Had 2 nights there and found the accommodation quite comfortable. It is a distance from Central Station but is in the heart of the Museum and shopping district and close to canals and hop on hop off bus stops. The room was an ok size, the bed comfy and it had windows that opened. We were on the 4th floor facing a park. A Nespresso machine is a bonus. The bathroom was small but the shower was fine. The stairs are very steep but there is a modern elevator. Breakfasts were a highlight, eggs cooked to order and a terrific range of food to suit all cultures. The breakfast room staff are on the ball and the main lady speaks multiple languages and is a character. We would certainly stay again. Reception were helpful. A unique thing was they will not accept cash!…
Great location, almost next to the museums. We had a top floor room (typically small) that had air conditioning that was needed to counteract the heated bathroom floor. The bathroom was divided into two areas, the toilet that had a door and the shower and hand basin that was open to the room. There was no shower curtain and we suspect the heated floor was to counteract this. Noise from other rooms was minimal. Staff were very helpful and breakfast (14.5 Euros) was nice but fairly basic. We would venture outside of the hotel to the many eateries within close proximity for breakfast if we were to stay again. Whilst we considered the hotel expensive when booking compared with other hotels within the area it had very competitive rates.…
Great location- museums, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, canals, park, bus/tram stops and more. Absolutely fabulous! The room had comfy bed, nice shower (although water gets all over the floor), modern decor and some English TV. There was definitely a lack of space in the room- the bed was up against the window. There was a significant lack of lighting in the room, particularly to see into the wardrobe and when using the safe. Even worse when the curtains were shut! Room could be a little cleaner, with appropriate number of towels on each day and tea/coffee bits available on arrival. FYI- hair dryer in bathroom, no fridge. …
Fantastic location for the museum quarter and for access to public transport to other areas of the city. Quiet street with supermarket close by. Single room was teeny tiny but was clean and everything worked. Breakfast staff were fantastic but reception staff always acted as if guests were an annoyance : examples - asked for directions and was given a Google map print out in Dutch and they wouldn't help me to carry a heavy suitcase up and down the front stairs. Would probably stay there again though because of the location.…
A friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The twin room was fine in size but we were left confused as the shower room had no door on it! We're not sure if this was consistent throughout the hotel but the lack of privacy made getting ready in the morning quite an awkward experience - particularly as the separate toilet room had its own door. Apart from that the hotel itself was clean and modern and in a great location for the museum quarter. It was also close to tram lines which made it easy to get back to the train station.…
