It's only a 2 minute walk from the Museum quarter but it takes almost the same time to taxi, tram or walk from the Centraal Station. We chose a Superior room on the canal side but you do sacrifice view for constant traffic noise which (my phone app tells me) is almost a constant 45 dBA (even at night) and sometimes higher. The rooms were not some of Europe's largest at the bed/mattress combination somewhat mobile. Bathroom was bijou and compact but at least had a frosted glass door to the bedroom for privacy. Staff were helpful and arranged for TV to be fixed within the day. Wi-fi works at the speed of most British builders so take you own pigeons if there is anything important to send. Breakfast buffet was cheap and cheerful and included at a nominal E12.5/person in the bill. There is no restaurant. There is a large element of you get what you pay for but the convenience outweighed the noise for us, for the most part.…
For many years now I visit Amsterdam once a year and every time a different hotel, but this was the best hotel I had so far especially the location.City transport just round the corner as well as the bus every 10 minutes to Schiphol airport. Breakfast also good As for now on this is going to be my adress when in Amsterdam. The only not so handy fact is the flight of stairs to the entrance of the hotel difficult for peole with heavy l suitcases or handicap Inside there is a elavator…
We have just returned home after a lovely visit to Amsterdam and Apollo Museum Hotel. 1.The Hotel is very convenient for everything and we were able to travel from airport by bus and bus stop about 5min walk from hotel. 2.The staff were very friendly and very helpful. 3.Water,sweets and Apples always available in reception area. 4.Breakfast had everything we wanted...maybe a little bit more fruit and a few different cereals would be nice. 5.Bed very comfortable and room quiet. 6.Shower good 7.Bathroom very small and didn't like glass door. 8.No comfy seat in bedroom. 9.Very poor Television reception. 10.My biggest problem was access at front door....my husband and I both found steps difficult and especially when carrying luggage.....but would chose to stay again as pluses outweigh the minuses. …
I stayed only one night for business. Lovely people and very helpful, semi-central position, fairly good breakfast but gosh the room was smelly and dirty! The all hotel will benefits from a deep clean-up.
We enjoyed our stay here for 2 x nights in early August. It was in a great location across the road from the hop on hop bus and canal boats. A short walk to the museums, restaurants and shopping. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioner could do with an upgrade though. There was also a bar and the staff were friendly. It was my birthday when we stayed there and we returned to the room after a day out to find a lovely gift from the hotel.…
