Nice, clean & sparkling reception area, staff very helpful & polite. Room was very clean, massive bed, good AC & bathroom.
Breakfast was good, so much to chose from. You were given a tray to collect what you want from the buffet, everything was wrapped individually, Full English breakfast was provided in lidded mason jars, scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms etc. kept warm on a hot plate, we ordered fried eggs & they were brought out, when ready, by a waiter. Staff cleared up straight after guests left.
Restaurant manager was going around offering small cakes & macaroons to guests, we found it a nice touch, he was very friendly & told us to take as many as we wanted. You could see there had been a lot of work behind the scenes, wrapping, separating & presenting, it just worked well.
Sanitizer was dotted around, masks worn, covid taken very seriously in this hotel.
I would definitely stay here next time, although the €30 per night for parking was a bit steep, we had a good deal on the hotel, so evened it out.

The location is very nice. The staff is very kind and the management of the COVID in this structure is perfectly arranged. We saw it especially during breakfast where all is served in single dose packaging and rightly sealed for a good protection. Rooms are very comfortable and large. I higlhly reccomend you this hotel!

We picked this hotel as it’s a little less than a 10 minute walk away from the main station and the heart of the city, and we were very satisfied with our visit. Hotel was modern, clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
Our room and bathroom were a really good size, definitely spacious for a European hotel. The storage space was more than enough. Had a large TV on the wall with British tv channels. You get a complimentary bottle of water for each guest. If you’re coming to Brussels for a short city break, don’t bother bringing your own shampoo / body wash as the hotel ones smell lovely and are replenished everyday.
Area in which the hotel is in is absolutely gorgeous. Close to a Spar and Lidl if you need to buy anything.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone going to beautiful Brussels for a city break like we did.

Stayed this weekend for 1 night as a couple.
Room was nice and quiet, clean and with a comfortable kingsize bed.
Minibar was broken and smelly. We didn't report this though but it was obvious it was broken since a long time. We brought a bottle of champagne so we stored it outside the window instead.
Breakfast was brought to the room (you had to pre-order the night before from a menu) and it was nothing special. Very sober/limited and the quality just so so. Not my idea of a romantic Sunday breakfast...A pity they didn't serve 'buffet breakfast/eat in the room' like many other hotels do now (we had a great experience 2 weeks ago in a hotel in Liege and another one in Ostend).
Staff members we're all very friendly and professional.
The hotel itself has the perfect location and looks nicely renovated.
Conclusion: we would return but only after Covid.

Stayed in this hotel in 652on the weekend of the flower carpet , friends from the UK were in 653, we were crests by friendly reception staff that made us feel welcome straight away.
We arrived early ,so had plans to leave our bags in storage and go and relax until our friends from the UK arrived a couple of hours later.
We were told the room was ready and we were able to access it straight away,( fantastic). The check in was simple and quick, with all the relevant information.
We didn’t have t included but we never do when traveling as we like to get out early and enjoy the location we are at, however I did see the breakfast service and it looked like there was pertly of options, the service was quick and efficient and people seemed to enjoy it.
The room was spotless, with all the amenities you would need,, it had a very homely feel. Excellent coffee and tea facilities, minibar, safe,, excellent air conditioning etc
in the lobby there was cold water flavored with lemon , with jars of candies for you to help yourself.
The reception were attentive, friendly and willing to help.
The day we checked out, we had a late train, so checked out early, and left our bag in their large luggage room, and went to the kunstmusuem and then out to lunch,
The staff are very knowledgeable.
This hostel in located in one of the nicest areas of Brussels, with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, antique shops and art gallery’s . It’s an easy walk down the hill to the center of the city and the Grand-place ( the main square in Brussels), the hotel is on one of the nicest squares in the city.
It’s away from the crowds, relaxing and best place to stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. 10 out of 10.

Dear JeffZ1 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with the tripadvisor community. As you mentioned, our hotel is located in the heart of the city, the Square of the Sablon is the « place to be » in Brussels, most known for its antique shops and chocolatiers, public parking, bars and restaurant nearby. Our staff’s priority is to deliver an extraordinary experience for each guest and we are very happy to read that you have truly enjoyed your stay among us. We hope we will be able to welcome you again in the near future at the NH Collection Grand Sablon. Natalino Coscia - Guest Relations Manager

Stayed in a Junior Suite for 2 nights and easily one of our memorable experiences in a hotel. From arrival, our room was ready over 5 hours earlier than anticipated. All requests made at booking were taken into account and staff ensured that we were comfortable throughout our staff. Staff were so helpful, courteous and respectful throughout. Our suite was spacious, clean and topped up regularly as required. Nothing to fault and we hope to return soon. Thanks again to all for having us.

We chose to stay in the Sablon to be within easy walking distance of transport connections and the main tourist area which whilst lovely can be incredibly 'lively' at night. Our superior room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated, and so was the bathroom.
All the staff we encountered (cleaners, breakfast staff, reception) were friendly and professional. Having read good reviews about it, we paid for breakfast which, whilst tasty with a great a variety on offer, is a pricey 25 euros per person. At that price-point we made sure we filled up properly for the day so didn't really need to eat lunch, but rather an afternoon snack.
There were just two annoying things. The bedroom doors were quite noisy when they closed so we were easily woken up in the morning as people left their rooms. The mattress was too hard (leaving me with an ache down my leg after the second night), and I say that as a person with a preference for firm mattresses and pillows! Having said that we had a good stay and would probably return again for a short stay.

Dear LondonMjm, First of all, thank you very much for sharing your opinion with us during your stay in our hotel. It is important to collect feelings of our customers because our first objective is to meet the expectations with our best service. it's a pity that the closing of the doors of our customers disturbed you in your sleep, as well as this little lack of comfort due to the hardness of the mattresses. nevertheless I am very happy to read that you had an excellent stay and appreciated our quality services. We sincerely hope to see you again at the NH Collection Grand Sablon on your next visit to Brussels. My kindest greetings Natalino Coscia - Guest Relations Manager

We had the chance of booking three nights in this hotel during Christmas and it was absolutely worth it. The room was nice, with a king bed size, amenites, a massive tv with lot of channels, parquet, which is really unusual in cold countries, etc. What really impressed us was the tidyness of the rooms!
We would like to make a suggestion, since we noticed (and we told this to the reception when we did the check out) that the minibar from room 450 made a lot of noise during the whole day. A revision should be taken into consideration.
Overall, these were the best holidays ever, and if we come back to Brussels, we'll definitely repeat this experience. Thank you so much.

We stayed here for a week, early August, 4th floor. It was during a heatwave and our hotel room provided somewhat of a haven to come back to to cool off!
Great air conditioning, pleasant views of the locality, super clean, quiet the entire stay (did not hear a single peep from the adjacent rooms etc).
Breakfast was incredible, it's definitely worth the money and I'd recommend it 100%. The service is also impeccable. Even though it's self-serve, they will make hot drinks for you if you like, and they bring round fresh brownies and other treats every now and then.
The shower is great, it has a waterfall shower and a shower head, so multipurpose. They also have a policy that each day you don't get your room serviced you get a free drink of your choice from the minibar. All the facilities you need: ironing, hairdryer, shoe shine, there's s HDMI port so you can plug in your own TV/games if you like (we certainly took advantage of that!). For the long-haired people out there, the hairdryer (like all hotel hairdryers) doesn't do the job very quickly, so I'd recommend taking your own.
The staff were all very helpful and attentive, and seem pretty happy to work there.
Lastly, the location is perfect. Near to bus stops, tram stops and trains. And a short walk to Grand Place and Manekin Pis and many other attractions, and one of the best ice cream shops is opposite. The walk back from the Place and train station are uphill, but not long.
The one small criticism I have, and it's obviously a matter of preference, is that the beds are very, very firm. Much too firm for me and hurt my hips a bit. But it didn't ruin my stay at all.
This was my first stay at an NH Collection hotel, and I would definitely seek them out to stay at another.

We feel cheated. Please be aware of the circumstances of room 530. There's a constant loud noise all night long. We went through all te usual procedures. First waiting for a while because it will stop but it doesn't, after a couple of hours we turn off the heating to no avail and then after another couple of hours we search for whatever may cause the racket. In the early morning I went down and complained. The staff was friendly an immediately offered us a new room that was perfect. But we paid 100% for 50% of the services. We only slept one of the two nights. They offered us compensation in the form of an upgrade for a future stay, but even then we will have to pay for a standard room first. If you go to the bakery to get a big loaf of bread and get a small one, the baker will give you half a loaf of bread as a compensation or refund you half. He won't suggest you buy a small loaf next time for him to give you a big one. Maybe the man who checked us in could have been a little more sincere / honest so that we would have slept well for two nights. Afterwards they seemed to blame us for having checked in online and having chosen that specific room.
Online check-in was suggested by the hotel and may well be the safest in times of covid as well. It's twisted reasoning that you can then choose a limited number of rooms that you don't know if they will be noisy. I deliberately chose the fifth floor so that there was no noise from the street. When checking in we were only told the room was smaller than standard and we didn't mind as it was only for two nights. The constant terrible noise has been wisely hidden from us. Especially since we had explicitly requested a quiet room by e-mail. If its hadn't been for the friendly staff and decent breakfast we would score this hotel only one star.
This is why we are not satisfied with the compensation offered

Yes there are good toiletries, changed daily. As in the previous - hair care and shower gel and cake soap. There was also a pack of make up removal/ear buds etc but I didn't use it and I recall a toothbrush - can't recall toothpaste or shaving kit.
