After spending a week walking the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, my husband and I sought out a beautiful boutique hotel for some R & R in Portugal. Estoril Vintage Hotel was the perfect choice. The mansion is spectacular with no detail overlooked. The decor was amazing and museum quality. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our room was perfectly appointed with a very comfortable bed, in-room coffee, nighttime turndown service, and even chocolates waiting on the pillows each evening. The staff was attentive and met every need without question - starting with Jorge when we checked in, the concierge team, and all the way through the wait staff and maid service. The views are spectacular. We had to pinch ourselves each day to make sure this was real.
How nice it was for Maria, the owner, to stop by and greet each of the guests individually while we had breakfast on the terrace each day - a lovely, personal touch. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for those looking for a unique and pampering experience in the Estoril/Cascais area. We walked to Cascais almost every day of our 6-day stay; only a short 10-15 minute walk. The beach is right there and many shops, restaurants, and places nearby to grab a souvenir, a sangria or Vinho Verde.
This was a good location to catch a train into Lisbon (5 minute walk to the Monte Estoril train station) and we also spent a day in Sintra. The hotel is far enough away from the noisy downtown for tranquility, but close enough to the action when you want it. This place was amazing.

Firstly - the most stunning vintage hotel I have stayed at !
My recent stay in the hotel's bridal suite was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered the room, I was awestruck by its luxurious and romantic ambiance. The suite is beautifully decorated, with elegant furnishings and a breathtaking ocean views.
We also had three rooms for my family who also loved their experience thoroughly. Specially the breakfast overlooking the ocean was a morning delight. The service from the staff was nothing short of delightful from helping us with taxis and Ubers to room service - all and all great.
The hotel's location allowed for privacy while still being conveniently situated for our wedding venue that is Forte da Cruz. Staying in the bridal suite was a dream come true, and it truly set the stage for a perfect wedding. I can't recommend this hotel's bridal suite enough for a romantic and memorable experience.
We also had a large family dinner with 12 people. Though the food was delicious, I would make a small point of improvement that the service was perhaps a little slow, specially when there were two younger kids.
All said and done, an excellent experience filled with breathtaking views, excellent service nestled in the lap of luxury.
Cannot wait to come back again to Estoril Vintage !

What an incredible place! It is absolutely beautiful and feels like you are staying in a palace. The service from the moment I booked (and was sent an email asking if needed a car from the airport arranged and if I had any food allergies) was perfect. My room had a beautiful view of the ocean, and I still dream about the balcony where breakfast is served. An easy 15 min walk to the city of Cascais. I only hope I can go back one day!!

Really gorgeous home which has been turned into a hotel by the owner who lives next door.
The staff and the owner are just charming but we felt let down in that we were obviously not happy about lots of issues and would have preferred to check out after two nights instead of four, but despite our mentioning this, as we had prepaid we had to stay four nights.
Pros:
Beautiful home
Lovely view
Cons:
On busy main road, so the pool which was very small was very noisy.
Train line also directly opposite.
Gates were not opened so we had to get out of the car each time to ring the bell and needed help leaving the property as the gates /garage closed quickly.
No baths in any room.
We were upgraded. Our initial room which was 350 euros per night, was very small indeed.
There are only balconies on a couple of the front rooms. Even though the picture did show this, we realised once we there that we really would have preferred to have one.
Lots of problems with breakfast - eggs not right or cold, cold coffee, frozen bread.
Housekeeping in room - area behind sink only cleaned once in entire trip despite our complaint.
Kettle was plugged in inside the wardrobe which meant steam went all over our clothes.
As the pool area was so small, there was no one to remove towels from previous guests, or to set up chairs or to provide water without asking.
The owner told us 'her daughter had just had a baby and staff problems' but we were not personal friends but paying guests and at the above rate, we should have been given the opportunity to leave.
The experience was lovely, but we would have gladly left after one night as the pool area was so hot that we did not feel relaxed and felt the villa was not conducive to a longer stay.

You will live like royalty at Estoril Vintage. The building is spectacular inside and out and the location couldn't get any better. Service lives up to the surroundings but is never snooty. They say that famous people stay here and you can see why. Privacy and discretion are part of this hotel's DNA. We didn't sample dinner but breakfast buffet is very fresh (breads and croissants are spectacular) and you can order hot from the kitchen beautifully presented and in manageable portions.

This hotel is exceptional on every level. The staff is wonderful and truly make your stay extra special. I was here for 5 days and loved my daily conversations and interactions with everyone who worked here. The service is unmatched from any place I’ve ever stayed. Every detail is perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It’s intimate, very unique and in a perfect location to be able to walk everywhere. The views of the ocean and city make for the perfect backdrop to enjoy a meal or cocktail. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the area. It truly is a one of a kind experience. Thank you!

This is a difficult review to write. There is so much to like between the beautiful old building, sea views, great food (especially breakfast), and some of the best service I have received.
However all of this is let down by some of the rooms. Namely the two in the basement with garden access. While otherwise nice, they both feature a half glass wall to the hallway. This odd design choice lets in light to the basement, but also acts as a very poor sound insulator. This means sounds coming into the room (staff moving downstairs) but also sound out of the room. For the self conscious, it’s not an ideal solution.
Its definitely a 5 star experience upstairs, and with some redesign, also the basement would live up to rest of the potential.

This is boutique hotel is a hidden gem!! We decided to stay in Cascais for one night and found this hotel on Orbitz. Upon on arrival we were greeted by George, the concierge/manager and he went out of his way to make us feel so welcome!! Our room was in the attic but very large with a beautiful bathroom. The owners of the hotel were very hands on as well, and made you feel like their guests. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, as is your view. The staff are always available to help and serve you. We ended up extending our stay by one night, as we loved the hotel and town so much, and then stayed a third night on your way back to Lisbon. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this location.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Estoril Vintage hotel. My husband and I stayed here before our wedding. Not only is it a beautiful, quiet and elegant hotel, they treated us like family. I fell ill suddenly and had to go to the hospital and George personally organized my transportation, supplied me a wheelchair and blanket. It was above and beyond. I was so taken care of in a time when I was away from home and under a lot of stress. The Estoril Vintage isn't just a hotel it is a family of people supporting you away from home. Would love to return <3

Amazing experience. Very nice staff , always cordial and helpful. The attention to small details , good taste decor and spectacular view of the ocean made the best experience we ever had in Europe. The story behind the house ( it used to be the owner’s residence ), and the intimate ambience ( aprox 15 rooms only ) made us all fell at home. I’m thankful for all staff and specially the family owner for making this wonderful place available to others.
