Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Visited for 3 nights to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. Check-in was prompt and easy and happened to mention to the receptionist that we hadn’t managed to get tickets for Anne Frank’s house. Within 5 minutes the manager, who had overheard this conversation, had been

Fantastic hotel and fantastic service. All our needs were catered for. The service in reception, concierge was both professional but extremely personable. The breakfast was extensive, one of the best I have come across and the facilities in the hotel are first class, an oasis in

The concierge staff was superb. They not only got us into the Anne Frank Haus, a must see and which is almost impossible to get into the week of the visit, but also recommended great places to tour and eat in Amsterdam, including the Heineken brewery. The breakfasts and

From check in to check out the place was the best! So happy our last hotel was the best one. The lobby had little biscuits to welcome you and we were personally escorted to our room that faced the canal. The room was modern, large and comfortable. The hotel location is so

We had the only handicap accessible room so can't say, however, our room was a generous size with a sitting area and had a very large bathroom with roll-in shower. Large windows and views of inner courtyard. Nice and quiet. Very comfortable. Agree with others...worth the price. Luxurious and gracious accommodations in the heart of Amsterdam.

Can children use the pool and what are the hours? I couldn’t find it on the website. Thanks very much!
Yes! I can answer this because as l was swimming in the pool a family came in and l saw the boy of perhaps 9 splashing about happily! To the best of my knowledge , we went down each day just after lunch but l cannot remember the hours perse. We were greeted by a very friendly British lady who worked in the pool/spa area (April 2018) and its a cosy family friendly pool with sauna and steam also. I would highly recommend the Grand, it's a slice of serious luxury.
