Chiado & Carmo
The traditionally trendy "Chiado" (literally, "squeak", the nickname of a 16th century poet) offers plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars where you can stop for a cafe or cocktail, after exploring its streets, shops, art galleries, theaters, museums and viewpoints. It's also the home to the statue of the famous statue of portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa, having is usual espresso at "A Brasileira" as he used to. You can also enjoy breathtaking views of Lisbon from the Elevador de Santa Justa or the Carmo Convent, for example. A commercial neighborhood at its core, especially for its Garrett and Carmo streets, Chiado is to this day a mandatory visit in Lisbon.

I stayed here with my husband this month for just a day while leaving Portugal from Lisbon. The hotel is situated in a hilly area so there is a steep slope to climb to go around though the areas of interest are at a walking distance. One needs to take public transport or a taxi

I stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff was very friendly, rooms are beautifully designed and very comfortable. The pool/spa was wonderful, with a heated pool, sauna and steam room. There is a restaurant on the top floor with view of the entire city that is unbeatable.

We decided to stay here after having spent at least 2 hours searching for the perfect hotel in Lisbon and were not disappointed. The hotel is nicely done. We booked the larger room for two nights which was spacious and comfy. I had asked them for a baby cot for our 4 months

Hi there, if you buy the Yellow Bus hop on hop off ticket it includes the Aerobus in its price but this will take you to the Square close to the Pessoa for free but you will still have to negotiate the hill. Same if you take the Metro. If you have a wheelie case the best way is to take a taxi from the airport, of which there are many in waiting. The hotel will call one for you on your return. Its an easy process so just chill and enjoy gorgeous Lisbon. Top tip...only eat one nata a day or you will be buying new clothes !!!!
