Overall one of my better hotel experiences. Firstly the staff here were lovely and very helpful. For example, they ran out of official hotel maps and so the member of staff who checked us in actually drew us a very good map himself which was both highly appreciated and also quite comical.
The room came with the expected amenities: toiletries, hairdryer, towels etc. It was very clean, nicely decorated and spacious. However on booking I wish there had been more clarity between what they term as a double bed as we actually had two singles pushed together..
The hotel is very close to a train/metro station. This is by far the best way to get there from the airport. We made the mistake of catching a taxi when we landed and it is very expensive and potentially takes longer. Comparatively, metro travel is very simple and cheap and practically direct to this hotel, you just have to cross a large 'intersection' and go down some steps to get to the hotel.
It was great to have a cafe on site, although prices could be cheaper for hotel guests. This extends to bike hire. A desirable amenity but very hard to get hold of. I suggest you hire bikes as soon as possible as they do get booked up very quickly. I also thought bike hire was expensive (not compared to the city average), for a student hotel.
You do have to travel into the 'tourist' area though. The area the hotel is in is well connected but not for sight-seeing itself. It's actually quite industrial we thought.

We stayed at the Casa for 3 nights and we absolutely loved our stay. The rooms are very comfortable. We had climate controlled air con so the room was always at a cool temperature (we went during a heatwave). The beds were very big, cosy and comfortable and it was very clean too. We had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I've stayed in many hotels across Europe but this is the best one I've stayed in. Don't expect luxury - Casa provides a standard clean room. Think Premier Inn in the UK - a very standard clean room and you know what to expect. The room came equipped with a hair dryer, a TV which connects to the Internet, a safe, a small fridge and coffee and tea and a kettle. Rooms were big, spacious and airy. We had access to the hotel's free WiFi from our room which was on the 6th floor! They also provide a laundry service (which you have to pay for). There were hand sanitisers located at reception as well social distancing measures put into place. The reception and dining area is amazing - very modern and quriky with an aesthetic feel.

The hotel is located about 8 min walk from Amstel Station. Amstel Station is about 15 min Metro ride into Centraal which is very convenient. There is also a supermarket and a Lidl about 2 mins walk away. A very nice and quiet area, felt safe. We also hired bikes from the hotel which was also very easy to use.

Staff are incredibly welcoming and so friendly! They were so polite and so helpful! Thank you for being so welcoming. Food was also great in Cafe East! If I come to Amsterdam, I will certainly be staying in Hotel Casa again!

Hotel Casa Amsterdam was the best hotel we stayed in during our time in Europe.

We arrived in Amsterdam via the Eurostar stopping at Centraal Station. From there we go transport tickets and used the metro to stop at Amstel Station, which was not a far walk from the hotel itself.

The check-in process was smooth and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel gave us a complimentary dutch pastry on arrival, gave us a map and explained the nuances of the transportation system and how to get to our attractions.

We arrived at around 11h30 and they immediatly gave us a room (even though check-in was at 3pm).

The rooms themselves were by far the biggest we had stayed in during our tour of Europe, with an enormous bed, table and bathroom. However, the shower doors did not close properly which led to a river on the bathroom floor (hence 4/5 rating).

We went and got a 3 day transport card from reception (think it was €19) and used the metro from Amstel Station to get into the city centre (the hotel is abit out of the city centre, about 5km from Centraal Station).

The decor in the hotel was modern, looked expensive and was extremely inviting.

The staff held our bags on the final day so that we could explore before departing late evening. Upon check-out they gave us stroopwafels as a thank you gift!

We paid for the buffet breakfast on the last morning for €12.50 and was really above average.

I would definitly stay at this hotel in the future, the value for money was impeccable and the staff extremely helpful (they even printed our boarding passes for us!)

Hotel room was great. Long desk area with two chairs. Was afraid it might be noisy since students stay there, but it was a quiet, good sleeping hotel. Very good customer service. Nice restaurant. Great service. We were there over New Year's Eve. Had a problem with our dinner reservation and Lesley took care of everything. Had a lovely dinner and holiday. Quite close to Amstel station. Can catch train, tram or bus there. Maybe 5-7 minute walk to station.
Disliked · Very minor - could use tissues in the room and softer toilet paper.

The hotel casa is perfectly situated right near Amstel station ( on a canal ) from where you can get to anywhere in the city. The staff are extremely friendly and kind and knowledgeable . The rooms are basic but comfortable with a kettle and a fridge and a rather large double bed . Food in the trendy restaurant is quite tasty but reasonably priced and also has a nice coffee bar . My only gripe is that there was no tea or milk in the room with the kettle , only sachet's of coffee and despite asking at reception three times and being promised three times that they would put that right immediately , they never did . Apart from that , this is a really nice hotel .

After traveling to Amsterdam for a trade show, my husband met me at the Hotel Casa to kickoff our honeymoon! In casual conversation, I briefly mentioned our plans to the lovely gentlemen who checked me in and I had no idea he was paying attention to every single detail. Later in our room, we walked in to a rose, rose petals, candies, champagne, and a hand written note acknowledging our entire discussion! We were so blown away by this amazing gesture and attention to detail. This man single handedly made our trip and is a perfect example of amazing customer service.

As for the grounds - the lobby space is absolutely darling. Modern, cool, and very aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are nothing special at all and could use a refresh, but honestly if you are traveling and really on plan to be in your room a short amount of time this place is so worth it. Great walk to the metro station, great staff, and a bar / restaurant / coffee shop in the lobby.

Thanks for a memorable stay!

We have truly enjoyed our stay from the day of arrivial to the day of departure. My boyfriend and I had a very welcome by the reception staff. The receptionist was a great host. He gave us the feeling of coming home, giving us attention, providing concierge services and simply taking care of our needs. Our room was located on a higher floor and was equipped with modern and comfortable furniture, a spacious wardobe and a very clean bathroom. Due to Covid-19 the hotel has implemented a lot of measures to meet all necessary hygiene standards, which we appreciated a lot. We loved the location close to the public transportation. Within a couple of minutes we were at the city centre. We will definitely come back and want to thank the staff for the amazing hospitality.

This hotel is fantastic for public transport into the city, 5 mins walk to the tram stop, and only 20mins into the city center (via team), you also only have 4 stops with the metro. We used uber in the evenings, which usually cost approx 10-15€ depending on where you are going.

The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, you can also buy your public transport tickets at the reception desk. The bar had a really good atmosphere, and the cocktails were tasty.

The only downfall for us was the "Double room" doesn't exactly mean a double bed. We had 2 single beds pushed together, a big gap in the middle and honestly they really were not that comfortable.

Overall, a stylish and clean hotel, reasonably priced and close to the city. We would definitely recommend and come back next time!

it was our first time visit in this country and after lots of search I chose this hotel and expected to have a great time.
upon we our arrival , my daughter took a shower and all water float in the washroom area.
The technician arrived and he admitted we can't use the shower anymore and he cleaned all water in washroom area .
They didn't change our room as they were fully booked .
we unpacked all our suitcases and my husband and myself couldn't do any shower , it was very unpleasant.
Next morning , same problem no room available , as we didn't have that much time to visit Amsterdam , we didn't do any shower and left the hotel.
We back around 5 pm and they offer us another room .
We packed three suitcases again and moved to another room, it was really inconvenience during this short time visiting Amsterdam .
I paid $200 CAD for each night plus $51 Euro City Tax for 4 nights .
They offer me to do fully refund for first night , if you convert to Euro, it should be $142 Euro plus $12.75 City Tax .($155.00 Euro)
They offer me only $95 Euro , when I explain to him my logic and show the total of amount I paid , the gentleman told me he will get back to me that never happened .
He said he has to do wire transfer to my bank account and need swift code .
I offer him to use roof top bar and dinner instead of wire Transfer to my account and he agreed.
We went to roof top around 8 30 pm and order some drinks and find out the weather was so cold and windy .
We back to restaurant exactly at 9 pm , anything we ordered from menu , they said they don't have it .
We had to order some tapas and no main courses , when we asked, we are still hungry , he brought us peanuts and Olive and said it is only food they had .
I order Grey goose shot , she brought me something in Yellow color . I show to her manager ( it was a gentleman ) and he admitted it is NOT grey Gosse shot .
I told this unacceptable experience in Bar and Restaurant to the Gentleman ( I think he was supervisor ) and he said he will follow up with Kitchen and restaurant and nothing happened .
All these I explained , the Gentleman ( Supervisor ) agreed with me that it is truly suffering , as I didn't have that much time to follow up therefore, we left the Amsterdam
All In all, we had very unacceptable and unpleasant experience and suffered from first to last day during our stay .

I've stayed at numerous hotels in Amsterdam over the past few year and this was by far the worst experience. The TV in my room was not working and after a few attempts to fix it by hotel staff they finally had to switch me to another room. The rooms are average, nothing special at all and there are no free movies offered, only a few tv channels.

The pillows in the room had a terrible smell, an awful mildewy smell that was extremely strong! So, bad that I didnt want to use them at all and had trouble falling asleep. And, I'm not overly sensitive to smell.

Also, the water from the shower overflowed into the bathroom and I had to use every towel available to mop up the water.

For the price there are much better options closer to the Centraal Station and Museum district, with better amenities and more comforatble rooms.
