Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect location for sightseeing and very close to the lakeside. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. This hotel is not new but absolutely spotlessly clean and had all we could wish for. The rooms are light and airy with large windows that can be opened. Although our room had no air conditioning there was a very modern efficient and quiet fan which I preferred to any noisy air conditioning. The Italian restaurant that belongs to the hotel is excellent too. We will definitely stay in this hotel again!

Such a cute hotel! The rooms (we had two for our family of five) were spacious and clean. Hotel Seegarten is located just off the main street but very close to public transportation. The restaurant on the main floor was delicious and had great service.

I regularly stay at this hotel when I come to Zurich. The service, the people, the food are all very pleasant and unobtrusive. The one problem is the small size of some of the rooms. If you need to work in your room it is important to ask for a large room with a table.

The hotel is quaint and in a good location for walking along the lake and around town. The rooms are quite small but adequate. The intermittent WiFi was a huge irritation especially when trying to refine travel plans. We also found our sleep not the best as the mattress was very uncomfortable and the room not very sound proof as we could hear our neighbours.
We found the reception staff really welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Tip: The hotel is in a good location for the New year's eve celebrations/fireworks. It is far enough from the chaos of the beer/wine and food stalls and just a very short walk to view the fireworks. We found the crowd manageable and could see well.

I spent just one night at this cute little establishment. At first, I was a bit confused as the front entrance was locked and I found a sign that said to check-in through the restaurant. Then I had to find someone in the busy restaurant to actually check me in.
I chose this hotel from a recommendation from a friend and I am glad that I listened to her. My single room was perfect for my 24 hours in Zürich— I found it to be very clean and even included a fan. The only thing that was a tiny bit inconvenient was the bathroom sink — the faucet was much too big for the actual sink so it made some tasks a bit of a challenge but nothing to write home about.
After making my reservation, I received an email that said that breakfast was no longer included (because of COVID, I am assuming) but there was indeed a small breakfast in the restaurant. I found a cute spread of croissants, rolls, boiled eggs and fruit. The front desk attendant also made coffee upon request. Thank you.

Slept here for two nights at the end of February.
The staff is very nice, however not everyone speaks English. A mixture of German & French got me a long way. Room was great for a solo traveler, it wasn't noisy and the bed and bathroom were clean & tidy.
The hotel is near tram & busstop, as well as the Opera House. In the evening you can stroll along the waterfront and a park closeby. If you're staying for just a few nights, the hotel is an affordable option not too far from the city centre.

This was our second visit this year (and about the 4th overall). We happened to stay during the Tailor Swift weekend in Zurich and reasonably priced hotel rooms were a rarity. We were able to snag a small double room (probably due to a cancellation as the hotel was fully booked when we looked earlier) on their homepage. Check-in was a breeze.
We got one of the smaller (or smallest?) double rooms where the three of us (including our dog - the hotel is very dog friendly) just about found our space. The bathroom was also on the small side, but overall it was clean and cozy and did the trick for us. The proximity to the lake and its park was greatly appreciated by our dog for the early morning walk.
The breakfast offering is buffet-style with eggs prepared to order. The offering is good in terms of quality and quantity.
Even if it was a bit pricier than during our other stays (thanks to Taylor Swift), we were again happy with our stay and sad to hear that, according to the receptionist, the hotel would close in fall this year. Zurich looses a charming and reliable place to rest your head.

This is a very pleasant small hotel in an excellent location near the Lake of Zurich and the Zurich Opera House. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms are practical, nicely decorated and well isolated from any outside street noise. In addition, a good breakfast is provided in the restaurant on the ground floor level.

City centre is just 5 min walk, lake is 3 minutes from hotel.
I want to add something. Just imagine, my family and I checked out from the hotel and we are on a train, heading to Paris. My phone rang and receptionist from the Seegarden is telling me that I forgot passports in the safe deposit box.
You can imagine how I felt at the moment, having in mind that we need passports urgently. I was out of myself but receptionist from Seegarden is telling me:
Dont worry Sir, we will send it to you via DHL to Paris and you will get your passports early in the morning.
When I woke up, receptionist from the hotel in Paris told me that passports arrived and not just that!! Seegarden paid DHL expences in total amount of 150€!!!!!
Seegarden is not just a hotel, Seegarden is a symbol for extraordinary service!

The hotel was incredibly accommodating, clean, and included a wonderful breakfast. We will continue to stay here each time our family visits. I was so nervous about moving to a new country with my pet and this hotel really helped with the transition.

Ours only had a shower too!
Sorry I didn't see your message. Yes, there is an elevator. We were on the top floor and had to walk up one flight up steep narrow stairs.
Around 10-15 minutes.
