Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Just spent a really pleasant weekend away with my daughter. We stayed in this very quaint hotel in the centre of the city. The reception staff were very helpful and accommodating as well. The hotel itself is quite homely and good value for money. The breakfast was very tasty,

Stayed three nights in this very central and nicely located Amsterdam hotel. The double room was extremely small, and it was difficult to regulate the radiator: hot! Breakfast was really poor, and a low standard in general: only canned fruit, one kind of cheese etc. In relation

We have just checked out of a three night stay at the Rokin and we cannot fault it. It’s in the middle of everything, clean and tidy with friendly staff who work 24 hours on reception to make your stay most safe and around to answer questions day and night. It also means there’s

Yes, as the previous answer stated. if i remember correctly buy your ticket before you board. It's a quick ride, maybe only a few stops. Everyone gets off there so you will know. When you get off the teain, go to the front of the station. The back of the station is for buses and the front leads into the city so this is how you tell the front of the station. The Rokin will send you info on this also. The only time I had a little trouble was which street to go down coming out of ghe train station. it is the one directly in the center. you will pass a McDonalds on the right, so you know you're going down the correct street. it's about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the station to the hotel.

Hi, if you have a lot of luggage you may want to get a taxi. If you are just taking a rucksack for a couple of nights, then you can walk. It will give you chance to see the city.

"Just say no!!!"
"Ask for a room with a view"
"We like the view to the front. The streets lights weren't a problem since the curtains were opaque."
"Make sure you get a room looking over the main street. Rooms at the back had a view of offices."
