have raised concerns regarding cleanliness and noise. The hotel's location garners mixed reviews; it's considered central by some but slightly off the beaten path for others.
Service at the Corinthia Lisbon is generally celebrated for its professionalism and friendliness, yet a few guests have encountered service inconsistencies, especially in the dining area. The hotel's overall cleanliness receives praise, but there have been mentions of sporadic housekeeping issues. Opinions on value for money are divided, with some guests appreciating the cost-effectiveness of their stay, while others feel the services don't justify the price.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
I stayed in the Maritime suite for a night.
Beautiful suite, nicely decorated with lot of attention to the detail. All comfort is there, with a bathtube with view to the water bridge, the bridge of 25th of April, Cristo rei and the city.
The bed is very comfortable, the pressure of the water in the shower is exceptionnal.
João did a fantastic job to check me in, to inform me about the hotel services and escorted me to the room where he explained how it works.
Later I ordered some room service, I was well attended and the order was comform to my said. tiago came with his trolley to deliver the food according to the time frame I was given and did an excellent job to setup my in room dining table, with care and attention to the details, always explaining me what he was doing. The food was amazing, I had the August Burger and the cheesecake, one word to describe: fantastic! then I called Gabriela to collect the plates, she was lovely and fast to let me enjoy the suite.
check out was smooth and efficient.
all the staff at Corinthia Lisbon is fantastic and always here to help. From the entrance of the hotel to all the services.
Highly recommend.

I first came here a few years ago the first time i guess i did not spend much time or give the hotel much time to expirience the best and finest luxury like i did on this trip.
As soon as our car stopped we got a lovely gentleman came to help with our bags and valet while we went on to check in .
Check in was very patient and worked with us including informing us about their covid protocols in place. While checking in their manager even camd to say hi and welcome us back again and to always contact them if we needed help or anything.
The Exucutive suite we had was supposed to come with lounge access but due to covid measures it was closed and for this they gave us vouchers to use daily during our stay .
This is my 3rd time staying with them now and this time i stayed in the Executive suite ,just wow i must say big sitting area, dinning are ,2 toilets a seperate rain shower and seperate bathroom ,a walkin closet plus yhe bedroom. We had welcome treats .the room smelled fresh and everything was clean and well stocked from the bar, coffee area and all rooms.
Our rooms got cleaned daily plus turn down every nite ,they always left a treat on our pillows , a lavendar pouch plus water and a hygiene kit (masks and hand sanitiser)every nite. The bathrooms always got towels, soap and shower caps replaced .
In terms of in room dinning ,i ordered both breakfast and dinner and it always came with extras all freshly prepared plus delicious meals and friendly staff.
If you are driving they have parking and a reasonable charge ,Very welcoming and friendly wonderful staff every one of them we talked to .
Thank you to Corinthia lisbon .We will be back.

We stayed here during the first weekend of March from Friday to Monday, this was the time when there was a lockdown but the Coronavirus news on the media is starting to spread. This is my second time in this hotel and was delighted to see again the familiar lobby but with a new counter for conventions and events. The huge nicely arranged fresh flowers is a delight. The hotel is just an UBER drive away from the tourist centre, like from Corinthia to Cais do Sodre, costs around €5.30 and in less than 15 minutes, you're there. My first stay was in the Junior suit which has a large space (around 45 square meters) and a sitting area. For this stay, I chose Corinthia because of the positive experience I had before. Check in was a breeze, we were upgraded to our delight to a DEluXE King size room. It was a bit smaller than my first but still ample space. If I'm not mistaken, we were in room 421, the amenities were great. I hope the leak from the bide has already been fixed as I am writing this. But they were so thoughtful and apologetic for it, they even gave us a small gesture of snacks and cake because of this. Most importantly, they gave me a surprise gift of a bottle of champagne, pasteis de nata, cake with a note of happy birthday (even though I didn't mention that we were there to celebrate my birthday but maybe the system gave that information away). Big thanks to the staff and general manager for that. Also, as always, the breakfast (as compared to other big name brand hotels that we have stayed in which I will not mention) this by far has one of the biggest selection of breakfast food in Lisbon. I don't regularly write reviews recently because of this, I refuse to rant but to rave for something. But in this case, Corinthia has really went beyond and above my expectations so much so that, God willing, I will celebrate my birthdays here when I am in Portugal. The in room service was also a delight. We tried it several times (even during my first stay here) and they're all hot, served on time (please allow at least 15 to 20 minutes) and very well presented. Well, about the spa... the spa is huge with a lot of doors, I almost got lost, good thing they (as in all spas) would lead the way. But, as compared to Asian spas, the massage is not something I would recommend. I would have gotten another 50 minute massage and facial before we checked-out if I was impressed, but the service isn't what I expected. The effleurage (a type of long strokes in the massage) was faster than usual. The massage strokes should be paced slowly to relax the client. But then again, this is coming from someone who has a background in the spa industry. But the spa staff were generally courteous. All in all, I would still highly recommend the Corinthia and will come back because of the thoughtfulness and hospitality of the hotel's front liners and the GM. Muito obrigada por tudo.

This hotel is best described as form over function - it is very beautiful but has some faults. There is a very strange elevator system. There was lots of noise from renovations during the day. There are lots of electrical outlets that turn off when the lights are turned off at night. I could never get the desk lamp to work. The lights go out instantly when the key card is removed as one exits the room, rather than a few second delay as in most hotels. The shower cap package in the bathroom was empty. There is an overhead or hand-held shower but no mat or hand rails. There was a bit of a smell in the bathroom. The bed was good, and there were lots of pillows. Breakfast with piano music offered lots of choices, but the flavors were bland. Some tables were provided with salt and pepper, but not all. Toast was caught in the toaster and reported as it might have caught fire, but the report was ignored. There was no milk for tea, but it was tasty nonetheless. The safe worked one day but not the next. It is easy to pinch one's finger in the closet door. I was charged about 10 euros after I returned home for who knows what, but I figured it was too small an amount to complain about. I would look elsewhere on a return to Lisbon.

Dear Thank you for having taken the time to post a review for us. We strive to accommodate all of our guests and their needs, and I was disappointed to hear about the problems you encountered regarding your experience at the room. Our company offers extensive training programmes and we should never get customer service wrong. Thank you so much for bringing to our attention the functioning of the power outlets. Please note that it only works with the room key activated. We will tackle this issue directly with our engineering department to re-check all power outlets. Regarding the elevator system we thank you for your comments. The elevator system in place aims to provide more safety and security to the hotels guests once it only allows to be used into the floor the guest is staying and the public areas. We are taking your valid comments regarding the room onboard for our next room renovation. Your comments regarding the food will be shared with our Executive Chef to follow up. Unfortunately our team could have handled this better and we apologize for getting it wrong this time. We know that this does not change your experience but you can feel confident that we have heard your concern and are taking appropriate action. Thank you once again for your feedback, and I hope you will give us another opportunity to welcome you back in the very near future so that we may show you that we stand behind our commitment to grand hospitality. One of the relatively newest hotels in Lisbon and a must stay for business travellers. The building is beautiful and perfectly maintained and it has such a concept that even being a huge property, you always feel like staying in a smaller, cozy and charming boutique hotel. The staff is amazing, very well trained and always ready to serve with kindness, professionalism and true empathy (there is nothing in this world worst than fake smiles in upscale hotels). The only negative point that depends a lot on the travel purpose is ther location, a little bit away from major points of interest in town, but nothing that you can't reach on a 5 to 10 min Uber ride. It's my favourite and first option in Portugal for business.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst on a short break to Lisbon.
The hotel we felt was an ideal location, close to the airport and a little out from the hustle and bustle making it quiet but still easily accessible.
The room we had on the tenth floor was well appointed with everything we required. It was serviced well everyday and also turned down in the evening.
Having had breakfast included daily this is the one area that in comparison with other Corinthia Hotels really let the hotel down and needs some attention. On entering the breakfast room and providing your name and room number you’re left to find your own seat, why not show the guest to their seat? After most mornings walking around aimlessly you often had to usher a member of staff to clean and reset a table so you had somewhere to sit. If the hosts escorted guests it would ensure a clean flow with tables being turned much more frequently and efficiently.
Coffee is also served with UHT milk, so take it black and get some fresh milk from the buffet where the cereals are located (milk jugs are provided).
We ate on two occasions in the evening and service and food was outstanding.
I did enjoy the hotel but it didn’t live up to the standards of London for example and that really did come down to the service at breakfast which I found poor and required a lot of improvements as stated but I would be happy to stay here again.

It is hard to explain fully just how awful this hotel is.
Took 10 hours for the third bed to arrive for our five year old son to sleep in. We had been awake since 3am and it arrived after 2100 in spite of four requests and first requesting it at 1045
Breakfast was a complete shambles every single morning . Loads of staff with attitude but no leadership or orange juice or plates or glasses or basic
Supplies for a hot breakfast such as beans.
No logical system for restocking buffet.
Asked for fresh milk as I don't like UHT to be told by a Manager that they don't stock it
Room service was unbelievable and the phone rang out so you have to go down in the elevator to order which defeats the purpose.
Concierge arranged a taxi which costs us double the return journey .
Face cloths disappeared after first night of six but we had brought our own. Three towels in each bathroom but there should be two per person to allow hair to be dried.
Rooms were small . Bathroom issues were not resolved 24 hours after highlighting them at reception.

Overall the Corinthia is a beautiful hotel that I would recommend but I do feel it is overpriced compared to other hotels of the same rating. Our room was decorated nicely and the bathroom was fabulous but I couldn't help but feel a little let down when we walked into our room especially with the size of our room. Our room also faced the back of the hotel which gave us a nice view of the 25 de Abril Bridge but we were also directly on the flight path which meant we were woken up around 6am when the flights started arriving.
Staff are very pleasant to deal with, and when we requested items like an iron & ironing board they were delivered within a few minutes to the room. We had a couple of cocktails in the Erva bar, whilst it is a nice setting and the staff were nice it is a little overpriced.
The location of the hotel is great if you want to stay outside of the busy city. We took the metro 7 stops into the city each day/evening, it takes 15 minutes and you can get a 24hr unlimited transport pass for 6 euro. The train to Sintra also stops in this station. There is a taxi rank located in front of the hotel and there is always taxis present, we were never left waiting for one.
Staff are very pleasant to deal with, and when we requested items like an iron & ironing board they were delivered within a few minutes to the room. We had a couple of cocktails in the Erva bar, whilst it is a nice setting and the staff were nice it is a little overpriced.

On the first day, when we got to the room, we noticed that they had not changed the toilet trash, so there were still covid tests from previous guests. The reception suggested to change the room but didn’t even apologize like if it was a normal situation for a 5 star hotel.
On the second day, housekeeping left a cleaning cloth inside my boyfriend's suitcase and didn’t notice so they left it there with all his clothes which is also another weird thing since after they clean, the housekeeping manager is supposed to check if the room’s ready to occupy.
I cannot say that staff was rude but they are not particularly nice, except this young girl from the spa maybe because we were a young couple too, treated us like we couldn't afford to be there? Was super uncomfortable, never felt it before.
There was one time I was leaving the room and heard housekeeping manager telling a maid that she had left a door open in of the rooms - they probably didn’t think that I was portuguese but ??? Am I supposed to feel safe??
One of the days I stayed working from the room and they knocked on the door 3x (after the room was cleaned) and I just couldn’t find a reason.
The breakfast was good in general but staff wasn’t helpful and some waiters did not speak english.
Overall, I would say that this is a very good example of consequences due to poor hospitality salaries and I will never come back or recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Lisbon.

I had to stay here with my family at the weekend following travel difficulties and wanted a hotel close to the airport.
There were 5 of us and was it was sold as one room when in fact we were split across 2 rooms combined via a door.
The hotel is nice and the restaurant and bars are very well represent. We utilised the Spa pool which was ok, however clearly not looked after to the level you would expect. Very few towels on beds, some rules regarding swimming caps for us but then nobody else seemed to either need to wear them or were "sold" them.
The main worry here was one of the lights in the kids end of the pool had dislodged from the side of the pool and was floating around with live wires in the water.
Rooms were clean if not slightly small.
Our room also wasnt provided with water but following a call was quickly remedied.
The service in the main restaurant was very poor, a number of requests were simply ignored and the advice provided on potion sizes for the children couldnt have been more inaccurate.
Check out was handled well and the door staff are very efficient.
A last unpleasant surprised upon return to the UK was that i had been overcharged.
May return but probably not as a family of 5.

There are no shuttles at the Lisbon Airport. Just go out to ground transportation and taxis are right there. It costs about $10 Euros.
If you don't have one, go to the front desk and they'll provide you with a loaner.
Hi Lydia, yes they are included. Only the SPA-Area has to be booked and is charged separately.
Usually every 30 minutes except during 2 hours in afternoon, it runs once an hour.
