Dom Pedro Lisboa has earned a reputation for its impeccable cleanliness, with guests frequently commending the spacious and well-kept rooms. The hotel's service is generally celebrated for being attentive and friendly, though some visitors have encountered issues with amenities and Wi-Fi. While the rooms boast comfort and luxury, opinions are divided regarding their style and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, with some guests perceiving them as somewhat outdated. The hotel's location garners mixed reviews, with the convenience of nearby attractions being a plus for some. However, the value proposition has been criticized due to unexpected charges and costly extras.

We stayed two nights as part of our tour.
The hotel is not really central and is a 25min walk to the main tourist attractions however walking into town is easy and safe.
The rooms were very clean and well fitted out, the single layer glass made the rooms a bit noisy but once the traffic died off the noise wasn’t an issue
Breakfast was very good with an extensive range to choose from.
Staff were friendly, spoke good English and were very helpful. The bar staff in the lounge were a standout for service and conversation

We would be happy to stay here again

A really friendly staff welcomes you to enjoy your stay in this hotel.
We stayed on a twin room, with a great view of the city on the 13th floor.
I appreciated the bathroom amenities- had it all, shower gel, soap, shampoo and conditioner, shower cap, body lotion- so the guest can relax soaking in the bathtub.
The room also had hair dryer, clothes ironing, a small fridge, and a good closet space. It also counted with a safe.
The breakfast had a amazing variety of fruits, fresh coffee and fruit juices.
Considering all this and the location it’s a 10 out of a 10

We recently stayed at this hotel for four night and had a generally positive experience.
1. The room was quite spacious, and the large bathroom was a definite highlight. However, the view from our room on the sixth floor wasn't anything remarkable, as it overlooked a nearby building.
2. The hotel staff provided a nice touch by giving us new bathroom bottles with shampoo and body gel daily, along with a delightful chocolate on the pillow. The inclusion of an iron in the room was particularly useful, making our stay more convenient.
3. In terms of location, the hotel is a bit outside the main attractions, but it's still walkable to the center in about 20 minutes. The area is uphill, so be prepared for a bit of a workout when coming back to the hotel:)
4. One aspect that might not be ideal for fitness enthusiasts is the gym. They have only one machine, which could become problematic if there's a queue.

Overall, great experience and highly recommended choice!

The hotel was nice, clean and spacious rooms. But service felt a bit off, the air conditioning was bad. The indoor pool is awesome, but the sauna and steam rooms need much cleaning to remove spores and fungi. The breakfast was good but could use more variety as you can get bored if you stay for more than a week.

The hotel is quite well located, and a nice big mall is available just across the road. You can walk to the main liberty avenue in 10 mins. Over all nice but not great experience as would be expected from a 5 star hotel.

I don't understand why this is a 5 star hotel?
I was assigned to is old, the chairs and cushions are crushed, and there are few outlets in the room.
The bed sheets also seem to be worn out
The door of the room is badly set up and sounds like a bang.
For some reason, only cash can be used to purchase tickets for the city circulation sightseeing bus at the front desk.
You can pay the same price with a credit card at the bus station.

Breakfast is bad anyway!
I stayed for 4 days, but the menu is almost the same, and only the hot vegetables change daily.
All the waiters and waitresses are working hard to clear the table, and even if the customers are seated, they put off servicing them.

If you speak Portuguese, you can definitely order an omelet.

Nice facilities, appalling restaurant.
The rooms are luxurious, clean and tasteful. The swimming area is small and rather understaffed. The steam room and sauna do not seem to get hot enough and it may because of lack of training in the staff. However, where this becomes really apparent is in the restaurant. The staff do not seem to realise that to make a decent cup of tea you need to make it with BOILING water. Our worst experience was in the evening bar where we we overcharged for two glasses of Douro (11.50 euros each) when the menu offered two choices, one wine at 5.00 euros and the other at 9.50euros. The waiter then tried to justify his charge by producing another menu than the one we orders from. My friends wife ordered hot chocolate which was undrinkable, probably because it was not made from sufficiently hot water. None of the waiters seemed confident enough to know what the menu choices were. In summary I would say this is a decent hotel let down by a really substandard restaurant. Stay here but don't eat or drink here.

When we saw the planes after each other every three minutes above the Pension, we feared the worst but the worst was not there, this Pension is perfectly soundproofed. The bedding is perfect, the round table facing the wide window is very nice. We had benefited from a promotional offer, our room on the 13th floor was (still) equipped with a bathtub, the only one of our entire stay in Portugal (15 nights). The Pension is eccentric but located in front of a huge shopping centre (Amoreiras) and surrounded by bus stops (and even an old tram) going in all directions. The number of rooms is impressive (more than 200) but the Inn is served by 4 elevators, the rooms being distributed in a star around. The access to the spa (there are some tiles missing from the pool) is open to all guests. Located in the 5th basement, this aquatic universe has something special, something of the order of the cave perhaps. In our promotional context, staying in this gas plant (at certain times the lobby is particularly noisy) was an opportunity not to be missed but the Inn is not worth paying the Award usually posted. By the way, the view of the Tagus claimed on their internal website concerns, of course, only some rooms.

We stayed at Dom Pedro for 3 nights and 4 days in May 2024. It is on the hilly side of Lisbon. The rooms are large and fully equipped with all the necessities including iron, coffee machine, hair dryer etc. The hotel is 2 min walk to the famous Amoreiras Shopping Centre which hosts many shops and eateries including McDonalds. The top floor hosts the famous Amoreiras 360 viewpoint for €5 each and the view is amazing. It also has the Auchan Supermarket in case you want to buy any bottles of coke etc. We found it very handy. Just outside the hotel are bus stops for Carris buses like 758 which take you to the city. A drinking water fountain can be found near the bus stop where you can fill your water bottles for free. It was very beneficial as the temperatures were soaring when we went.

Yes, the decor of the hotel is a bit dated, but I think it adds character. The pool and spa services are very basic so is the breakfast. But it does its job. Staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping kept leaving us chocolates everyday, which was a really nice touch.
I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Sadly this hotel did not live up to my expectations of a 5* hotel. Our rooms were on the 13th floor so good view. I thought the decor was old fashioned, all dark wood furniture and red and cream drapers with a matching headboard. My room had clean, vinyl flooring but my brother's room next door had a cream, patterned carpet which looks like it had seen better days. Really all rooms should be presented to the same standard so room 1307 definately needs refurbishing. The hotel offer 4 nespresso capsules and 3 tea-bags as "complimentary" if you use them all and want a replenishment there is a charge of €1 per item. There is no mention of a charge for a milk Pod, yet when both of mine were used, the room maid did not replace them so I was unable to make any more got drinks. The "stirring sticks" were also not replaced. At £170 per night this complimentary service should be truly complimentary. The mini bar was chargeable from the time of arrival and also not made clear until checking in there is a €50 hold per room, per night against your credit card on the off-chance you may consume anything from the mini bar or charge anything to your room. Be wary in the bars. Firstly the service is very, very slow. Secondly when presented with your bill, it is folded in such a way that you cannot see the option to remove or amend the service charge €2.55 as the wording in English is folded under so you only see the option in Portugese. A bit cheeky to do this to be honest.
The breakfast "hot" food was barely lukewarm by 8.30 as the metal serving plates are not kept warm. If you like cold beans, scrambled eggs, bacon and cold fried potatos you'll be ok. If not just eat bread and pastries as these start off cold. Waiting staff look surly and are very slow and roll their eyes if you ask for something different (English breakfast tea for example). Even getting a pot of tea was difficult and when it did arrive it often came without milk! Cocktail mixing was hit and miss and the pricing seemed inconsistent between the two bars. Won't be going back and definately don't recommend!

This was my first time in Portugal and the stay here was really excellent. I checked in on a friday night and it's a wonderful lobby with a pianist playing. I found out later it is only on Thursday and Friday nights so I only heard it briefly on check-in - would be really nice to have it daily). I didn't notice right away and didn't use many things in the room but it's at a 5-star level like slippers, some chocolates were left, an umbrella to use, hair dryer, a small fridge (but it was disappointingly stocked with minibar items for purchase so there was very little room to put anything else). The bathroom is very nice with a bidet and I appreciated the half-glass on the tub/shower which is very unique for me.

The staff are generally excellent, I wish I remembered the name of the person who checked me in as he was great and he was there when I requested something a day or two later and took care of it immediately. I interacted with the housekeeping staff a few times when I was entering or leaving my room and they were excellent as well. The room was very clean. Sometimes in hotels I wipe surfaces myself when I check-in as I am not convinced of the cleanliness but I felt absolutely no need to do it here.

There is no metro line nearby, it is a 15-min walk to the closest one, but the 758 bus I used a few times. I didn't think of finding a place close to the metro when I booked, but I would stay here again anyway as the Uber cost was very reasonable to get anywhere. I heard that Bolt might be cheaper but I had trouble registering.

The gym room is quite disappointing as it is very small and very few things, just a few weights, 1 general machine, 2 treadmills, and a stationary bike.

I ordered room service once late at night (there have 24-hr service) and it took a long time and then there was a piece of plastic paper or something deep inside the food, which was highly disappointing, but I called them and they made a new one and took this one back, which was a reasonable remedy although I then had to wait another while to get the 2nd one.

I ordered the breakfast buffet once and I recommend it, it didn't have quite the selection of items or space of the one I went to in another country the prior week but again an interesting selection of items, juices, etc. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to try the other restaurants in the building or the bar.

I would stay here again.
