The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon is often lauded for its spotless cleanliness and professional staff, contributing to a welcoming and elegant atmosphere that harks back to the 1950s. While the renovated rooms are seen as comfortable and luxurious, guests have called out the unrenovated rooms for feeling dated.
Opinions on location vary, with some finding it central and others considering it removed from key attractions. Despite the praise for the serene lobby and quality amenities, the hotel's value for money is questioned by many, due to high prices and inconsistent service.

Detailed Reviews
From the time of check in until checkout the complete visit was top notch luxury.
The room was very large with a huge balcony and views of Lisbon. The hotel and rooms are well insulated and we never heard any noise from adjacent rooms or the hallways. A room safe large enough for a laptop and valuables was perfect.
Views from the rooftop running track were stunning.
The bathroom was huge with separate areas for the sinks, the shower, the toilet and the deep bathtub. The toiletries were high end products from L’Occitane.
This is a true luxury hotel with service and food to match.
We highly recommend this hotel!

The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon is a large luxury hotel with an old world feel. The staff members at the front desk as well as the concierge were all super nice beyond friendly and helpful. The lobby is pleasant, large, clean and bright. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast was a bit off as they constantly tried to clear plates while we were still eating. This happened numerous times. They would ask if we were finished ( there was still food on the plate) we would say no and then they would ask about another plate and attempt to clear it while we were eating. This was really odd for a four seasons and annoying. The hotel itself feels a bit old and outdated, the rooms felt clean and well cared for but the furnishings are not at all modern, this may be a matter of taste but something to know. The rooms and bathrooms are a nice size and spacious. We had a fabulous balcony with an amazing view which was so nice. But the rooms did have a musty smell ( had to open the balcony door and leave it opened for a few minutes to air out the smell.) There is a fabulous large gym with an outdoor track on the roof with fantastic views. The location is important to know about. This hotel is not at all in the center of Lisbon it is in an area that is pretty far from everything except for the art museum. It is walkable but a far walk and not so convenient for those who like to walk a lot ( we do) but if you want to be able to walk to great restaurants at night with a 5-10 minute walk or be able to walk everywhere I would not recommend the location. If you don't mind taking taxis/ ubers many places and being sort of on the outskirts of the action doesn't bother you or appeals to you then the location could work very well. For the type of person who truly likes to explore a city on foot it is not the most practical location. Also not a location with much European charm other high rise hotels in the area however it is close to the airport which is convenient for an early morning or late night flight. So overall definitely pros and cons of this hotel, depends on taste and what you are looking for. The front desk staff and concierge were top notch so hopefully will be acknowledged for their friendliness and great work!

Dear LDNY848, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback in regards to your recent stay with us. I have shared with the team that you consider them "super nice beyond friendly and helpful" and "top notch", so as you can imagine they are extremely thankful and with a great sense of pride, you have made our day! So all of us would like to thank you for your kind words! On the other hand, I am deeply sorry to learn you have not had the best experience in the restaurant, your comments were shared with the F&B management so it won't happen again on future occasions. We are really proud of the size of our rooms and bathrooms and also our spacious balconies. The decoration is indeed classical. But definitely we are even more proud of our rooftop gym, with such a view it turns the workout to be pleasant. LDNY848, once again, thank you so much for your detailed feedback. All the team hopes to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future. With my best regards, Ana Ferreira

Truly luxury 5 stars hotel as should be all the other 5 stars hotels, from the first second when the hotel doors open with a big welcoming smile from the 4 concierge, following the classy reception and the embasadora who take you for a tour around the hotel, ending with huge room and marble bathroom having everything you need, with a lovely view from the terrace, taking care of small details always you find in Ritz, breakfast is served in a gourmet way make you feel relaxed with the background of playing piano.
Gym, spa and pool can't be better.
From my deep heart i own a word of thank you to all the staff who made my stay unforgettable.

I stayed at the Four Seasons for two nights during the spike of the coronavirus in Portugal. The hotel staff went out of their way to make everything went as smooth as possible during travel complications. Margarida from concierge managed to book me an expedite PCR test the day I arrive so I can travel back home as fast as possible, Miguel the hotel driver didn’t leave my side and made sure everything was perfect at the testing centre, Daniel at reception was also so kind and helpful.
Needless to say that the hotel was sparkling clean, they send everything you might need in a plastic pouch to minimize hand to hand contact. Everything was perfect from rooms to food to service.
Thank you for everything.

Still dreaming about my glorious stay at FS Lisbon. After 18+ hrs of travel, I was greeted by friendly faces and breathtaking floral displays by Roberto Fontanelle (who I had the pleasure of meeting when I was leaving to fly back home as new floral displays were being installed). My room was the premiere park view room, which was elegant, spacious and quiet. Such attention to detail such as having beautiful teal crushed velvet chairs modeled after the original 1950s card room chairs. I could not stop smiling walking out to my own private terrace with views of Eduardo Park extending to the Tagus river.
The hotel sits on a hill away from crowds and traffic. The common areas are quite spacious and bathed in natural light with access to open air, which decreases risk of airborne infection transmission. So relaxing to be surrounded by exquisite paintings and sculptures. I very much enjoyed my daily morning swims in an actual lap pool, and lounged by the second outdoor pool after a day at the Gulbenkian museum, which one can walk to from the hotel.
I would highly recommend dining at O Japones for incredibly fresh and expertly prepared sushi.
I truly felt rejuvenated after my stay which is priceless. Muito Obrigada and I will be returning soon to explore more of the city, and to dine at Cura (which was closed for summer holiday).

Dear Cagirl_12, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback regarding your recent experience with us. I must say I can not find the words to thank you enough, we are extremely delighted to read your comments, the entire team would like to thank you intensively, The description you have made of the Hotel is just wonderful, I could not do it better, your details are amazing. We are so happy when our guests vibrate, as we do, with the details we have prepared, such as the crushed velvet chairs modelled after the furniture of the 1950s, or the exquisite paintings and sculptures we have spread around the Hotel. We would like to remark two sentences we can not stop reading, "I could not stop smiling walking out to my own private terrace" and "I truly felt rejuvenated after my stay" You really make us feel so proud, and you have given us a sense of honour and purpose to serve you, we are so grateful for that. We are hoping to welcome you back in the near future to the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon. With my best regards, Ana Ferreira

Simply a fabulous stay for our young family. The luxury and service is second to none. The new outdoor pool is wonderful. Plenty of treats and surprises each day in our room to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. Everyone know your name and checks in with you each day to check everything is in order. Breakfast is an attentive, almost royal affair. As you walk in you feel the stress of daily life just disappear. I couldn't recommend the hotel highly enough. Way outperforms any 5 star I have stayed in in Portugal and most of Europe.

This hotel is absolutely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The Ritz Four Seasons Lisbon does not miss a thing. Every Department was top shelf. From the Doormen and Bellmen to Concierge to the Front Desk to Room Service to Housekeeping to Veranda Restaurant and the Bar each and every one was on top of what they do. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. They acknowledge you by name every chance they can and are so thankful you have come to their city and staying at their hotel. The rooms are 100% European in decorations and feel with one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. They are working on building a new outdoor pool which should be a great addition when complete. If you are going to Lisbon this is honestly the place you want to stay. The location is central to everything and comfortable walking distance to anywhere in this walkable city. If you are going to Europe make sure to see Lisbon and make this your home for a few days.

One of the best hotel we have stayed in. Service is impeccable and the attention to detail is superb. You feel well received and valued. The staff are amazing and super helpful. The rooms are luxurious and large. We stayed in interconnecting premium park view room/suites which strike the right balance for price / size / views. Breakfast is abundant but be there before 9am. We enjoyed the sushi counter at the bar area, that serves amazing food sushi/sashimi the chef can only cater for a few orders at a time but be sure to reserve. The gym is a gem :)… top floor with amazing views. The spa has great staff and treatments, don’t forget the two pools. The kids loved it and wanted to extend the stay!! My wife and I found some good down time too as hotel is super safe and secure. The location is close to Amoreiras and avenida da Liberdad, for us it was great to walk to and from the Center as we didn’t want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle. In lisbon do not bother with any other alternatives if your budget allows it. This is a tip top hotel made special by the staff and the service. My third stay and the family’s first, for sure we will be back!

Dear Myviewskt, First and foremost,  thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us! We highly value the thoughts of our guests, and reviews like these are what motivate us to continue providing an excellent service! How wonderful to read that you felt comfortable and in a luxurious space in our Premier rooms! The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon was built as the first luxury hotel in the city of Lisbon, and our recently renovated rooms were designed down to the smallest detail, to maintain the magic and charm that was originally intended for its construction! I hope you have enjoyed to the fullest the gastronomic experiences that our hotel provides, from the most typical Portuguese pastries at breakfast in Varanda, to a journey where our Sushi Chef brings Japanese food to you! We are thrilled to know that our gym and spa made a good impression on you! It is indeed a wonderful experience to do with the family, as after working out (or going up to our running track just to see the breathtaking view!), parents and children can meet in the spa’s indoor pool lounge and have a relaxing family moment! We appreciate your loyalty and continued confidence in choosing our hotel, and we look forward to continue welcoming you and your family! Thank you, Best regards, Ana Ferreira Â

The hotel is located very close to Prince Edwards Park. The check in process was very quick and easy - they also offer exchange service incase you need to exchange money (it is very difficult to find reasonable rates and places in the city). The hotel can locate taxi service as well. Additionally, their were rental options that were very close to get to a car.
The rooms very nice and very technologically advanced (the curtains would open as we enter the room). They also included USB charging. The rooms came with all the amenities you could ask for including turn down service that brought bottles of water to the room. Each room has a balcony as well.
Additionally, their was a continental breakfast that was included in the rate of the room, which had a great variety of options. I would recommend that you visit the rooftop as their is a running track on top of the building that offers tremendous 360 views of the city.

We have been living in Lisbon on and off for the past 7 months and decided to do a stay-cation here.
When we arrived we didn’t realize a new law went into effect that mandated a negative COVID test to stay in a hotel for non vaccinated people.
They wound up booking us an appointment down the street at the pharmacy and took care of everything for us.
We were upgraded to a sumptuous suite with panoramic views of Lisbon.
The room was huge, with a separate sitting area and two out door decks.
I loved the gym! It was on the top floor, overlooking Lisbon with an outdoor running track.
The food was exceptional, and the service far exceeded our expectations.
We also loved their new restaurant on site and the tasting menu they offered.
The hotel epitomizes luxury. The location is not my favorite area of Lisbon, though I would definitely return.

It’s a pretty well equipped gym with free weights, machine weights and cardio machines
Also Pilates and a running track.
It was a Ritz hotel in past years, Four Seasons took it over and kept the Ritz name.
There are three bus lines with stops with 5 min walk down the hill from the hotel. Google: Bus line close to Four Seasons Ritz Lisbon. and it will give you the info and map. Nothing on the street that the hotel faces.
We got the concierge to arrange it for us which they did. The cost for six of us for the whole day was 400 euros. We travelled around Lisbon, caiscai, sintra etc from 10am till about 6pm. We had lunch at a restaurant recommended by driver.
