Value
We love hostels because of their communal feel and hotels because of their privacy. At CityHub, we combined the two: more than enough ways to mingle AND your very own, private cabin. We call those cabins Hubs.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights. The guy at reception was very friendly and helpful, we were given a WiFi box which we could use throughout the city. The Hubs have a chilled out and relaxed vibe. I would highly recommend for anyone who likes somewhere to put their head at night and then get up to explore the city. There wasn't much storage place in the hub but there were lockers available. The toilets and shower areas were spotless clean. Bath robes, shampoo, body wash, towels, face cloths, hair dryer and straighteners are all provided. You get access with an activated wrist band so security is flawless.
The bar is self service and activated with your wrist band, you're then charged on check-out. Bar is very reasonably priced. We got a glass of wine, can of Sprite and two pints of beer for €11. It's a 13 min tram to the main square and ref light district of Amsterdam which are very easily accessible. There are also lots of restaurants and shops around the hubs such as McDonald's. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked to go Amsterdam for 4 nights, 5 days for our first time. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay, the room was the perfect size as all you do is sleep in them. The rooms aren’t massively spacey but who needs space? Bathroom/toilets are the cleanest I’ve ever experienced in a hostel and the physical shower is a waterfall shower so feels amazing. There is plenty of place to eat as they have a small canteen with seating areas (and a adorable cat which is apparently the boss) everything is self serve so you’re your own waiter/host which feels very homey and the drinks are very fairly priced.

Location is brilliant also as long as you like to walk everywhere but there are tram/bus stops everywhere. Centre of Amsterdam is about half hour walk away but doesn’t seem that as they’re loads of sights to be seen along the way. Vondelpark is a 10 minute walk as-well as the Anne Frank house.

Hosts are fantastic also, help you with any questions at all and they’ll even tell you the best places to visit whilst you’re staying. One of them is always about so don’t be scared to ask them anything.

All in all a fantastic trip and would recommend anybody to stay here and visit Amsterdam. 4 nights is more than enough time aswell so don’t worry if that’s all you can get.

Just got back from a lovely 3 night stay here after what was our 4th visit to Amsterdam. I have found that generally, accommodation in this price bracket is either really crap and somewhat close to the centre, or great but a 40 minute tram ride away. CityHub is kinda best of both. 10 minute tram or 30 minute walk to the centre, but also a clean, cool place to stay. Staff were sooo lovely and always on hand to answer questions whether it was in person or through the CityHub app which you can download 😎
The hotel is totally cashless and everything you can buy at the bar or in the vending machines is purchased through your wristband (which is also your room key) and then paid for at the end of your stay.
Shared showers/toilets were always clean and never too busy as there were plenty. The room itself was absolutely minuscule but it served its purpose as simply a place to sleep. If you're looking for quirky/cheap/clean accommodation close ish to the centre and you're not overly bothered on having tonnes of space, then CityHub is for you 😝

Stayed in City Hub with my girlfriend for a 2 night stay in Amsterdam. The Hubs are very small but it's what I expected. They're spotless and we both thought they were cool. The communal bathrooms/toilets are absolutely spotless and seperated In to men&women. In City Hub there is a chill out area including an area with table tennis. The bar is self service which is charged to your hub. Prices are very good. A Heineken at 2.50 and spirits from 4euro. A tram line is within a 2.5 minute walk. From there you can get to Centraal Station in about 20 minutes. There are night buses back to the same stop at night time. Would definitely stay in City Hub again.

I stayed here for 3 nights while on holiday and the experience was great! Modern, clean and casual. The self service at the bar is easy to use and clean. The rental bikes are in very good condition too with lights and locks. Everything just works as it should! Would 100% recommend staying at CityHub to anyone going to Amsterdam.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed ourselves.
CityHub is a really good place to stay if you don’t mind walking a little bit to the city centre but there is a tram that takes you straight into centraal station which takes about 15 mins or so.
The hub itself is not massive and is great for couples. The bathrooms and showers are kept super clean. And the hosts are very helpful and can tell you anything you need to know. They recommended some boat tours to us and they were very reasonably priced too.
There’s a local coffeeshop called Kashmir that’s about a 7 minute walk which we loved and would recommend to anyone who comes to Amsterdam for the coffeeshops too.
This is our second time to Amsterdam and next time we visit we will definitely be back to the city hub!

After a problem with my pay I emailed cityhub and they got back to me and allowed me arrange payment. We then arrived to I think was tim who was all smiles and really nice and helpful about the surrounding coffee shops and trams we could catch. Everything is easy to buy in cityhub with a quick swipe of your wristband that's also your room key. Rooms are comfortable and fits 2 people easily. We stayed in a top room and it was really quiet even though we were room 1.

I’ll start with the staff. Every single member we met treated us like old friends, yet remaining professional at all times. Always a friendly smile, always willing to help in any way they can. I’ve never witnessed customer service like it, just fantastic. Secondly, the location is brilliant. 5 min walk from the tram to get into the centre, straight forward, right opposite and have cooperation with the Breakfast Club which, is also amazing. The cleanliness of the pods, toilets, showers and communal area was 10/10. Fresh towels were readily available and because my partner and I are hot sleepers we needed a fan - within minutes of request it was outside our door. The showers are waterfall showers, an actual pleasure to use. We’re avid campers so seen some real nasty ones in our time ;-) there were hair dryers and shampoo/ body wash available for everyone. I cannot fault it. We are going to return. We loved every second of it and have already recommended it to work colleagues and friends!

I had an amazing stay at this cool and unique pod hotel in Amsterdam. The pods were surprisingly spacious, and the top bunk provided a comfortable bed with fun lights to enhance the ambiance. Despite the shared bathrooms and toilets, they were always clean and well-maintained. Also there is a cat there very cute, forget his name though. They give you these bracelets that let you do everything in the hubs as well you can leave your luggage after check-out and even shower afterwards if your flight is later.

The hosts were incredibly informative about Amsterdam, and the personalized app guide made exploring the city a breeze. I'll never forget the delicious restaurant recommendation they provided - that meal was unforgettable! Breakfast, conveniently located across the street, was a thoughtful touch.

The hotel's facilities, including games and fridge and microwave amenities kinda serve yourself, made it feel like a cozy living room where we enjoyed drinks and games each night in the communal space. Despite a small issue with our pod, the staff promptly resolved it and even offered us wine, which was a lovely gesture.

With the popular food hall right next door and easy bike rentals available, the location couldn't have been better. We enjoyed the convenience of having delicious food options nearby and exploring the city on the provided bikes.

Overall, this was the best experience I've had in Amsterdam, and I would gladly return in a heartbeat. If you're planning a trip to Amsterdam, I highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable experience.

CityHub has a fantastic location, great concept and the shared spaces are excellent and clean. We stayed 2 nights and, although the room was very unique, we felt that a longer stay might have made the room feel quite claustrophobic. The bed is more than big enough for two people, and has useful plugs on each side of the bed. However, the rest of the room was only big enough for one person to get dressed/ready at a time. For our length of stay, this wasn’t too big of a problem and we knew this going in!

The shared showers and toilets are excellent, we never had to queue and they were kept incredibly clean.

The hostel is a 5 min walk to the nearest tram station, and only 15 minutes by tram to the central train station and most major attractions. We got a 48 hour pass for all public transit for €15 which I would recommend. We found the hostel to be in a very walkable location, with great food nearby! We never struggled to get anywhere on time or by public transit.

A highlight was the CityHost system, all of the hosts were responsive with fantastic recommendations throughout the day and really enhanced our trip.

We would definitely recommend this for a shorter trip, if booking for a longer trip just be aware of the size of the room!

Yes it’s comfortable for 2 people. There’s a very large bed. I went with my boyfriend and it was very comfortable for us. Could easily fit a third person in the bed
