What an amazing hotel! Everything about our stay was perfect and we left wanting to return asap. All staff were very kind, helpful, friendly and made us feel very well looked after and comfortable from our arrival until we left. Our room was lovely with a wonderful garden and ocean view from our balcony. I am coeliac and was very well catered for with the best selection of breakfast breads I have come across. Breakfast was served in a very comfortable, pretty setting overlooking the ocean with a wide selection of foods to choose from/order.
Domagos was very attentive and friendly at the pool bar, which was another spotlessly clean and relaxing area of the hotel.
Thank you to each and every member of staff for making our weekend break such a memorable one

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at this lovely hotel. The day we arrived, we had already been told that there would be a "white party" in the hotel grounds outside our room but we were given a bottle of Portuguese espumante and some chocolates and to be honest, the party outside was no problem at all. The hotel's location is superb - right by the sea front and more or less in between Estoril and Cascais. You can easily walk to both and of course, the railway station is right on hand to go into Lisbon (and beyond). Noise from the trains was never a problem.
Apart from the wonderful location, the well-proportioned rooms, the large balcony and the joy of eating breakfast al fresco overlooking the sea every morning, the ambience is designed for you to relax. We spent many days by the pool and never had any trouble getting a lounger. Although a few staff members leant towards obsequiousness, the majority were fantastic and really couldn't do enough for us - ranging from the man who arranged our day long bicycle loan to the attentive poolside staff.
All in all a fantastic holiday and an unforgettable 30th anniversary. Obrigado a todos.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel during our honeymoon and it was absolutely wonderful! Beatriz Tacao at the front desk was incredibly inviting and attentive to all of our needs. She took the time get to know us during our check in, congratulated us on our recent wedding, and made some great recommendations for places to check out in Estoril and in Cascais. Throughout our stay she would check in with us to see how our stay was going and if we needed any additional attention to our room or any more recommendations. She was truly a gem! The view from the room was great and the amenities provided were terrific. The breakfast provided is delicious with a wide variety of options for all dietary needs. The breakfast staff was very attentive and willing to accommodate us. The entire staff was also fluent in English which really made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back to this great hotel!

This is a good quality hotel in Cascais, and had I been there on business, I would have been pleased with the choice. As a break though with family we experienced some issues that affected our stay with this hotel and made it less restful than we would have liked. For example:
1) there was no hot water throughout one evening. Reception acknowledged the problem and said it would be fixed in an hour, but the problem wasn’t resolved until the early hours of the following day. These things happen but it’s not great to be unable to take a bath/shower in a 5* hotel, and at £300+ a night, you could reasonably expect a small bill credit or some loyalty points to make up for this. I didn’t ask but was surprised nothing was offered at check out.
2) The volume of the doors is extremely loud. We were in a junior suite and the doors in the corridor (and above?) were banging through the day and night - not great when you have a toddler trying to sleep. One night was particularly bad and from what other guests said, it sounded like a party was going on elsewhere in the building. I don’t know if the disturbance was other guests or the residences above, but again, not a 5* experience.
3) One morning was particularly busy at breakfast. We asked for porridge for our toddler on arrival, reminded the staff after 20 mins and got not update. I reminded again after 30 mins and was then told it would be at least another 5 mins (it was about 10). The staff were (eventually) very apologetic but it’s not great. The breakfast was included for us as IHG diamond ambassadors, but other members of our party were paying over 25 euros each. For that, the service on that occasion was disappointing.
4) Our bill was €140 over, as we had been incorrectly charged for an upgrade on two nights. This was quickly rectified, but I’m glad I checked closely.
5) the deadlock on the door was damaged and didn’t stay on properly.
There are some great things about the hotel - the view from the third floor, dinners in the restaurant with the view, the concierge/parking, the spa… but on this occasion we were left a little disappointed.

We’re all used to staying in hotels where they have condo, but this one seems to give the condominium + privileges, as an example: the hotel rooms are on the lowest possible floors. The apartments of the condo on the highest and most floors, must have a beautiful view and little noise, for sure, lucky them! Not ours! The builder should be ashamed for this “hotel”.
Hotel reception as terrible, we had to call the manager who was at least friendly.
The main bar takes a long time, good drinks, but very little to offer to eat, go to the pool bar.

Except for the rude reception, unacceptable, the rest of the people were friendly.

Good garage and Nice garage guy who loved our car, because we have a sports car, which needs to be kept well, so guys the hotel is good for cars, not for us,” guests”.
Small room, good sheets, but not a 5 Stars, or luxury hotel at all!
Good view of the sea, despite the low floor and the train in front (and our room was the highest in the hotel, imagine the lowest floor), uncomfortable, dirty and noisy terrace by a train that passes by the front all the time.
We went in the summer, the beach ahead is not recommended, for nothing, take the car and look for a more distant one.
The ugly and small pool overlooks the train again.
The price of polo drinks well above the world average or equal to true luxury hotels is not the case.
This place between Estoril and Cascais is beautiful, but remember that you will be between a train line and a road. The Marginal.
Lower the price and improve the reception service!
Never again, for sure.

Dear Lluviaxlluvia, Thank you for having chosen the InterContinental Cascais-Estoril during your recent stay in Portugal and for spending some of your valuable time sharing your comments with us in relation to your recent experience. I would like to sincerely apologize to you, since our hotel's physical structure has been somewhat disappointing and the design of our gardens facing the Atlantic Ocean has affected your overall perception of our property. I also regret that some of our colleagues were unable to react as expected during your arrival to the hotel, and for any inconvenience this may have caused. Even when clients do not raise their feelings during their stay, we shall realise of any disappointment and ensure we do our utmost to turn this kind of service situations that are most uncommon in our hotel. On the other hand, we appreciate very much that you have enjoyed our room's delightful ocean views, the drinks at our Bar, and that our Team in overall provided a friendly service. They truly mirrored the level of service we are well known for and that you are come to expect when you stay at InterContinental Cascais-Estoril. Once again, your feedback is very valuable and helps us to maintain our high standards of service and guest satisfaction. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel on a future occasion and if I can be of any further assistance to you in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact me. Yours Sincerely, Alejandro Bautista | Hotel Manager

We visited Lisbon in September 2021 and stayed at Intercontinental Cascais-Estoril for the first part of our trip. The hotel is right on the ocean front, and just a short walk away from the charming town of Cascais. The facilities were upscale and modern. Our room had a balcony with a beautiful of the ocean. The service was impeccable! We received warm reception from the hotel team from the moment we arrived (including very nice/tasty welcome treats), were pampered as we relaxed by the peaceful and beautiful pool, and everyone went above and beyond to help customize our stay (such as helping us get reservations at local restaurants on very short notice) to make it as memorable as possible. The food was excellent - from the complimentary daily breakfast, to the fantastic evening cocktails, all served at the restaurant balcony overlooking the ocean! Though the train tracks are right in front of the hotel, we never heard the train from within our room (excellent soundproofing). Also, great COVID protocols and we never felt unsafe. We visited Sintra from here and it was much easier than going from downtown Lisbon. We regret not staying longer! Will have to stay here next time we come back to Lisbon area!

We have been lucky to be able to travel a little bit around the world and we believed we visited the best hotels (location & service) in Thailand and Mauritius. Having said this we were blown away with the welcome and service that we received from these guys at intercontinental Estoril- 2 people always went out of their way to make us feel very important carmo & Dieogo ( apologies if I’ve got the name wrong).

We stayed for 5 nights and felt it was not enough, the room was fantastic and very comfortable with good coffee and we had amazing view of the ocean. Breakfast was always a treat with the guys looking after our 2 year old son bringing him his favourite fruits every morning. We also used the indoor swimming pool, steam room & sauna which was absolutely amazing.

The cherry on the cake was the massage from Claudia- best massage ever.

Thank you for warm welcome guys we will be back

The Intercontinental Hotel Estoril-Cascais was excellent from start to finish. We had a few days booked and it was made so much nicer by the hotel staff, who could not do enough for us- so accommodating and friendly. The outdoor pool is fabulous and was really quiet. The indoor pool is within the Spa and Wellness centre. It has a steam room, sauna and gym too. The only negative thing I would say about the hotel was the price of the breakfast. €25 per person for a continental breakfast. We opted for the A La Carte menu which ended up being just as expensive. (A cappuccino was €5.50. Orange juice was €7) The staff at breakfast were very busy and had to be reminded a few times to bring out coffees, juices etc. All in all, it was a fabulous hotel but made all the better by the staff. Well done all.

We stayed 3 nights with our old daughter to escape the gloomy London weather and enjoy a few nights away. I picked this hotel as it has an indoor pool and a lot of excellent reviews. Great decision.

Tran (I hope the name is correct), the guest services manager, welcomed us and was so hospitable. Friendly, professional and wonderful with our daughter. Thank you.

Our room was perfect for us with a lovely bathroom, a very comfy bed, and a wonderful terrace with sea view. The terrace was safe for a little one to run around which adds to the relaxed sense. Some complain about the train tracks, our experience was that the trains are barely audible when on the terrace and certainly not disruptive, the soundproofing is excellent with the patio door closed and you can’t hear a thing. We actually enjoyed sleeping with the door open as the sound of the waves is so lovely.

Breakfast is in a beautiful room overlooking the water and has a good selection on the buffet or to order. Service everywhere in the hotel is exceptional. Staff go out of their way to help and to smile.

This is a small hotel with limited dining options. However the service makes a hotel for us and it was so good. There are many excellent restaurants in the area so not a problem. The easy access to the promenade makes for the opportunity to pop to the beach, to a cafe and to walk to Cascais (a beautiful walk along the seafront).

I highly recommend this hotel and we had 3 nights that felt more like a week away! Thanks all at the IC.

Fabulous hotel. We had an ocean view room which was spacious and modern, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool/gardens and the sea in the background. Breakfast was delicious and was served on a terrace again with great views. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located near the train station, and easy walking distance along the front into Cascais, as well as a good base for visits to Sintra (we got a taxi for €15 each way).

We have a son of 12. We took a superior room which has a sofa and lounge area, the sofa becomes a 'put you up' bed and as there is also a large balcony with table and chairs there is plenty of room for 3.We stayed for 4 days and the arrangement was fine.
