We have just spent 4 nights at the Holiday Inn Lisbon plaza and we were very impressed staff were very polite and nothing was to much.The room was up to a decent modern standard the bathroom was lovely and the shower very spacious.For the 4 nights we paid about 90 euros a night and that was with breakfast included.The hotel has a bar which we only used once a pint of beer and a coke came to 8.5 euro on the last day we were able to keep our room till 2am for no extra charge.The location was excellent as we had two metros which were very close by .If we come back to Lisbon we would stay here.

Stayed for 6 nights. Location perfect, close to 2 metro stations, and using metro you are in town in 10minutes. Room smaller but sufficient, bed so comfortable, quiet and room has all necessary items, including shampoo, soap, iron and kettle with tea or coffee. Staff amazing and very friendly. Breakfast continental but in deed big choice and all that you need. Close to hotels there are various restaurants, very good pizzeria and Bistro. There is also sushi bar next door. I would come back for sure!

Stayed here for 3 nights for a conference. It’s basically brand new and about 3 mins from the nearest metro (warning metro trains don’t start until 0630 every morning so if you have an early flight,be aware-$15 Uber will so instead). Great rooms,huge shower,all modern tiled and suchlike.Usb sockets and a huge TV-I faced the road but there was little activity at night. You can get to anywhere from here,use the Metro and the nearest station on the Airport line (pink one). Staff were great,small bar and will serve you beer if you ask plus the breakfast is spot on. 5 stars all round!

We were very pleased staying here during our short break to Lisbon. The Metro station (Saldanha) is a few roads away and is on a direct line from the Airport. Breakfast was good everyday (continental buffet so no hot food) and the room kept spotlessly clean during our stay. It is a little way from the centre of Lisbon, so not bustling. If you are prepared to take the Metro everywhere, you can reach all the sights of Lisbon.

A lot of paralysis by analysis when choosing a conveniently located hotel for my first night in Lisbon. I chose this location thinking the other Holiday Inns were too far out. If I had to do it again I would've chosen the Holiday Inn Continental (which I ended up doing for my last night in Lisbon at trip's end) for my entire visit.
This HIE has a small continental breakfast. It didn't change our entire visit. The rooms are pretty quiet, but there is a busy street in front. That's the price you pay for being in a nice residential/commercial mix use area. The Saldanha metro station is 2 or 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The walkability is excellent. I give this location a solid A!
Having said that, you pay about $20 USD less for the HI that's a 10 minute walk further away from town, but you can hop on the yellow line which is a 3 minute walk from the much larger nicer newer and much QUIETER Holiday Inn located at R. Laura Alves 9, 1069-169. That yellow metro takes you to the Saldanha metro station in about 4 minutes. The Alves 9 location has a giant breakfast room with a lot more variety. The rooms are quieter and a little nicer.

I was nicely surprised to find hotel Holiday Inn express Saldhana in Lisbon so new and so clean. The rooms still smell like new and are daily thoroughly cleaned by very a friendly and hard working cleaning team, the bathroom is also very clean and spacious, with a very good shower. The matrass and pillows are also very comfortabel. AND the most important subject of my review is the front desk staff. What an incredible team of very friendly, polite and professional young people. When I arrived to the hotel, I was warmly welcomed by Marianna, she did her best to accomodate me and to find the best room solution for me so I can feel comfortable staying in the hotel for 2 weeks. And she is always ready to help and to listen. I also really would like to thank Filipe for his support and patience, Arthur for always telling me that if I need any help, they are there to help me. Also thank you so much to amazing Ana, Rafael, Pedro for their fantastic friendliness and helpfulness in the times I needed it because of my health issues. What a professional staff, nothing is too much for them (sorry if I forgot someone)... Every morning waking up with a very good breakfast, big variety of choices, everything fresh and nicely presented and clean. A big thank you to the breakfast staff to work hard and keep everything covid safe and very clean.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights, went to Morocco for three days, came back for another 2 nights. Staff tucked away our luggage - they were extremely helpful. This is a modern hotel, exactly what I would expct to HIExpress internationally. Rooms were small, but well organized, spotlessly clean, very functional/modern bathroom, and frankly we only were there to sleep. Two elevators. Very wide arrange of breakfast items: hot sausages/bacon, slice meats, fresh fruit, nuts, interesting bread, a big plus. Breakfast was a "happening" with lots of folks talking to other visitors. We split the location of airport vs old downtown, looking for reasonal room rates. I would say there were probably 14 sit down but relaxed restaurants within three blocks walking distance. Every one we tried was excellant. Many different types of cruisines: Vietnames, Italian, Iberia, Steak place, fish, French, upscale burgers, etc. Some dining out in sideway bistros. Two metro lines are about three blocks away. Lots of trees along the streets , so not overly hot. This is not a big touristy type hotel. A mix of travelers, business people, and young couples. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for a few nights at this Holiday Inn. It is wll placed with 2 metro stations within a few minutes walk. From the station it is only ten minutes to the old town. The station also serves the airport so it is an easy trip if you are flying in. The hotel is exactly what you would expect of the Holiday Inn Express. It is clean and well maintained. Staff are helpful and efficient. Overall this is a good place to stay if you are visitin Lisbon

I really just needed a clean bed, shower, and decent breakfast for a short trip to Lisbon and that's exactly what we got here.
The hotel is clearly relatively new. We had a twin room which felt large because the two beds were positioned at the far end of the room leaving an open space in the middle. It was clean and modern and we slept well.
Being a HIX, I managed my expectations of the amenities and additional services at the hotel but they managed to surpass them. I arrived at 8.30am and was able to leave my bag while I went for a walk around Lisbon for the day. There are two metro stations nearby and I was able to walk into the centre so the location was good for the price. The breakfast buffet is included in the rate for all guests. It has scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheeses, lots of pastries, salads, fruits, cereals, and yoghurt which was all good quality and perfectly fine for a HIX breakfast for a few days. The coffee machines made good coffee.
There's a bar in the lobby that surprised us with reasonable prices for alcohol so we stayed up one evening having a few drinks.

Just checked out of this Holiday Inn Express Hotel in Saldanha after Exottica placed us in this hotel under Charm Category. We stayed at this horrible hotel with just scrambled egg, thin slices of hard cheese, pork ham and turkey everyday. Their cold boiled eggs caused me acid reflux for two consecutive nights so I stopped eating my left over boiled egg for midnight snack. I have to spend 8 euro for medicine for my upset stomach at night. I stopped eating breakfast after 2nd day. Dom Henrique’s nearby hotel has complete breakfast and our tour group who stayed there were very happy and had skipped lunch because they had a full satisfying meal at Dom Henrique’s.
I asked Miguel botelho if he can turn on the coffee machine. He said he cannot it’s not 7 AM yet. I grabbed a sweet bun at 6:50 AM and this very rude staff told me I am not allowed to take any food from the buffet breakfast as it was not 7 AM yet. We have to check out 10 mins before 7 Am and this very rude with no customer service courtesy treated me like a beggar from the street! He shld not be working at the front desk instead be a guard on the breakfast buffet. Paying tourists like me shld not be treated like the way I was treated. I will make sure I will pass on my horrifying experience from my other friends and family who we’re following our Facebook posts on my Portugal trip. Miguel Botelho shld be fired for what he treated me for grabbing a small bun. Breakfast was included with my hotel and I am entitled to have breakfast.
