Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

I shall start with a positive, as there some, this hotel is in a great location, we had a room with a lovely view of the canal and our first two nights were great. On the last evening things went a little sour. After spending the evening in the local Jazz bar my husband and I headed back to the room at around 12, my husband was already in bed when I threw one of the two pillows supplied on to the floor. At this point a mouse ran from behind my pillow, across my husbands chest and disappeared! After some screaming and jumping around, I set out to find where he appeared from and quickly found a whole in the wall behind the radiator. My husband went to reception to tell them what had happened and asked to be moved, only to be told the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. We asked that they at least block the hole, the receptionist appeared at our door with a tea towel to ‘block the whole’! After a very broken sleep we woke early to pack up and leave only to be joined by the mouse again!! On check out we raised this with reception who had not been made aware of our situation by the night team. This receptionist was very apologetic but explained that only management can provide compensation. With a plane to catch and keen to get out we left our details with reassurance someone would be in touch. It has now been 4 days since we left, we have sent two emails to the hotel and had no response at all. The hotel may be in a good location and if you get a room in a higher level you may avoid the mouse but what is obvious and very sad is that management have no regard to customer experience or opinion!

After visiting Amsterdam a number of times this is by far the BEST hotel I’ve stayed in yet! Location was excellent, close to restaurants/bars/cafes/shops. Tram stop close by only 2 stops to central station. Room was clean & hotel offered free tea/coffee and had a vending machine in reception. Staff were friendly! Would return

Well situated near the museum quarter but the whole place is very small and cramped. Our room was up in the attic and although clean enough was extremely noisy. The lack of tea/coffee making in the rooms is supposed to be offset by free hot drinks and fruit down in the "lounge" but they don't allow cups and glasses to be taken upstairs to your room! Price-wise it's not the most expensive but we still felt that it was not really value for money and rather than stay longer, we moved on after two nights.

Near pubs, piano bars, discos, restaurants it is perfect to enjoy nightlife. You can have coffee and tea and fruits for free during all the day. The hotel had all I needed and the staff was cool and atencious.
