Detailed Reviews
We arrived at Zurich Airport on the 19th December and caught the train to Zurich Hbf and the walk with suitcases to Hotel Bristol was as planned only around 8min.
The receptionists on duty were most welcoming and the check in very efficient and quick so that we were soon in our rooms via the elevator so no hefting suitcases up stairs. The 8re was a nice touch later when we had to go back to the station and it was raining as in the reception to Hotel had laid on some umbrellas. Nice umbrellas so very trusting of them. As we were leaving to catch a 7am train the hotel offered to do packed breakfasts for us which was another great touch. Altogether a great choice of hotel and would definitely go back again. Thank you to the staff on duty from the Jackson5.

We booked 2 twin rooms and a single for our group. Upon arrival both twins were upgraded to triples for free giving us a small day bed/sofa and a balcony. Room was fairly basic but met all our criteria including AC. Included breakfast was not drinks, juice, yogurt and breads. We needed to do a load of laundry. Filled up a laundry bag, delivered it to the front desk and about 5 hours later they knocked on the door with a basket of warm laundry to fold. The hotel is very close to the central district with the train stations, restaurants, and shopping. We also used a airport shuttle service which the hotel arranged but we paid directly in cash. Some street noise of Windows were open but with A.C. not an problem. Would stay there again.

Located minutes from the central train station, tram stops, old town, smart shopping street, restaurants, bars, supermarket, the location of this hotel can't be beaten for value. The rooms are simple with handwash and shower wash the only toiletries provided but the beds are comfortable and there's plenty of space. There's the usual on offer for breakfast that you find in most European midpriced hotels. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Have stayed at this hotel several times and it's the only one we consider when visiting Zurich

Nicely located just a four or five minutes’ walk from the main train station & very close to the old town. Probably not the most modern hotel that I’ve stayed at but its location was the most important thing for me as I arrived late in the evening & left early the next morning.
A nice quick & friendly check in & I was in the lift & on the way to my non-smoking room. Not a huge room but adequate for a solo traveller with a wood effect lam floor, comfortable double bed, safe, wall mounted tv, work desk, chair, electric fan, small wardrobe, clothes rail, radiator, smoke alarm, sofa, long mirror, luggage shelf/rack, bedside lights & a number of electrical sockets. A large window meant plenty of natural light & I had no issues with noise from inside or outside of the hotel. Wi-Fi was ok, easy to connect to with good speeds & consistent. Auto reconnect on re-entering the hotel was immediate. There was no iron or ironing board in the room but both could be got on request from reception.
The fully tiled bathroom was quite small & tight but bright & clean with a smallish shower cubicle, shower head & hose on a riser rail, easy to control shower valve with good pressure & plenty of hot water, large mirror, hairdryer, towel heater/radiator, towels, wall mounted shower gel & liquid soap.
I had to leave early in the morning so had to give the continental breakfast buffet a miss.
There were tea & coffee making facilities in the foyer plus vending machines for snacks & drinks.
There are numerous shops, restaurants, cafes etc located close by to the hotel & as already mentioned, the train station & old town are just a few minutes’ walk away.

Hotel is near to Zurich main train station. It is about 10 mins walk across a bridge Quad room is small and cramp. The double bed is a rolled-in bed. Breakfast area is small and overcrowded. Probably it is because it was on a Sunday. It is obviously understaffed. There is only one staff clearing and setting table and refilling food. Breakfast is standard basic spread with bread, croissants, ham and cheese. There is yoghurt and orange juice. Coffee is from the pot and not those from coffee machine which we have in other hotels in Switzerland. However for the price and location, it is still not too bad. Moreover, it is just for one night.

This hotel is in a great location if your goal is to stay in Zurich for more than a layover (all we needed). If you're just doing an overnight layover take a cab from the train station to an airport hotel (more bang for the buck if that's your need).
That said, the staff was super friendly. However, the room provided was large but sparse, the shower was cramped with alternating hot and cold water and offered small "high school gym" towels. Breakfast was "basic" at 15 euro each. I don't want to knock the hotel to hard as it is probably the best price for value in Zurich Center, but it still has room for improvement at this price point.

The Bristol is a prime example of what three-star city hotels in Western Europe are like. Expect a no-frills small room, a basic breakfast and not much more, but everything is clean and efficient.
I arrived at the hotel at 11 am, and the only receptionist on duty was extremely busy, the lobby filled with customers checking out, storing luggage etc. However, he was able to help me quite quickly and even had a room ready for me so I could check in three hours ahead of the 2 pm check-in time, for which I am grateful. I was handed a key, yes, a real key, one of those huge and heavy keyrings that you leave at reception when you go out and that are placed in a pigeon hole on the reception wall. You don't see that much anymore. Felt quaint. I found all receptionists to be friendly.
My single room was as no-frills as they come. It was not large but did not feel claustrophobic. There was a single bed, a desk with a chair, a luggage rack and a small closet, and that's it. No safe, no water bottles (tap water is safe to drink), no fridge. Wifi was fast and reliable. You will need to log in using a username and password found in a blue folder in your room. The blinds outside my window kept the room dark after sunrise. The room was well-maintained and very clean. Umbrellas were available at reception.
The bathroom came with a shower cubicle with a handheld shower with excellent water pressure. Amenities only included a wall-mounted container of a combined hand, hair and body wash. My nightly rate of 140 EUR did not cover single-use toiletries, dental and shaving kits or slippers, all of which were available at reception against an extra charge.
Breakfast (6:30 to 10 every morning, 15 CHF) was your very usual affair, consisting of all the basic cold items one might imagine a three star breakfast to have: two cheeses, two cold cuts, a few breads and croissants, hard boiled eggs, corn flakes and müsli, yoghurt, canned fruit, bananas and apples as well as orange juice, coffee and tea. Unimaginative, unsurprising, but nevertheless it gave a good start of the day.
The hotel is located 200 metres from the tram stop of line 10 to the airport, and about 350 metres from the main railway station. The old town, on both sides of the Limmat, is within an easy walking distance.
Note that the hotel does have an email address even if it is not published on their website. The address is info (add at) hotelbristol (add dot) ch.
I paid 140 EUR / night including brekafast. It is difficult to get anything cheaper with such a central location, as hotels in Zürich are incredibly expensive. I was happy with what I got and will not hesitate to return on my next visit.

I will agree with other reviews that the location is convenient. Access to public transportation and the main train station is nearby. Unfortunately that is all I have to say that is positive for this hotel.
For a budge hotel, a price of almost $300 USD per night is excessive. The only inclusion was breakfast which was satisfactory but nothing special. Anything you need for the room comes with an additional charge.
My biggest issue is with the temperature of the room. You will notice that the main hotel page makes a point of advertising that “all rooms have air conditioning”. Air conditioning is not only for cooling but also for humidity control. Upon arriving we noted that the air conditioner does not put out any cool air, rather it functions as a fan only. When we inquired at the front desk their response was that “a Swiss law prevents them from allowing the rooms to cool down too much”. The only reference I could find to a Swiss law was that air conditioners need to meet a standard for eco friendly functioning. The suggestion from the front desk was that we open a window if we want to cool down the room. Normally this would be fine. Unfortunately, our room was located just above the main entrance near the street. As it is a non smoking hotel (this is a good thing) everyone who wants to smoke does so just outside on the sidewalk, underneath our windows. So opening the windows allowed the smell of smoking to fill the room. Not to mention the noise of all the construction apparatus and workers on the street from 0400 until 2200 each day.
In the end we checked out of this hotel a day early. I found that the staff as a whole were very unfriendly but I will also note this seems to be the norm for all Swiss customer services. I also found it interesting that when we left, the front desk didn’t even inquire as to why we were leaving a day early. It would seem to me that a hotel would be interested in customer experiences. This does not seem to be the case.

We stayed for two nights in a Superior Quadruple room and it was spacious enough for Two adults and Two teenagers.
They have an elevator which took us up to the 5th floor room.
The rooms and the hotel were very clean
We were provided with fans in the room which were not required due to the cool climate.
A mini bar with complimentary beer and sodas were a nice touch.
Breakfast was adequate and consisted of Juice, Cereals, Yoghurt, Cheese, Cold Cuts, Breads and Spreads
The hotel is conveniently located close to HB (use google maps to show walking path) and the Old Town. The weather was beautiful to walk around Zurich
The tram stop is even closer.
The staff were courteous and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bristol Garni.

+1
Hotel is less than 500 m away from Zurich HB station. It looks like an old structure, lobby is quite small and cleanse. Check in was quick as well as the issue of the invoice. Staff was kind and polite. I got a room at 2nd floor, room was small, about 10-12 sm, got a single bed that was long enough for me (I am 185 cm) and enough comfortable with only 1 type of pillow. Furnitures quite old, no lockbox as well as mini bar. Room was smelling of old and close. Wardrobe very small, enough for 1-2 days trip. Bathroom very cleanse and basic, soap for shower included, hot water fine but coming slowly. Room was not soundproof at all unfortunately. I did not have breakfast. Globally I can rate this hotel 7/10 because very convenient and central location and clean room.

Oui, l’hôtel a son propre parking, payant. Il faut les contacter à l’avance, c’est plus sûr.
Aussi, si vous n’avez pas beaucoup de bagages, il y a le parking de la Gare qui n’est pas loin.
I did not use their laundry services - it’s a very basic hotel so perhaps you need to contact them directly info@hotelbristol.ch
Din’t Use it. Got to and left Zurich by train and car.
From memory, I think so. Might be best to check with the hotel.
No. There may be parking on the street but nothing in Zurich is cheap so you may have a big bill.
