As my wife is confined to a wheelchair/rollator I write this review as seen from a handicapped person's point of view. First impressions were not enhanced by the lack of handicap parking spaces in the parking garage. Although our room was considered to be an accessible room it was extremely small and very difficult to negotiate with a wheelchair. For a handicapped person who has to position from wheelchair to bed the bed was far too high; the affected person should be able sit on the bed with feet flat on the floor. For able-bodied me the bed was most comfortable. All in all the room felt very confined and one could debate whether it was worth €182 for the night or not - however, it included breakfast and it was a Saturday! The bathroom had certainly had a handicapped person's requirements taken into consideration with appropriate supports provided for use of the shower and toilet. No support bars were provided around the wash basin, the height of which was not adjustable. Manual taps would have been more appropriate than movement sensitive ones. The shower seat saw use during our one-night stay. An emergency cable was provided around the bathroom walls close to floor level and there was space to maneuver a wheelchair. The bathroom certainly passed our test! The breakfast buffet certainly got our approval and satisfied all our requirements. All staff members who attended to our needs were friendly and smiling people regardless of their location in the hotel, which we greatly appreciated. This a very basic review and we didn't use all the facilities that were available to us. Would we return to the hotel? We think that the size of the room was enough to deter us, sadly.

New hotel, modern decoration, cozy rooms and very comfortable bed. The staff is very young and very attentive. The location is far from the city center, in a new area with few services, right next to the hotel there is a metro station and in two stops it leaves you at the central station, located in the center and close to departures for many excursions. The breakfast was very good, with some improvements (orange juice, they did not have decaffeinated coffee), for lunch or dinner there is a very cozy restaurant in the hotel, but they only serve pizzas, good, but with limited options, and there are only a few restaurants in the metro station next to the hotel and a supermarket. The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. We were in a room where the mirror is placed very high, ideal for people who are 180cm tall, impossible to use it. All in all, and taking into account the prices of hotels in Amsterdam, the value for money is very good.

The location next to Noord metro station is great - only a few minutes ride into Centraal Station. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed (kettle, coffee machine, fridge), and I like that the toiletries include separate shampoo and conditioner. The showers are really good. Other reviewers have praised the beds, however I found it to be extremely uncomfortable. The bed was very firm, which suited my partner as he sleeps on his back. I sleep on my side, and woke several times a night having to change my position due to hip pain (not something I usually suffer from). The beds alone would prevent me from staying here again, but my partner was happy. Another concern was that the windows in the room are locked. I understand there are safety concerns, but usually you can open windows at least a little to let some air in. Despite the windows not opening, there seemed to be a permanent draught coming from them. The bar area is comfortable and spacious, and ideal for waiting before check in. Staff will happily store luggage for you.

We visited Amsterdam and Rotterdam as part of a trip to celebrate my wife’s 60th Birthday. Our group had booked the Tribe Hotel for value and convenience as the middle of Amsterdam can be overly expensive. The Tribe is a very modern, chic boutique hotel, in a very accessible part of the city. It’s close to the centre of the city but in a quieter location. A great benefit was the ability to go straight there from the ferry to drop bags off despite our rooms not being available for some hours. The whole hotel facilities were available from that point and we had a much needed coffee in the first floor bar, in fact it was probably the best coffee of our trip served with a lovely smile. Our room was good, spotlessly clean, spacious, cool and airy. The bed was comfortable (much needed) though it was a bit high for my short legs 😀. The staff were superb, very helpful when presented with a complex check in. They were polite, helpful and took time to listen, can’t ask for more. Value for money is a very subjective thing. At face value the cost seems high however compared to hotels close by its very good value. Based on the hotel in Rotterdam the following night it’s the best value I’ve ever seen. Can’t recommend this hotel enough, it’ll be top of my list when we venture back to Amsterdam

I made the Reservation with 1 month in advance 100% refundable, found the value expensive, but expected to be a hotel with this level of quality consistent with the price. When I arrived at the place, which to my surprise was basically a “lbis moderninho”, simple, poorly finished and without even correct sheets in bed, I noticed it was something very far from the expected level for a hotel that charges EUR 400/day. I opened the Booking.com saw that the same room was half the price, when I went to the front desk to report my frustration and possibility of re-fit, I received a sound no, even with the Reservation fully refundable. I'm not going back to this hotel anymore.

Highly recommend this hotel for a trip to Amsterdam.
It’s a two minute walk to the metro that takes you into the centre in 2 stops. Would highly recommend buying a travel pass that allows you unlimited travel in the city ( was €30 for 3 days which includes the trip from Schipol). We also thought the area around the hotel was lovely too. Some bars and restaurants just along from it ( mini golf/arcade).
Rooms are exactly like the pictures. Really lovely toiletries provided so don’t need to bring any ( shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion). Hotel itself has a bar/restaurant and a little area to buy juice/snacks for your room. Plenty of plugs in the bar area to charge your phone which is great if you’ve checked out and are awaiting your flight. Both room and hotels facilities were spotless clean.
Staff are so friendly, It was my boyfriend’s birthday while we were staying and they gave us 2 free drink vouchers which was a nice touch. We also arrived early and they were happy to allow us to check in a couple hours ahead.
Overall thought the hotel was wonderful for the price and can’t recommend enough.

Tribe Amsterdam is now one of my favorite hotels, and I regret that I was only in the city for two nights. The location is perfect: just two stops (ten minutes) from Centraal, and a short walk from the station, so you're not in the chaos and noise of the city, but you're also not taking an endless ride out to the suburbs either. The room was huge, the bed comfortable, loads of lighting and counter space. Check-in was a snap, and all the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. Small quibbles: the breakfast on offer was pretty expensive, even by mainland Europe standards (I've discovered over several trips over there), so I didn't partake. And while I loved the shower, I found it odd that it was binary: on or off, and you can't adjust the intensity. Other than that, though, I'll try to stay at Tribe if and when I get back to Amsterdam.

This hotel is perfect for a stay in Amsterdam! The location of it is great as the metro station is a 2 second walk on the same street which takes you straight into the centre in less than 5 mins! The interior of the hotel is gorgeous, very modern and is very clean and tidy. We had a queen size room which was perfect for me and my fiancé! The bed was very very comfy!!! The room has all amenities needed such as hairdryer, iron, fridge, kettle etc. on each room is a little board that you can change to day if you don’t want to be disturbed, or if you wanted your room cleaned. This was very useful! We never ate in the hotel so can’t comment on their food etc but the restaurant looked very vibrant and it smelled good! On check out we were able to leave our luggage in their bag hold to come back for later. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be booking this hotel next time I go back!

The hotel was a really good hotel. It is 150 meters away from the metro stop. You can go to Central Station after 2 stops. Also very close to the museum district It is also possible to go nearby with a single metro. Since we went during the semester break, the weather was cold, so we used the trams a lot. The hotel is 4-star, but believe me, many 5-star hotels in Europe are not at this level. They have very good and helpful staff. From the reception to the restaurant. The breakfast is very sufficient. In fact, my 17-year-old daughter described it as extraordinary. The rooms are large enough and very nice due to the furnishing concept. They make very good pizza at the open bar right next to the restaurant. Managers at all levels of the hotel, which belongs to the same company as the Mercure Hotel right next to it, are in the hotel. They are quite polite. We perceived their presence as not disturbing the staff. A middle-aged female manager, whose level of management I don't know (but it is possible that she was high-level or even one of the partners), was taking care of the arrangement of the tables, even the placement of the forks and knives placed on the napkins on the table. In this case, it is inevitable that you, as the guests, will feel extra satisfaction. In summary, if you go to Amsterdam, you will not regret staying at this hotel. 10 out of 10.

I am not sure about breakfast, but you can get a 24 hour pass or pay per ride and pay via card and you can use Apple/Google pay at the turnstile as well. I did the 24 hour pass as it was more economical for me.
AMS airport to Tribe by UBER is around 40€. If you have a daily flight, the best option is to go from the Airport to AMS Centrall and over there you only have to take the Metro 52 to Noord. Tribe is literally around the corner from Noord station. On the train station’s machines you can buy the Metro card and you can also use it for the tram around the city. I paid 23€ for a 72hr card. Really easy to do!
Email the hotel and they will tell you. That's what I did and had no problems. I would suggest that you decide what kind of transportation pass you want to buy before you arrive to the airport.
There are more places to choose from in the Amsterdam area.
