1st time in Amsterdam

Loved this hotel! The staff was outstanding, very accommodating and felt like family, the rooms were perfect. Happy hour every evening with wine and nice cheeses and snacks.....very close to museums. Would definitely highly recommend!

Stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time. Staff were very helpful and friendly upon arrival. Easy access to transport making it easy to travel to the centre city. Great location. Great hotel would stay here again.

Nice Surface But Way Too Dirty

Stayed here for about a week. First impression was quiet good (besides the smelly floor in the room and some non-dusted spots). Major dealbreaker was the cleaning which is nearly nonexisting. Bathroom (shower, sink, floor) has Not been cleaned during the entire stay, no vacuuming of floor, no wiping offen bathroom floor, no change of bedsheeds. In sum way too expensive for such a filthy expirience. Would Not recommend to stay here for more than one night.…

Quiet & lovely area

We had a great stay at Conscious Hotel. The location is slightly out of the Amsterdam central area, which is great because it's quiet, away from all the hustle and bustle after a long day. The staff as well were friendly and helpful. Two things to feedback on: Firstly, we felt that it could have been reflected and marketed that the hotel does not have any airconditioning. We understand it is part of the hotel's efforts to remain sustainable, but we were unaware of this until we had arrived. It was not a big problem for us as the weather was cooling, but I would think it must be terrible during the summer months. Secondly, we hung our towels, as per the instruction written in the bathroom which meant we didn't want them washed to minimise waste - but every single day the housekeeping had changed them, which made it quite disappointing. We decided to place a "do not disturb" sign instead. Also, the toilet design could definitely be relooked, to prevent so much water from splashing out each shower. So overall, we were left with the impression that the lack of aircon, kettle & other amenities was just a way for the hotel to cut costs since the true environment practices (the production of less waste) aren't really full enforced at Conscious Hotel.…

Thank you for your feedback! About the towels, we immediately requested our head of Housekeeping to remind the team to not to refresh the towels when they're hanging - as that totally defeats the purpose. Thank you for letting us know! I can assure you that all our efforts to help saving the planet are genuine, this mindset has been the core of our company for 10 years now. We have an eco green roof, an ATES, we only serve organic food and drinks, we clean without using chemicals, have lots of Cradle2Cradle furniture - to name only a few things. But you're right, there's always room to improve!

Cool place

Everything was great! Very nice place and friendly staff. My only inconvenience was with the check out procedure on the tablet. I expected my stay to be prepaid by the company that invited me for an interview, but when I checked out the app suggested me to pay. It turned out I had to scroll down to see the payment was already there. Luckily one guy from the staff noticed my hesitation and helped me out (kudos 🙏). But the app could have been just a teeny bit more user friendly. Cheers.…

As anybody stayed in a ‘Top floor room’, says it has a private terrace but no pictures or anymore information? Would like to know what this is like

I stayed on the 4th floor not sure if thats the top floor but saw no terrace i think when they say terrace they mean a balcony.

Just wondering how far the trams are to the hotel? I.e walking time from hotel? Also, does anyone know the closest airport to this hotel? Thank you in advance :)

There are two stops near the hotel. One is two min walk and the other is 5-7 minutes away. Real easy. I used taxis from and to the airport. I reserved my hotel through Booking and they had an offer for taxi reduction on the trip. I was by myself and this trip cost 31 euros. Going back to the airport I asked the hotel to get a taxi for me, as I left early morning (5 am). It cost me 25 euros.

How quiet is this hotel? More precisely: 1) Are the walls thin? Can you hear your neighbours talking / moving around/ closig doors in their rooms or on the hall? 2) Can you hear the noise from outside? Thanks :)

Thanks for your question Ramona! We do have sound proof windows, so the sounds from outside are minimal.
