Hotel's Favourite
Had a lovely stay here. This is part of a complex with the pool 30 seconds walk down the street, and the gardens / jacuzzi 30 seconds in the other direction. Pool and gardens were both beautiful and relaxing.
Breakfast basic continental in the basement but with the option to eat on the terrace in the coffee shop upstairs. Great location next to Mareta Beach and in the centre of Sagres.
Agree that the noise in the hallways could often be heard and staff were not rude but not hugely friendly either. Also limited storage.

Spent an enjoyable 6 nights at this B&B in Sagres, and were completely won over by its charm, decor, situation and staff. We had a (cheaper) non sea view room which proved to be a bonus as it remained cooler during the day and had a wonderful view of the famous Sagres sunset. Room was spacious, king size bed (very comfy), ac, decent TV, minibar and good sized bathroom.
Breakfast is a buffet and was perfectly adequate - selection of breads, cold meats, yogurts and fruit: pretty much on par with European hotels. Although it was in a basement dining room, it was bright, spacious and you had the option to bring your brekkie upstairs to the terrace. The coffee shop is brilliant: great staff with excellent English and Spanish, lovely coffee and cakes. We often skipped desert in other restaurants so we could nip back there for coffee and ice cream!
Location is excellent- 3 minute walk down the hill to the lovely Mareta beach. If you have a car, then Martinhal beach is about 5 mins away, with windsurfing, foiling and sups available for hire from Joel in Wind4all. In the other direction is Beliches beach, which is more sheltered, but 157 tricky steps make access a challenge, but worth it.
All the bars and restaurants in the town are within easy reach of the hotel. Parking is usually pretty easy at the side of the hotel on the little square - but bear in mind it's a one way system so you must drive out towards the fortaleza and around to get back to the town. Takes 2 minutes, so wasn't a hassle for us.
We are already planning a return trip early next year.

Highlight:
The person who attended us was very cordial and communicative.
The location is good, since it is close to the beach.
To improve:
Although it is close to the beach, the location is horrible, in the middle of the roundabout, so you can hear all the noises in the world, refueling trucks, many people passing by at dawn singing, etc. Impossible to sleep with the window open. In this sense, it does not correspond at all to the photos, which give a very different impression in terms of location.
The appearance of the building is terrible, so the first impression stays with you negatively.
Although the rate is free cancellation, they charge you the amount of the room before arrival-
The breakfast could be improved and the dining room is a basement-type basement, although they allow you to go up with a tray to the cafeteria on the ground floor, which is also the hotel's.
The price of the room is disproportionate for this type of hotel.

Very disappointing and we even felt cheated. The website makes us expect that we will end up in a beautiful hotel with rooms located on a beautiful garden and with an unobstructed view of the sea. But nothing could be further from the truth..... turned out in our case. There are apparently 2 buildings, 1 of which is hopelessly situated. Overlooking a building that at the same time obstructs the sea view no garden or even a palm tree in sight. The most shabby breakfast, so bad! No fresh boiled eggs only green eggs! Nothing .....than the cheapest bread from the Lidl supermarket. It was a terrible experience!

There are many positive aspects to your hotel and we would like to suggest a few points to make our next stay even more comfortable and enjoyable, which we hope you will consider valid:
The room in which we stayed had very narrow shelves for storing clothes (as a ventilation pipe passed through the wardrobe) and we suggest putting a small chest of drawers in the room to compensate for the lack of storage space.
The issue of storage was exacerbated by only three coat hangers in the wardrobe and its base was further occupied by a mini bar.
For those who don’t like A/C, perhaps one of the side windows would benefit from the fitting of a mosquito screen to allow ventilation and to prevent insects from entering the room, especially at night.
The extractor fan in the bathroom did not function and the room became very humid after showering.
We hope our feedback will be received openly and non defensively. I did write to the hotel and have not received a response to date, so communication should be attended to.
Thank you

Ideally located, clean comfy room. We had a corner dual aspect room, the sea and sky view from the front and a mostly deserted roundabout and road to the side ! Well appointed bathroom, beware of very slippery bath ! Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed. Breakfast OK. Friendly staff. Would use again.

Excellent location above the beach and with easy free parking. The room was clean and basic but had everything needed (except perhaps pool towels). Breakfast was okay but it would have been good to have a bit more variety such as eggs and the some of the fruit was over ripe. The swimming pool at the adjacent sister accommodation is a real bonus and the pool bar man was outstanding - friendly and very helpful. Live poolside music was excellent as well.

Small intimate hotel with a cool surf beach feel. Room was adequate and clean if not a little style over substance (taps). Breakfast although underground was excellent. Everything you could want is delivered to you in a tray with a serve yourself Nespresso coffee machine. The hotel infinity pool and gardens were very well laid out. The poolside bar served a daily cocktail and service there was fantastic. Overall a great hotel which if we ever find ourselves in Sagres again we will definitely be staying again.

The hotel has an amazing infinity pool that seems as if it has no ending. Perfect for some amazing sunset views.
The rooms where great and the service even better. At the pool you will find a dedicated bartender Bruna that makes amazing cocktails!
Not far from the hotel you have the lighthouse where you can witness "the end of the world". Yes, this is where you will experience one of the best sunsets we have on this globe.
12/10 would recommend it. Thank me later!

We stayed at Mareta Beach Boutique B&B for four nights. The property has a beautiful sea view where we especially enjoyed the infinity pool with its stunning sea view. Breakfast was very nice and was included. Front desk staff very helpful, printed out some travel tickets for us and a special ‘shout-out’ to the pool bartender. He was happy to answer all our questions about Sagres and shared suggestions for restaurants. Delicious Sangria! He definitely added to the B&B experience! Bed was comfortable and rooms were perfectly clean. Highly recommend this boutique B&B!

It's a real hotel. We didn't have to phone before check-in, but reception would not always be manned.
Have you tried emailing to confirm?
Yes there is. It is still a matter of your exclusivistic level of vegetarianism and simple arrangements with the hotel management. Even if you do not do this, there is always a choice in the breakfast. Enjoy!
El Desayuno és Continental:
Zumo, leche, café, fruta, pan, croissants, pasteles regionales, cereales, jamón, queso, tomate, queso fresco, yogures.
Hay una zona amplia, pasando al hotel a mano izquierda, nosotros nunca tuvimos problemas para aparcar, casi siempre en la misma puerta. No deberías tener problemas
