If you want to lunch or dine in an excellent restaurant at a very reasonable price, it’s the place to go. Traditional and very simple food made by the owner of the restaurant/hôtel who is a charming lady. The « lulas á algarvia » and the « torta de alfarroba » are just exceptional !

Lovely hotel in quiet surroundings. Excellant service and very friendly staff. Food was lovely and very good value and they were happy to feed us whenever we were hungry. Lovely terrace area to sit and relax with a coffee. Swimming pool was really lovely and very relaxing. We loved the peacocks in the back garden. We stayed here for 6 nights and had a really relaxing holiday and would definitely stay here again.

We visited albergaria lageado and we really liked, we actually extended our stay for 2 more nights!! The pool is absolutely amazing and very quiet (such a nice place to relax)! The food is very good and with good prices. The rooms could be more modern but for the price you pay it is pretty fair..we will definitely coming back!

Nice garden, but was also everything (15 places, occupied) . But would not have made the miserable food (Frango com batatas fritas) any better. The chicken should be grilled, but was precooked and then briefly grilled, totally dry. the skin oily. The fries were matching and tasteless. All the food just bad!

This was our second visit. The hotel is small and seems to be run by a small number of Portuguese ladies. There is a pool and some gardens belonging to the hotel. the rooms are pleasant adequate and a bit old-fashioned which added to the charm. The air conditioning was idiosyncratic. A good light breakfast was included. Very good at the price.

We had a very warm welcome by the ladies of the hotel. They will do anything in their power to be at your service. I got the feeling that I had gained a few very sweet family members. Our stay was meant to be relaxing and that is exactly what you get at Albergaria do Lageado. The food is wonderful, the mansion is completely rustic, with a beautiful garden and a swimming pool. It's perfect for anyone who likes privacy and needs to slow down from daily stressful life! All this for a very good price. It's the only hotel that isn't part of the resort, and I'd say it's the best one, because you really get in touch with the locals. You have good acces to Monchique (town) and Portimao (city and beach praia da Rocha). Don't expect to be able to do a lot of activities- the direct surroundings are mainly mountains. Will definitely visit again.

Stayed at this hotel for only one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer! A lovely quiet location with comfortable bed, nice dinner and breakfast in a traditional style hotel! Great prices too! Would definitely recommend for a chilled out stay!

Had a great stay here 16th-20th August. Myself and my partner loved this place in the hills. The manager could not do enough to make sure we had everything we needed, the breakfast was good and everywhere was kept really clean. I would recommend this hotel for couples or family’s who would prefer a nice relaxing break rather than a more commercial hectic hotel. The air conditioning in the room worked well and kept us cool in the 35c heat. Will definitely be coming back to stay here again. Also the pair of peacocks in the rear garden were fantastic!

Lovely cafe at the back of this B&B and the setting is so serene and relaxing. The menu has a good offering at value pricing. The 3 of us paid 17.30 Euros in total and the coffee was splendid. The service staff was patient and friendly. It made our day even more pleasant after our long walks at Monchique.
