Spent 2 nights here post Rhine River cruise. Right on canal and just a 20 minute walk to Anne Frank House and 20 minutes other direction to museums. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely little boutique hotel.
I spent quite a bit of time researching accommodation options in Amsterdam and finally settled on Dikker and Thijs Hotel for a few reasons: it looked quite charming, the location was ideal for our needs and the price was right. I won't spend a lot of time repeating others' positive comments but will concur with those who found the hotel to be convenient, clean, comfortable, relatively quiet for it's location and staffed by friendly and helpful people. We had a room with a canal view which was quite lovely. What impressed me the most about this hotel was the Smart Phone they provide for your use during your stay. I must have missed references to this item when reading other reviews. What a fabulous bonus! I wish more hotels would do this. We used the phone for information and for it's map function which was much better than struggling with a paper map. I would definitely return to Dikker and Thijs and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.…
Stayed there for 2 nights. Excellent location right on a canal and had a room at back and with no noise at all. Lots of places just outside for food and coffee. Rijskmuseum very near and an easy walk to all sights. From train station just take tram 2 which stops just meters from entrance…
Perfect location for exploring the heart of Amsterdam. Steps away from the tram, in in the midst of restaurants and shopping. Close to Nine Streets and the museums. Comfortable room. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
This is a lovely boutique style hotel overlooking a canal. Perfect location, close to many restaurants and shopping, and the public tram stop is steps away. Reception staff were very nice and helpful.
