Dear Basilikh C, Thank you for having chosen Hotel Portinari for your recent visit to Bruges. We are delighted to hear that you liked the location and the design of the hotel, that the cleanliness was up to your standards, and that our staff made your stay pleasant. We have passed your kind compliments on to our entire team. It was a big boost for them, as they work hard to look after our guests. The owners have opted to have open plan bathrooms in order to maximize the use of space and natural light available. There is however a pull down screen for additional privacy. The location, nearby all major sites and attractions, as well as in the vicinity of many nice restaurants, is indeed a prime feature which makes it pleasant for our guests to get here, and to enjoy everything Bruges has to offer. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards,

Ideally situated, we travelled via Eurostar and stayed at the Portinari as part of one of their package deals. The hotel was around a 15min walk from Bruges train station.

When we checked in the receptionist gave us a map and pointed out areas of interest in the and explained

Hi we arrive on the 31st and leave on the 2nd Question is there parking available Are the restuarants open on new years eve and do you have to book them Thanks
Dear Pjw3691, You can park your car in the underground car park in front of the hotel. The entrance is inside the tunnel. It is unfortunately not possible to reserve parking space. If the car park is full, we suggest that you wait in line for parking spaces to become available. Once you're in the car park, you'll see a screen on your left hand side with the availability on each floor. We suggest that you park on either level -1, -3 or -5 if possible. When you take the exit in the corner, you'll get out of the elevator just 10 metres outside our front door. Regarding restaurants, yes several of them are open on New Year's eve, and we suggest to book them. Many of them have their own website, and publish their Christmas and New Year's fixed menu on line. Kind regards, Team Portinari
