The hotel is nice and location was good. Near a train station. Clean, new look. Good wife.
However, the Room was warm throughout our stay in Zurich. Issue was raised twice and a fan was provided which was inadequate at times.
Having a pantry/kitchen is excellent, but nobody from the hotel was overlooking the area. Some of the hotel guests are not cleaning after using it. Not cleaning their cutlery and not keeping the place clean. This should be managed by the hotel to ensure that the kitchen is always clean and tidy for the next guest to use.

We traveled recently to Zurich, enjoying 1,5 days in Zurich center and 1 day in a Switzerland mini tour. We were satisfied with our choice for Meininger Hotel because of the incredible value for money when compared with other Zurich hotels prices and the possibility of staying 2 adults and 3 children in the same room (something very difficult to find in the majority of hotels worldwide). We also liked the nice location, with beautiful surroundings, outside Zurich centre (but at a short distance), close to a train station and a freeway entrance. As we rented a car to visit Lindt Home of Chocolate, Luzern, Interlaken, Gridenwald and Lauterbrunnen the location of the hotel was great. Breakfast was very good. The hotel park (25 CHF/day) was also good. We only disliked the smell in the hotel corridors, please fix that.

The hotel itself has a decent price/quality relationship, however the parking is a scam. The hotel parking which is the only one the recptionists refer is 20 francs per day. However in the exact same underground park there is the option to pay 1 franc per hour during the day and 2 francs per hour during the night. This means that if you use the parking only during the night the smart choice is to not use the hotel parking

The hotel was clean and seemed updated. Beds were fairly comfortable, and the area was quiet at night. Breakfast had many options and the kitchen offered sack lunches for a fee (they need one day notice in advance). We even used the laundry facility, which was clean and easy to use through a phone app. Staff was very friendly and helpful. While not in a particularly lively neighborhood, we appreciated the calm and found the basics nearby (grocery, restaurant, transit). A quick and easy train ride to and from Zurich's city center. Getting to and from the airport required one transfer, but was still fairly straightforward. If we had more time, we would have loved to explore the expansive park across the river. Would stay again.

I love this hotel. It’s new and cool and a great value for Zurich. It’s particularly good for larger families—we had two bunk beds in addition to the double bed. Each bed has a light and usb chargers.
We’ll always come back wherever we’re in Zurich.
My only complaint is the parking—20 francs for private or you could pay the public rate. There’s not much of either.

We liked this hotel and we like the concept of a hotel which is better for the environment, which is why we choose it, even though they it is a distance from the centre.
However, they do not air condition the rooms and with a family of 4 and hot nights this time of year, none of us got a good nights sleep - the room was just too hot, well above the 23 degrees they claim.
All the other facilities are immaterial good staff etc
We’d love to support you but we won’t be back until the room temperature issue is resolved.

The hotel was in a green city, so no air conditioning. Room was pretty hot during the day in June, they were providing table fans to compensate for. No tea kettle in the room which is a basic amenity. Bunk bed for kids was a plus. Guest kitchen available on ground floor where we can cook ourseleves. Paid laundry machine available but was always booked and rush. Train station within 7 minutes walk, 10 mins train journey to Zurich HB station. Had a TV in the room but it never worked during our 5 days stay. Reported this issue on second day but nothing happened. House keeping is only upon request.

Our concept is indeed being a mixture of a hotel and hostel - combining the best from both. Nice hotel not far from Zurich city. It's around 15 min train ride from the city. The Zurich manneg station is just in walking distance, so access is not a problem. Rooms are good and looks modern. We were a group of 6 people and we booked the 6 person hostel room. It had 2 bunk beds and a large bed, bathroom and a separate toilet. You have the option to get the breakfast at 14Frank rate. Or you can even have some snacks for a fair price. Service was good.

Location is 20mins away from center but easy to reach by train fm main station. Station to hotel is approx 8mins walk, its quite easy. Hotel is clean, beds are comfy, good breakfast and they provide a guest kitchen to prepare your meals. Rooms are abit warm and stuffy during Summer and aircon doesnt seem to work which they say is due to greencity. Housekeeping is unfriendly though.

This is a newly built hotel located in Greencity, a quiet suburb, a 9 minute journey by train from Zurich HB. The hotel ticks all the boxes. It is exceptionally clean & modern with staff who attentive but unobtrusive. I will definitely stay here for my next visit to Zurich. Congratulations to the management & staff.
