Detailed Reviews
The location of the hotel in the old town makes it very easy to move around and visit the city- also it is really close to the tram line in case of further exploration of the city. The check in process was very quick and friendly, they also provided automatic hand sanitizer, which was a great plus. The rooms are very spacious and clean with great amenities. Breakfast was of very high quality and delicious. I would recommend staying here and would definitely return on my next trip to Zurich.

Although this hotel belongs to a hotel chain, our stay was perfect. The situation is very close to the Bahnhofstrasse (near to the LV store). The staff was flexible and managed everything to be convenient and pleasant for us. The room was clean, well appointed. The bed was extremely comptable (very rare in hotels in general). Also, the breakfast was really appreciated, you get exactly what you expect in a hotel : eggs, salmon, fresh exotic fruits, juices, breads, cheese, etc, etc. We recommend!

We arrived on a Saturday night. The reception area is beautiful warm and welcoming.
Upon arriving to the room there was a plate of fresh fruit which we loved. The bathroom was spotless and color scheme was cohesive with green and oranges. The bed was comfortable.
We turned on the air conditioner and left to have a nice dinner. Upon arriving to the room we were met with sauna like humidity.
We called the front desk to inquire if we were using the air conditioner incorrectly at which at this time we were informed that the air conditioner was broken and that no one would be arriving to fix it since it was Saturday night and no one was coming on Sunday.
We did our best to enjoy the beautiful room and had fan brought in but it was just uncomfortably hot and the window was open with no screen with bugs flying into the room.
This hotel is beautiful with prime location to everything. However, I would not book this hotel again due to the laxidasical manner in which the issue was handled.

We had a very bad experience of the room.
On arrival we discover holes and hair on the sheets as well as a lot of dust on the floor of the room to the point that we ask the receptionist to mount a vacuum cleaner so that we can clean the room!
Unacceptable in a Pension regardless of its level of service.
The bedding is not of good quality either. After one night we have back pain.
Breakfast offered is absolutely not up to four stars.
A summary buffet with very average quality products was offered. Given the Award of the stay, we can expect much better!
In general the Award is not worth the quality of the services and some basic services in an Inn such as room cleanliness are not ensured.

Our stay at the Sorell Hotel St Peter was amazing. We had a large 2 bedroom apartment with kitchenette, which was very useful because we are a family of 4. The rooms were large, immaculately clean, everything was brand new and the bathrooms were superb. We loved the amenities in the rooms which included an umbrella, a yoga mat and a rucksack, in case you needed one. The breakfast buffet was open until 12 noon, great for us so we didn't have to rush in the morning, and had everything we needed and expected from eggs to bircher muesli.
The girls at the reception were very friendly and happy to help us out with our requests. There was a very nice lady who helped with the breakfast who was Greek and offered to make us anything we wanted which was lovely.
We would stay here again anytime, the neighbourhood is fantastic and close to all the shops and great restaurants.

Avoid this hotel. Here I am writing my first ever review on this site in hopes that it will help another person avoid the nightmare my partner and I just encountered. This hotel is extremely overpriced for what you get. In addition, it is LOUD. There are multiple church’s nearby that ring bells ALL NIGHT LONG and every 15 mins, sometimes they go on for 30+ mins. After 2 nights of no sleep, we had to leave early. In addition, if you close the windows to help with the sound, the rooms become extremely hot. The AC simply does not work. We asked the front desk to look at it, and they assured us it was running. Our room, with the windows closed, must have been close to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix that with the loud bells still ringing through the walls and you lay there at night miserable.
Also, we placed an order for breakfast and filled out the card with our order for a 830-9am delivery and by 11am it had not showed up. Once we called, it arrived 30 mins later close to 12pm.
Avoid this entire area and hotel. If you prefer overpriced rooms, loud bells, and sauna grade rooms- this might be the spot for you!!

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel with us. In the middle of a historic city like Zurich, most churches belong to its history and are an important part of the charm of Zurich. In the rooms viewing into our inner courtyard, you can hear the church bells only weakly and they only ring in the evenings up to 10 p.m. and do not start in the morning before 6 a.m. Of course, there is also a church in the city which rings continuously, but you will hear this in the whole city if you wish to stay in the city centre. Our location is one of the things that make our house stand out, as you only have to take a few steps and you will find yourself at the famous shopping street “Bahnhofstrasse” or at the beautiful lake of Zurich. We understand that everyone is comfortable with a different temperature in the room and we do regret hearing that you have found your room to be too hot for your liking. Due to environmental laws in Zurich, the hotel has a cooling system, just like most hotels in Switzerland, which measure the temperature outside and can then cool the room around 5°C underneath the outside temperature. However, those cooling systems are only allowed to run if the outside temperature is above 20°C. This means that most of the time we have the windows open to cool with fresh air. We understand you did not have the option due to the noise of the church bells, however we would have been more than happy to offer you a room viewing into our inner courtyard where, as explained before, you would have been able to hear the church bells only weakly. Our sincerest apologies that your breakfast was not delivered to your room as booked by 9 a.m. As a tip from our hearts, we would recommend not to wait 2 hours to call down to the reception desk to make them aware your breakfast has not been delivered. If your breakfast is not in your room at the time you have ordered it, please do not hesitate to give the reception a quick call and I can assure you they will take care of it immediately and you would not have to wait until 12 p.m. We hope you will find a hotel that suits your needs for your next visit to Zurich. Yours sincerely, Matthias Ramer General Manager

We stayed here from Aug 12-Aug 15.
There were pros and cons.
Our room was nice, very modern, however, the air conditioning was bare to minimum. The average temp was about 88 degrees outside. We were told that due to the law, the air conditioning can only run 3 degrees lower than the outside temperature. There is a very large glass door that you can open (but not all the way as the bed is in the way) however, there is only a hanging screen covering most but not all of the opening. We didn't feel safe leaving it open at night.
We had a fan that kept breaking, which they replaced, but it really didn't help the heat and mugginess of the room.
There was a delicious breakfast included every morning that was available until 12. You could get coffee at any time.
I can not say enough good things about all of the young ladies working at the front desk. Each and every one of them were a joy to chat with. They were so helpful and nice. I wish I had taken everyone's names down so that I could personally mention each one here.
Housekeeping was a slight issue. The room was nice and fully stocked when we got there. However, all they did when they came in each day was to pull of the cover on the bed. They did not restock anything other than the towels. I actually had to go to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper!
Overall, we had a nice stay, thank you to the front desk personnel!

The central location of the hotel is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired: no one helped us with the luggage transfer, no one could take our car or even take us to the nearby garage. But the worst was not being able to have the room cleaned for an entire day, and not being able to rest in the afternoon, because at the reception they kept telling us that it would be tidied up within a few minutes, only to discover that the staff had actually left. Street. I wouldn't call it a 4 star hotel.

I stayed here two nights on business. The hotel has a great location in Zurich's old town center, short walks from a number of great restaurants and sites. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and modern (not always the case in Switzerland!) with just a dash of quirk (hello, branded rubber duckie!).
Also, one tip - the hotel doesn't seem to have a full restaurant, but literally next door is a terrific Italian restaurant, and many more are just two minutes away.

The hotel is in a very good location in Zurich. The hotel has a very modern and tasteful look. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. The only complaint is that the room would not cool down very well and asked if there was a problem with the air conditioning. We asked about this and they said that the air conditioner was eco friendly meaning that it doesn’t cool like a real air conditioner. We were lucky that is was May and it was warm but not that hot yet. I think it would be hard to recommend this place in the really hot summer months. When you are in Zurich you are walking around and will get back to your room tired and sweaty, so good air conditioning is an important feature in our opinion .

Dear Guest
Thank you for your message.
When arriving and departing by car, you can drive up directly to the hotel to unload and load your luggage in the pedestrian zone.
You can reach us via the Münsterhof, then drive to Waaggasse, cross Zeughausplatz, pass the Zeughauskeller and reach In Gassen 10.
Another driveway leads you via Nüschelerstrasse left into St. Peterstrasse, then right into Zeugwartsgasse and finally left to In Gassen 10 opposite the Bindella restaurant.
Since the hotel does not have any parking spaces, we recommend that you use the public parking garages Urania It is less than a 10-minute walk from the Sorell Hotel St. Peter.
We happy to see you soo in zuerich.
