The Deluxe Surfhouse Algarve offers the convenience of a hotel combined with the lifestyle of a surfcamp. We focus on comfort, sports, and good food. The surfcamp has double rooms only, if requested with your own ensuite bathroom.Consequently the Deluxe Surfhouse Algarve is the ideal place to spend a relaxing vacation and surf. Not only do we offer surf lessons for all levels but the Deluxe Surfhouse Algarve is also the perfect location for any passionate surfer. With access to more than 30 different surfspots within close driving distance you can surf beachbreaks, reefbreaks, and pointbreaks. The Algarve region offers great waves 365 days a year and of course we know and share the best spots and waves with you! After a day on the beach you can choose to either find a private corner to chill and relax or play a match of tennis on our own tenniscou rt which also serves as a basketball court. Our surfcamp's premises are large enough for everybody to find their preferred thing to do after the surf. So if you're up for a night with a pool-party, our property is secluded enough to do so. With the city of Lagos close-by you may of course go clubbing there, or simply stay and use our kicker or pool table in one of our three shared living rooms.

Detailed Reviews
All possibilities of sport: nearby beaches for surfing, tennis court, free bikes for strolling around, fitness area (Venice beach style), pool.
Very relaxed owners (Annika and Marc). Helpful staff. Very nice people around for chatting and drinking in the evenings.
Great large breakfast and creative daily changed dinners (only a bit late (21:00) but optional to book on daily basis.
Very fair wine bottle prices (5€) and Softdrinks (1€).
We really enjoyed this place and I hope I can go back soon! :)
Peace.

Incredible spot, relaxed atmosphere, nice open minded people, the host couple is gorgeous. And … the food is really in a league of its own. Healthy and heartwarming with a pro cuisine spin. We’ll be back soon

I've spent four holidays there, the fifth in September and there are definitely more to come. Twice with friends, once alone and now twice with my partner. As long as you're a little open to meeting new people, this doesn't matter at all. I've always met amazing people and it was never easy to say goodbye. It is also not rare to meet someone twice there - and this means something for sure.
The hosts are super friendly and cordial. If you need something, you just got to ask. Whether it's a recommendation for a restaurant, activities like horseback riding or a detailed surf spot guide, they can help you for sure. Especially their experience which surf spots work in which conditions often goes further than what magicseaweed can provide - which I find extremely helpful. There are also two lovely dogs and a cute cat which definitely add to the place in many ways. There is also a quite nice tennis court, which I like to play on occasion - rackets are provided, as well as many other things like (good!) skateboards including ramps, basketball court, pool, etc...
One of the (many) highlights is definitely the food. While breakfast is already great, dinner is amazing. In some dishes there is always meat or fish, but they also take care of vegetarians and make something extra just for them, but I wouldn't know to much about that. All I know is that I never left the table unsatisfied let alone hungry, and I do eat a lot, especially when I'm surfing all day.
The rooms are clean and simple, but they have everything you need and you won't spend much time in them anyway. There are several common rooms with a pool table, books, a TV, an additional kitchen and they get upgraded from time to time.
At last some tips:
- They have good quality rental fibreglass surfboards for intermediate and advanced surfers too (Fatum)!
- If you're not booking a surf course (which includes transfer to the beach), you most likely want a rental car! The house is less than an hour drive from Faro airport. Many guests in the surfhouse have a rental, carsharing might be an option, but I would ask in advance.
- book dinner, it is late (9pm) but the evenings at the beach can be magical, thus it can be quite convenient and nothing tops coming back and get excited about Marc's feast.
- book plenty in advance. You might get lucky, but just to be sure...

Pro's: Super nice and supportive hosts, great surf and yoga lessons, clean rooms and bathrooms, other guests were always super nice and communicative
Con's: Equipment in the outdoor gym area is rusty and cannot be used properly, if you're not eating at the surfhouse you will get mocked by the employees, dinner in the camp is good, but sometimes there wasn't enough food, water and food extras cost an additional fee and are not included in the "complete eating package", lunch packages are not provided although you need energy especially if you're surfing the whole day
All in all, I would recommend it to friends and family, but the camp is randown and needs a little more love and attention.

We enjoyed a great week at the Deluxe Surfhouse. Staff is friendly and welcoming, lots of great people there and things to do while you are not surfing. (Pool, Basketball, Tennis, Games, etc.)
The food is really great and was a personal highlight for me!
Many of the other people there were returning visitors which says a lot about how much people like the place. It was the first Surfcamp holiday for me, but my friend I was travelling with had already visited quite a few before and said this one was the best by far.
We got some really good tips every morning where to find the best waves, which made finding a good spot a great deal easier.
The only things that could have been a little better where the beds. The mattress seemed a bit saggy and it would have been helpful if the place would provide the guests with towels (we had to use our own for the beach, pool and shower)
But all in all we had a great time there, definitely a 5/5 also considering the reasonable price for staying at the Deluxe Surfhouse.

My experience was amazing!!!! I never thought I could enjoy to much! Deluxe Surfhouse is more than an accommodation. I am very satisfied with the service and attention. I felt like I was in a family all the time. The food is excellent and the facilities are of good quality. Deluxe Surfhouse offers you a wide range of possibilities to enjoy your holidays. You can swim in the pool, play tennis, do yoga, watch movies, etc. It is very close to the beach of Burgau. I recommend this great experience! I hope to come back!

We spend our first Surfing-Holidays in this Camp and couldn't have had a better experience! A breakfast buffet every morning was included and made a great start in the day. Then we were collected and driven to the beach, where we stayed until the afternoon and got surf lessons. Most of the people from the beginner-lessons stayed in the Camp as well, which was really great. Every evening we got a (really really really good) dinner cooked by Marc who did a fantastic job! The dinner was optional and could be booked every morning, but after the first evening we decided to book it every day, because it was so delicious! We did not regret this decision, especially after a long day at the beach it is great not to worry about food in the evening. In addition, the meals were perfect to talk to the other Surfers and Surfers-to-be (as us) which was a great time. The "good soul" of the Camp Diana additionally took some of us to party one night in the next town, which was really fun, too!
A few words to the accommodation: The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The pool was great to hang out in the afternoon and it was always possible to grab beverages from the kitchen (for small money). In addition, we rent bikes, played tennis on a court and skated. All for free in the Camp!!
All in all, with all the people we met and all the things we did, it was a great experience and I would totally recommend it!

Simply put, the camp is awesome. Annika and Marc are genuinely nice and hearty hosts. Marc always seems to know the best spots for surfing. He is also a great chef. I highly recommend that you try the dinner at least once.
The rooms are large enough for a two-week-stay without feeling cramped.
The camp itself is very clean and comfortable.
Few things are more relaxing than relaxing in a hammock while waiting for dinner after a day of surfing.
