Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Very close to most attractive places and points in the city. Also a cheaper choice for this location. Reception is open for 24h. But don't expect too much for your comfy. Rooms are really small. Cleaning of room and bath is not bad not good

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, the room was bleak, chipped and dirty paint, rotten wood in the windows, the blinds didn’t work and on one window the blind was missing entirely; the door into the bathroom was rotten on the bottom; there were no drink making facilities in the room; the corridors were stacked with old doors; the carpets on the stairs and landings were dirty and worn; the pictures on the walls were faded, awful and artless; the stairs were dangerously steep; there were no communal areas only the tiny reception which was the best decorated area of the hotel. The staff however were exceptional, they were as helpful as this terribly neglected hotel would allow, and one felt sorry for them having to deal with the terrible disappointment of their guests who had been conned into the hotel by its location, it’s name, and a few choice photographs. In reality if you step back from the entrance you see the place as it truly is - window boxes with dead plants, graffiti on the walls, an air of profound neglect that opens up once you get beyond the reception. Be warned do not stay. The owners of this hotel are utterly shocking to exploit near premium prices for such a neglectful and disappointing experience. An utterly terrible place to start a holiday in the Netherlands.

The place is like a building site. Builder on site all day making noise. So if you wanted a lay in forget it. My bed sheet was dirty and had to ask for them to be changed. Tv on the wall but dont work in the bedroom that does not work, So why not take it down. Finally the shower room brain was blocked and the whole bathroom filled with water and to go and tell them to sorting out. The guy said oo yeah I that what then proplem. So if there a proplem why not sort it before your guess arrived and not half way though a shower.

I had a room in the basement. The stairs down there were dangerous. There was no TV. in the room, and it sounds like all the toilets in the hotel have its piping along the roof over the bed. So forget having a good nights sleep.
